I thought that it was alright, besides the whipping scene, which was brutal and unnecessarily long.

The portrayal of Satan and Judas was to me the most intriguing aspect.

Well, there was one redeeming aspect to Transformers 2: The fight scene in the forest were Optimus dies.

Now, that was amazing, both technically and from a character standpoint. Shame the whole movie wasn’t like that.

Guys, I think wts and Adonai both make good points.

I find Adonai to be more objective in his viewpoints, but since we are discussing an essentially subjective subject I appreciate wts’ in depth thoughts on the subject.

Ultimately, I’m rather torn, so I’ll give an example of a Film for you guys to rate. I apologise if you haven’t seen it:

“Apocalypto”

Now, I really enjoyed this film. It shows the downfall of a once great civilisation through the eyes of an outsider and is generally quite good. Now, it is violent as hell, but the violence is generally in context, except for the “bodies” scene.

What would you guys think of it?

That’s a good idea.

Then only works like “Saw” and “Grotesque” would fall under censorship and works like “Saving Private Ryan” and “Schindler’s List” would not.

However, it seems very subjective. Perhaps an appeals process?

Okay, since style over substance is why I liked TRON Legacy I can see why people liked “Kill Bill”. Though, I still don’t understand why people liked Transformers 2.

You’re engaging in both mischaracterisations and sweeping generalisations. All of which can be applied to any medium by anybody with a severe disliking of them.

I’d put it up there with Ghost in The Shell”,”Death Note” and “Cowboy Bebop”.

That description could easily be applied to Film studios and Book publishers.

That series has an over 18s rating in most countries.

Also, saying that you have no interest in any anime at all after watching it is like having no interest in books after reading Twilight.
