I was born, raised, and lived in the city of Vancouver into my mid-twenties, in the American state of Washington, with only a population of about 180,000; making it the fourth largest city in Washington (after Seattle, Spokane, and Tacoma), while Vancouver, British Columbia is the eighth largest city in Canada.

Let's say it straight out: Tom Cotton is a racist. He condones slave labor but assigns it no value. He would never have freed a single man, but he would use bigot law to punish anyone who even holds a different opinion.

The words cut in stone found at the column are propaganda elevating the cause that put them in uniform and kept the memory of their "service" to The Lost Cause noble in their minds and in the minds of their descendants.

Consolidating power in himself by stacking the courts as his puppets, discrediting belief in the truth by attacking the press as fake and rigging elections with voter suppression. Spreading propaganda and lies while facilitating Russian-aided disinformation on social media. Trying to shut down the postal service which means shutting down voting by mail. Lastly, raising a fascist, well armed militia to stand against his political enemies. The threat to our democracy couldn't be more urgent.
