That’s were a crapload of invaluable resources are. If the German army hadn’t been sent to rescue Mussolini’s forces from Greece, then Hitler would have invaded Russia a month or two earlier. The German army would have probably taken Moscow and beyond then before Winter set in. Because, while the Russians kicked the Germans out of their country, it was the Winter that turned the tide for them. As regards to neutrality, the South of Ireland managed to sit this one out.
