Weekend Music Thread – Mellow Yellow

Hi, Fergie – Thank you, always nice to hear from you as well! Melbourne is so far away from me yet with those advances of technology we are just a keyboard apart from each other. 😉 I am in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – there are 10,040 miles between the two cities! Remember actually using a stamp to “mail” a letter, now it’s just the click of a send button. 😉

I thought it was your winter time. – My older daughter is in Tokyo doing a post-doctoral research fellowship for a year. I talked to her over the weekend and she was envious of our cooler weather – it was 88 F with 76% humidity there! It is unusual with the humidity here, too. Much less than our normally hot and humid days of August. It was 64 F when I got up this morning, it is predicated to remain cooler for the week.

The music thread is great, I enjoy having a theme to match with all of the various music and lyrics. And I completely agree – it is very relaxing! Music is definitely a way to escape for a while from other “stuff”! 🙂 Take care.

Hi, Fergie – Great one! I found this after I had posted another song by the Eagles – they knew how to get the music “mellow”! It was a gorgeous evening here, sunny and 72 outside. My husband grilled some chicken for dinner and I had the wine chilling. 😉 So unusual for the first week in August, we should be having the scorching hot days of summer. – The low for tonight is 55!

Just a relaxing weekend here, plan to watch an old sci-fi classic movie: The Day the Earth Stood Still. The one from 1951, not the remake. – Did I mention that over half of our DVD collection is sci-fi movies? 😉 Hope your week goes well, take care. 🙂
