Channel surfing today and Nation Geographic has a new series called “Doomsday Preppers.” Basically, survivalists. Each episode interviews people who believe that America is going to experience either a financial catastrophe of epic proportions or maybe a massive natural disaster that will incapacitate the country for months or years. After each paranoid tells us all the elaborate preparations they have made (and these people usually own lots of land and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars) experts tell them how deluded they are, or not.
