The MSM is too short sighted to recognize strategy. As each strategic step is taken, the MSM judges that step independently and in a hyped-up magnifying glass.

They can’t extrapolate, once something is over, they look back and pat themselves on the back for being so clever…though they end up contradicting their earlier declarations.

That does seem the natural progression. And one day, the GOP will have to flip as they did on SS and Medicare, into embracing HCR because running against it will prove political poison.

Not quite by this Nov though I think the anti-Gov sentiment will be greatly softened by then, just the Baggers and Repubs feeling it as strongly.

Night Kes! I think it will be gradual but most Americans will embrace HCR like they do SS and Medicare. In fact, just by accomplishing this, I think Obama and the Dems will see a big boost in approval in the polls.

I think they did want to do Deem and Pass, not because they didn’t have the votes but as a trade off with Dems in red districts to help them.

Notice how when it became an issue, they just dumped it? They didn’t need it, they just wanted it.

They had that 72 hour rule so I don’t think they would have changed it in the last 3 days.

From what the Dems have been saying, Steny in particular, they knew well ahead of time that they had the votes but let the MSM go crazy about “Do they have enough votes?”

That was good strategy.

The XO was released today but I have a feeling it was in the works and agreed upon much earlier in the week.

Exactly! Nothing cows the RW like Dems winning votes. They are all about winning at all costs, winning seems to be the only thing that matters to them so when Dems win, they’re staggered.

On Fox: Bizarroland! Geraldo saying that Obama really accomplished something as President, is all American’s President and at some time we should all come together as Americans.
