Jason: Sometimes I wonder if I’m to blame for this unpaid v. paid blogger argument. My beef with Arianna was not that she would not pay for blogging (always a given) but that she led me on for two years with emails stating her interest in my pursuing original reporting that she might be willing to pay for. But every time, after I’d invested time, money and sources in working up a project, she always sent Roy Sekoff out to tell me that there was no money to do it. Finally, I had had it.
