They get a ton of money a year, despite receiving a lot of free travel, free meals, free entertainment, etc., and when their contracts are up they have to scramble to find a new job. However, I have known a lot of adolescents to whom the concept of spending within one’s means or saving for the future was not just a foreign concept, but also an immoral one. Having had to, at one point, work with the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, and Detroit Tigers as part of a charity, I can tell you most of those men are indeed adolescents.
