I will gladly sign. There were few comments under Breitbart’s post and mostly from newbies which I wrote in my comment but they wouldn’t print it. I tried another comment and it was also censored. It occurred to me that maybe that’s why there were few comments! I also told them I refused to read the article – that didn’t fly either.

Every vote for every piece of chit legislature has come from Congress which has put us where we presently stand and they don’t take any responsibility. They continue to pat themselves on the back, give themselves raises and add to their benefits. What I’d like to have is an expose on every congressman on their financial status before entering congress and present day, because I don’t think that measly $200k a year seems like it would turn them all into millionaires. Something stinks.

JkkFL – are you from Indy? I work at Butler, as well as went to school there! It’s spring break but next weekend is going to be party time. This really is old style Hoosier basketball and they play at Hinkle where “Hoosiers” was filmed. (I’m sure you knew that!)

This prison facility had been a state hospital for the mentally ill until Reagan shut it down and the county (desperate for jobs) was promised non-violent offenders. There are many other stories but I think our prisons are full of mentally ill people and the shocking thing is how little training these new guards get compared to the old state guards.

Daniels privatized a few in Indiana that were for non violent offenders then they brought up prisoners from Arizona and they didn’t mix well – they had a riot. It now takes no training to be a guard, you used to get state benefits and that’s gone. Non violent? I worked at the hospital there for a few years and they were suppose to take these guys to Indy but for emergencies they brought them to us. I had a guy come in both hand and foot shackles to our small county waiting room. He had smeared feces all over his hair and body and said he inserted a ballpoint pen in his penis. He scared the hell out of all the young girls so I registered him with the nurse and guards were present. He was totally inappropriate The had to X-ray him and he was fine but this is a non violent offender?

Very true. I was divorced when my sons were both out of college and it still affected them. Life is really how you handle adversity – cause shit happens. Luckily for most of us nothing as dramatic as Katrina or Japan.

That’s why it shouldn’t be privatized – there shouldn’t be a profit motive to keep people in jail. Like that PA judge that was convicted in the “kids for cash” scandal a couple weeks ago for putting boys away – sick!
