As a matter of fact the town is quite RED, and very affluent. Anyway, one call I made was to a registrant who was not home…but I spoke with her 79 year old mother, who is NOT a Dem…as a matter of fact, she admitted quite openly that SHE is indeed a SOCIALIST…and added, that her political persuasion is NOT very popular in these parts. 🙂 This lady was so cute, she told me that she was just watching Chris Mathews and he had on Kathy Hochul, and she went on to tell me how impressed she was with her, as well as what SHE thought is wrong with the nation today and both parties in general. She was quite on top of everything and was pretty well in tune with the current state of political discourse. SHE does NOT watch FOX…she was very proud to state. She can’t see very well, so she can’t read the news or get info from reading, so she relies on TV. She was quite impressed with Rachel as well. My daughter and I went to see the play “Wicked” last night..and it was FABULOUS. They put a different spin on it, from the book…but it still had a political message. I couldn’t help but see the similarities between of the events of the last week and some of the themes in the book/play. “no one mourns the Wicked”
