I would be glad to send you some! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 3:38 pm OH yikes! At least we had that meltdown last weekend. I’m SO sorry, YOU have it much worse! I’m so sick of it already! UGH….I’ve really had enough of old man winter! Where do you even put all the snow after that point? » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 3:37 pm I friggin HATE WINTER!!!…Will it NEVER end! Woke up this morning to 6-8 inches of snow in the driveway… JUST last weekend we get rid of it all! Then throughout the afternoon…it just kept on snowing. So another 6 inches in the driveway! UGH » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 3:25 pm Oh Sally….you bring plenty to the table! The School of Hard knocks is the most difficult of them all! Some of the wisest people I’ve ever known…did not have a higher education. As a matter of fact, two of them, who I admired greatly, were both high school drop outs! But they were both people who valued learning and took lessons from life and those around them! I miss the good people at HP, but I don’t miss HP…this forum can bring a lot of opportunity to really express yourself. Please consider sharing your thoughts and outlook…I know it would appreciated by everyone! π » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 1:59 pm Good morning David…how do you figure it was taken out of context? Even in jest…it’s not funny. Not funny at all. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 8:40 am I agree with you. This type of rhetoric is dangerous…and the fact it was just laughed off by the audience and basically ignored by everyone else…is troubling. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 25, 2011 @ 8:39 am I still want to know what was meant by ‘one of us’ ! That can be interpreted a few different ways…none of which I think is good. But what do I know. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:54 pm Amen!….I hate seeing so many precious animals perishing due to man’s avarice. {sigh} » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:50 pm Exactly! Why don’t more people realize that?!?!?! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:43 pm EXACTLY…but yet we can’t call them what they are?” I’m confused! π » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:39 pm I’m still dumbfounded by how they have completely hijacked the teachings attributed to JC. It’s ludicrous. I’m seriously starting to doubt the sanity of most Americans who buy into all this crap. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:38 pm Ok….are these people on crack? And then people wonder WHY I prefer DOLPHINS! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:36 pm http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41761052/ns/us_news-environment/ NEW ORLEANS β Scientists are trying to figure out what killed 53 bottlenose dolphins β many of them babies β so far this year in the Gulf of Mexico, as five more of their carcasses washed up Thursday in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. π Dolphins are without a doubt my favorite mammal. I sometimes prefer them to humans. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:34 pm It seems rather odd, considering Scalia to be the voice of reason…have we really fallen that far? » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 7:17 pm She’s precious PW! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:51 pm Oh my goodness Cher, I too have encountered those same arguments with people on both the left and the right…regarding the Jews. There are so many who really believe that the Jews are in control of all the financial markets and are looking at world domination. It’s rather remarkable just how many REALLY believe it…and will argue that the Federal Reserve is all part of some Jewish plot. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:48 pm She’s too cute. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:27 pm Oh wow! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:13 pm Indeed…He certainly provides food for thought!!! π » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:13 pm I tend to agree. Scary huh? » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:11 pm I’m not to thrilled with the actions of the Bush administration and Iraq…I truly believe what we did to the Iraqi’s was evil. THAT’s the body count…and what about those maimed or who’s lives were ruined? I do believe the US actions in IRAQ were evil and worthy of something The Nazi’s would have done. The difference was…we used missiles and modern weapontry, that made it so, we didn’t have to get ‘eye to eye’ with most of those who were killed. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:09 pm Indeed dey….what has been done over the centuries in the name of God, is repugnant! » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:05 pm ON that we agree completely! It is great to be able to REALLY discuss events and ideas…and it all just stems from one comment! π » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:04 pm The Nazi’s believed that the Jews were controlling the wealth and thus THEY were the problem with society as a whole. The nuances of what they believed about Jews is at the heart of most antisemitism. In addition, the Nazi’s believed that Arians were truly the MASTER race and were better than everyone else. How much different is that than American’s running around saying “we are number one…and God bless America and nobody else” OR believing that America has some god given right to do what ever American wants? OR how much different is that than calling natives SAVAGES and mounting a centuries long campaign to eradicate them AND to destroy their way of life? I’m not suggesting that any of those beliefs or actions was right. However, I am saying what was believed and what is going on today. Arrogance begets ignorance…Ignorance begets arrogance. What was done to the natives is an apt analogy to what was done to the Jews. BOTH are equally repugnant. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 6:03 pm Exactly…In my mind IRAQ was utterly Evil and I’ve been disgusted ever since. How can we the US, evoke moral superiority after that fiasco? Disgusting. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 5:54 pm Adonai…I just read your comment to Jdmn about the natives…not to be a jerk, but you are very mistaken about what we really did to the Natives. WE literally killed out whole tribes…wiped them out forever. WE killed more Natives than the Nazi’s did Jewish people. The Nazis killed 12 million in the Holocaust…6 million Jews. In contrast, The American colonists, settlers and American Army, killed, anywhere between 10 MILLION and 14 million Natives. WE also rounded them up and put them in camps…we did this up until 1920. I just took a Native American History course last semester…I walked away literally ill…over what the US government did to the Natives. YOU want to talk evil and an atrocity….study Native American History. YOU will vomit. Much of what was done to them, makes what the Nazi’s did look tame…and it went on for centuries. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 5:53 pm Now I’m not so sure your take on the motives of the Nazi’s is correct. THEY were looking for world domination…POWER. AND how do you get supreme power? Think it through further A…it wasn’t just about doing with those they felt were their lessors…that was only PART of their motives. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 5:48 pm I agree dey. » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 5:46 pm Thank you Kilgore, for making my point…so much better than I! I knew a lady, I worked with her actually…she was my boss many years ago. She was girl in Germany during WWII, I asked her point blank…HOW they could allow such things to happen in their own backyard… Her answer was very telling…she said…they didn’t know and then she elaborated and said…”I guess in retrospect, we did know…but we didn’t WANT to know” “We were surviving and not paying attention to what was going on in our name.” » Posted By Abbyrose86 On February 24, 2011 @ 5:45 pmComments Posted By Abbyrose86
