OH Kalima…I can’t imagine what everyone is going through over there…my prayers and thoughts are with the people of Japan. What else can one even say?

I couldn’t sleep last night when I got into bed, and around 2 am or so, I put on the tv and saw the breaking news in Japan, I was dumbstruck…needless to say I STILL couldn’t sleep and my first thoughts went to our friends here. I am so happy to hear that Kalima and WTS are fine. PLEASE stay safe and be careful.

My goodness, my thoughts and prayers to all being impacted by this catastrophe.

I think it’s unsound that the populace actually BELIEVES that their representatives are not susceptible to human needs and wants. It’s ridiculous.

Which reminds me of a little philosophical/ethics quiz, which I had to take in an ethics class once; It really makes you think and IS used often in many philosophy, ethics and leadership courses….perhaps if people thought about REAL ISSUES MORE and less about than blindly judging others based on superficial HUMAN failings our world would be a better place:

Ok KT…who’s standards??? The standards of the plutocrats, perhaps? Or the standards of the Puritans? OR how about the standards of the Natives?

“Standards’ can be quite subjective.

Personally, I could care less about ANY politicians personal life…seriously.

Standards that I think SHOULD be used to base our decisions upon for elected officials, should be those that actually RELATE to their jobs.

Are they easily bought off by money? Are they involved in business dealings that could influence their decisions? DO they simply make up economic concepts because they know the populace as a whole has NO clue about macroeconomics? Do they make up shit about history to fit their preconceived agendas?

Standards KT….seriously…we don’t have REAL standards. WE have faux standards that we expect elected officials to abide by…the real stuff we let slide.

I agree WTS, completely. I think this whole concept of homogenized behavior is utterly out of balance with actual HUMAN behavior.

Now I tend to disagree with that sentiment. What is ‘acceptable’ behavior to one person is not necessarily acceptable to another. I find the fake perfection that is expected of elected officials disturbing…and as a result those who come off ‘too’ ‘to’ don’t get my vote.

I don’t like the faux way that most people behave in public…I think it is a joke. I find it offensive that there are so many who ‘pretend’ they are something they are not…I especially find fault in those like a certain former president, who although a child of extreme wealth and privilege managed to convince the masses he was an average Joe even though, he was a legacy child, from Connecticut who was a product of boarding schools.

I find it offensive that a scum bucket such as Cheney was able to rise to such heights because he ‘plays the game’ right…please.

Our society is so messed up and has priorities in such disorder it isn’t even funny. This whole Puritanical crap regarding people’s sex lives has got to go. On the same vain, I find ANY prying into personal lives disgusting and should taboo.

Sex scandals are a joke and show nothing about anyone’s intellect or ethics. SEX is SEX…it’s NATURAL…it’s like peeing or any other natural act. Again, the subject should be off limits. however, people without restraint are willing to rip off people, or who are willing to kill masses of people, or willing to let their greed get the best of them, SHOULD be under close scrutiny, as they exhibit anti social behavior…yet we elect those monsters and allow them to serve without reproach.

Look at all the crap Dubya, Cheney and Nixon, etal, did in their lives….so they didn’t get their dick’s off enough…so what…they did much more damage to a hell of a lot more people.

Agreed Adlib…But I prefer thinking of them, as they really are…parasites. they are not ‘job creators’, on the contrary they in truth do nothing more than delegate and don’t DO anything or offer anything productive or substantial to society. THOSE people (such as the kock brothers and their brethren) are TRULY the parasites of the world…and somehow have managed to convince others that they are worthy of being lauded and adored.

Bullhockey! I spit on such creatures. By definition those on the top of the economic pyramid, are TRULY parasites.
