Hey PPO!
AdLib2 hours ago
Hey, Ad! I was just in TO/OT wishing everyone a Happy new year! Have to change it ow!
pinkpantheroz
Heh! It’s still welcome in any case!
AdLib2 hours ago
How are things your way?
AdLib2 hours ago
NOt bad, thanks. Usual aches and pains for both of us. But we hope next year will see big changes in the nightmare that is AMerica just now
pinkpantheroz
Oue relatives in Buffalo are digging out as we speak!
pinkpantheroz
…. and in Pittsburgh and Boston!
pinkpantheroz
How’s your vision? And how’s Fergie?
AdLib2 hours ago
A b it of concern with Fergie. She has a new lump we’re going to have checked. My eye is still working OK, but I have to have injections every 4 weeks. Tuesday next is the next one. yeuch!
pinkpantheroz
Yes, apparently the big freeze on the East Coast is proof that there’s no Climate Change according to The Dumpster.
AdLib2 hours ago
Oh, yes! If it is so much hotter, how come there’s so much snow? Typical of an ignorant fool
pinkpantheroz
Damn! Really sorry to hear that!
AdLib2 hours ago
Hey glenn!
AdLib2 hours ago
Hopefully it’s benign. It is not the squamus cell back again, the Doc was sure of that,, So we pray.
pinkpantheroz
Good evening, gents. PPO, sorry to hear about your and Fergie’s health problems.
glenn
Hi Harleigh!
AdLib2 hours ago
Hi, glenn! Thank you. I’m sure we are all having problems
pinkpantheroz
Hi Harleigh!
glenn
Hi Harleigh! Chilly your way?
pinkpantheroz
Hope that’s the case, PPO.
AdLib2 hours ago
We keep our chins ( all of ’em!) up
pinkpantheroz
PPO–Don’t know how chilly it is Harleigh’s way, but it’s damn cold here!
glenn
Heh!
AdLib2 hours ago
hey folks
Harleigh
glenn – How cold is it there?
AdLib2 hours ago
Atlanta! Wow. and I see it is down to Fla.
pinkpantheroz
Ad–supposed to go down in the 20’s next week. Today, we made it all the way up to 52, but it’s down in the 30’s now.
glenn
Yeow!
AdLib2 hours ago
it’s gonna plunge down to the 60’s tonite… we’re all gonna die unless Dolt45 saves us.
Harleigh
And, we might have snow next week, too.
glenn
Harleigh–I thought Dolt45 already saved us by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accords. That made everything all right, didn’t it?
glenn
ANy chance of Mar A Lago being buried under 2 miles of snow?
pinkpantheroz
This is crazy! Record floods, fires and this may be record cold!
AdLib2 hours ago
But it’s not Climate Change and we need more carbon in the atmosphere via coal.
AdLib2 hours ago
PPO–Hard to tell if MAL would be buried under snow, as it’s already buried under at least 2 miles of bullshit.
glenn
maralogo we are trying to get rocketman to nuke it. LOL
Harleigh
Ad–what a great idea! That coal will save us!
glenn
for sure, glenn, and fools are paying top dollar to be covered in it!
pinkpantheroz
So with Mar a Lago, would that be like Hell freezing over?
AdLib2 hours ago
yep
Harleigh
Trump is doomed in 2018 one way or another, would you agree?
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–we already had snow here, about two weeks before Christmas. There was 7 inches of snow on my patio table, and a pine tree fell on my roof from the weight of the snow.
glenn
Ad–Good one! Hell freezing over!
glenn
Oh no, glenn, is your roof okay?
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad, I’m in 2 minds. He’s another Teflon Don. The GOP don’t have the guts, or maybe the smarts enough to do the right thing
pinkpantheroz
Ad–trump is not doomed. He has to win to keep the media in business, dontcha know?
glenn
there’s a lot of truth in that, glenn, more’s the pity.
pinkpantheroz
PPO – But don’t you think Dems will win the House in 2018 then they can impeach him?
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–yeah, the roof is fine. Luckily, because it was a pine tree, the branches kept the trunk off of the roof.
glenn
west Palm has lots of rwnj’s but now they hate trump. I love hope they are doing a pre-spin on upcoming WH turnover. LMFAO
Harleigh
PPO–I’m still trying to find that damn liberal media that the repubs keep talking about.
glenn
Ad, Dems may win, but I think they’ll concentrate on fixing trumps fuckups before turning on him. Well, maybe they can multitask! We’re no used to that any more
pinkpantheroz
glenn – A Dem won in AL. The popular vote isn’t controlled by the MSM. Dems are most likely to win in Nov.
AdLib2 hours ago
HArleigh, don’t forget the Puerto Rican influx. they better register pronto!
pinkpantheroz
PPO and Ad–I’m just not sure Dems will even begin impeachment proceedings.
glenn
Glad to hear that, glenn!
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–I hear what you’re saying about Dems winning; let’s hope they can keep it up.
glenn
glenn, agree. They’ll probably work around the sick bastard
pinkpantheroz
Harleigh, that’s great to hear. I would bet that we will see a Dem win of astounding proportions in Nov.
AdLib2 hours ago
PPO–Plus, I’d much rather trump be taken out on criminal charges rather than impeachment. Seems like Mueller’s investigation is heating up; but that may be more wishful thinking.
glenn
Ad–Do you see a Dem win nationwide, or just in Florida?
glenn
glenn – I think that by the time the Mueller indictments come next year and people have another year of Trump’s madness, the election may very be a mandate on impeachment.
AdLib2 hours ago
Statewide senate elections should mostly go Dem. with a YYUUGGEE dem turnout in Nov we could even take the gerrymandered house. Not much could be done at first with trump vetoing everything.
Harleigh
Ad–I hope you’re correct; I want to see trump brought down so badly!
glenn
glenn, many a slip betwixt cup and lip. GOTV will be the pivot on whether Dems clean up, or not get enough to flip Congress
pinkpantheroz
I was surprised that Jones won in bamma.
Harleigh
Harleigh–IF Dems take the House, or at least get more reps, perhaps they could override anything trump would veto.
glenn
glenn – I mentioned AL because it portends a national landslide for Dems even in red states and districts. Trump has already exhausted so many of support. He’s not going to get better, he’s only going to get worse as the noose tightens around his, Don Jr.’s and Kushner’s necks.
AdLib2 hours ago
so many of his supporters…
AdLib2 hours ago
Harleigh–yeah, me too, regarding AL. What a dickhead Moore is!
glenn
HArleigh, at least Sassy will get a rest from that paedopihilic buffoon!
pinkpantheroz
moore gives god a bad name…. bad name….
Harleigh
Harleigh – Moore gives Moores a bad name bad name. Disgusted an Irish Descendant is such a prick
pinkpantheroz
If Dems take the House, and odds now look like they will, that kills all Trump bills. If they tale the Senate, it kills all his judicial appointments and terrible cabinet choices. And enthusiasm is naturally on the opposing party’s side in an off year election, it will be supercharged this upcoming year. Then in 2020, the tsunami will crest over Trump as it did over the Repubs in 2008.
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–I read an article the other day where Katy Tur is worried that trump with all his nonsense about voter fraud, and now moore with the same nonsense. She’s worried that they’re setting up the repub base for Dems winning in Nov., but then all of the repubs blathering on about voter fraud. That’s not exactly how she said it, but that’s the gist of it.
glenn
Moore gives pedophiles a worse name.
AdLib2 hours ago
dolt’s admin is failing fast even with his old used general. They are again say a shakeup but the ones with any capabilities are bailing. State is a total fucking wasteland.
Harleigh
The proble, Harleigh is that there may not be enough quality workers to keep Gov’t going when the dust settles.
pinkpantheroz
Harleigh–agree completely. What I still can’t get over is the republican party just watching all of this happen. When is the last time we heard anything from any republican in Congress condemning, or at least disagreeing, with all of trump’s nonsense?
glenn
glenn – Maybe but it doesn’t matter, Repubs can whine about voter fraud but they will have lost power in many states and Congress. They should be called out as traitors to our democracy by Dems if they do. And giving aid and comfort to enemies of democracy like Putin.
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–Oh, I agree about the traitors. And McConnell and Ryan should be at the top of the list of the traitors!
glenn
2020 is also a census year to can lots of the gerrymandering for a decade.
Harleigh
Harleigh – Trump’s already lost 1/3 of his admin in 1 year and many major positions. The closest to that is like 16% by any other president. “I will only hire the best people…who will then see what a moron I am and quit.”
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad, yes, who would want to inherit any of Trumps goons?
pinkpantheroz
glenn – Absolutely, McConnell and Ryan are like Nazi officers that think they’re not to blame for atrocities because they were just being loyal to the party.
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–PPO brought up a good point. By the time trump is done, we won’t have any competent people in government, and government will function even less than it does now.
glenn
Ad–good analogy re mcconnell and ryan. However, I thought their job was to be loyal to our country, not their damn party! Of course, what do I know, I’m just a liberal snowflake!
glenn
Harleigh – Exactly, with Dems winning more power in states in 2018 and 2020, the gerrymandering that has protected the undemocratic GOP majority will be lessened, it should wall them out for at least 10 years from having such a tilted playing field.
AdLib2 hours ago
the best brains, almost as smart as me…. what a fool. He doesn’t have any clues as to how to assemble a quality admin. None of us could really do any of those jobs but folks like Perry and Devos are there to destroy those departments.
Harleigh
Ad–do you think Dems will be smart enough to redistrict fairly, or will we just have gerrymandering going the other way?
glenn
glenn – There will have to be a lot of repair to our government after Trump but we can limit the damage by putting Dems in power in at least one house next year. A lot of rebuilding is ahead but it can and will be done.
AdLib2 hours ago
yeah glenn and you’re all butthurt too right?? lol
Harleigh
Harleigh–yup!
glenn
glenn – That is what is so disgusting and traitorous about the Repubs, they violate their ooath to protect the Constitution and put country over party. All of them could be impeached for this.
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad, mass resignations coming, now that they have featherbedded their fortunes and immunized them. Sick
pinkpantheroz
glenn – Some Dems may choosoe to be just as anti-democratic as Repubs have been but if they’re smart, they’ll take the opportunity while in power to do what we did in CA, pass a law that requires a bi-partisan board to always do the redistricting and protect that law by requiring a 2/3 majority to change it. If the playing field is permanently fair, Repubs will lose.
AdLib2 hours ago
Ad–Personally, I’d rather the Dems take the Senate next year, rather than the House. Of course, it would be nice if they took both, but at least in the Senate, they can slow down trump’s judicial appointments. That is an area where the MSM, IMO, has really dropped the ball. The Senate is appointing a lot of completely unqualified federal judges, who are appointed for life!
glenn
glenn, that’s bad, very bad and insidious. MSM IS lax in chasing that up
pinkpantheroz
If I had been part of the trumpers and amassed millions I would be getting set up in a non extradition country if possible but those are not very fucking safe places.
Harleigh
Ad–That is what is driving me crazy about the repubs; they are enabling trump at every turn.
glenn
PPO – And wait until Ryan starts pushing cuts to Social Security, Medicare and welfare because…you know…the deficit is terrible…now that it’s $1.5 trillion bigger because of the tax fraud cut. Seniors will be vooting Repubs oout of every state in the country!
AdLiban hour ago
Ad–Let’s hope Dems will follow the CA model for redistricting.
glenn
GOP the real Death Panels. Kick them out, then Lock Them Up!
pinkpantheroz
PPO–Oh yeah, can’t wait until the Social Security and Medicare “entitlements” are cut. Ryan and the rest of the repubs are trying to convince trump that those two programs are “welfare”, so he’ll sign their damn bills!
glenn
glenn – The upside of Dems taking The House is that it’s easier, they can begin REAL investigations and a 9/11 type panel to investigate Russia and Trump and they can impeach. You’re right abut the improtance of the Senate t block judges including for the SCOTUS, it’s possible but just harder to do because Dems have so many more seats up this year. But they could do it!
AdLiban hour ago
BRB fergie needs a covfefe!
pinkpantheroz
Harleigh, I think a lot of Trumpers like Don Jr. and Kushner think Daddy Trump will pardon them but NY AG Schneiderman has been working with Mueller and will nail them on state charges which Daddy can’t stop.
AdLiban hour ago
PPO – Make her a double covfefe!
AdLiban hour ago
glenn – Repubs are kamikazes, they knw Dems are going to crush them next Nov so they are just grabbing all the silverware and jewelry on their way out. They are sick and criminal.
AdLiban hour ago
Ad–I think it’s a win for the country if the Dems take either chamber.
glenn
PPO – No kidding! 13 million people will now lose health insurance and everyone will pay 10% more…if they can afford it. And Susan Collins betrayed all thsoe people she claimed to care about! She needs to be taken out! I am sick of trying to trust any Repub!
AdLiban hour ago
I’ll have a bigly covfefe please. I’ll go out on a limb and say since the cuts are nationwide programs they mostly harm poor white trash and they will turn on the repubes. No more Medicaid, SNAP, CHIP, LIHEAP. They are fucked.
Harleigh
Ad–well put. ryan wants to go down in history as the repub who finally got rid of Social Security! And, he’s already talking about retiring, so he’s going to go out with a “win” in his mind. Then, when the Dems have to come and fix his messes, he can still say he was the one who presided over the House gutting Social Security.
glenn
glenn – I don’t know, I think cutting SS and Medicare are a bridge to far even for the immoral Repubs, much of their base are seniors and they already see the tsunami coming next year. McConnell has already said he won’t bring such bills up in the Senate, he wants to stay in power.
AdLiban hour ago
Harleigh–Not so sure about the poor white trash turning on repubs. They (the repubs) have been harming poor white trash for 30 years or more now, and they keep voting for them!
glenn
glenn – So true, the natioon will be breathing a little easier with Dems being in power in one or both houses! The majority always prefers Congress to be a check on the WH, now more than ever!
AdLiban hour ago
Ad–Oh, I didn’t see that about McConnell saying he won’t bring up Social Security and Medicare bills up in the Senate. I did see where he says he won’t bring up Obamacare repeal any more.
glenn
This time no more food, or medical or utilities…. sick, freezing hungry people will turn.
Harleigh
Ad–Yes, remember when Clinton had mostly a repub Congress, and gwb had a mostly Dem one? I kept reading about that’s how the American public liked it, with Congress being a check on the president. The 2016 election was such a fluke, in more ways than one.
glenn
It will take a YYUUGGEE GOTV across the country.
Harleigh
Harleigh–not that I want to see sick, freezing, hungry people, but I hope you’re correct.
glenn
Harleigh – Yep, those racists and morns supporting Trump will be crushed the hardest but their dim minds won’t connect the two. This is why to them only, Trump is Teflon. He represents their rage, white superiority, male superiority and he always will. They are the lemmings that will ignorantly follow their leader off a cliff. I now see Trump’s core voters as the enemies of the majority, they shouldn’t be pursued to vote against him, they should be electorally flattened without hesitation by the majority like a steam roller.
AdLiban hour ago
They can’t remember the reasons for those programs and when the ER turns them away to go back to their hovel with no power they may learn, some of them anyway.
Harleigh
Ad–to add to Congress being a check on the president…this Congress and presidency certainly is a prime example of why a split of parties between Congress and the presidency is a good thing.
glenn
Ad–Yeah, I’m so tired of hearing about how we should “persuade” trump voters to see the error of their ways. They are never going to see it, so being “electorally flattened” is the only way to deal with them.
glenn
glenn – However, Ryan is the most unpopular Repub in office including Trump! His claIm of responsibility for this tax fraud will soon make him one of the most despised figures in American history. And his pursuit of cutting up the social safety net will fail in an electiion year and demonize him even more. He is an evil little beast.
AdLiban hour ago
glenn – Yep, McConnell sees this coming next Nov, he’s terrified f making it bigger:
AdLiban hour ago
Ad–I am beginning to believe that ryan is as delusional as trump. He seems to think that what he is proposing is good for the country. He’s a slimy little hypocrite who went to college on his father’s Social Security benefits, but wants to deny them to everyone else.
glenn
Work is needed, a lot of work. Publicity needs to be kept high all year.
pinkpantheroz
Hope we don’ have to do a civil war. I’m too old for that although shooting baggers would be patriotic.
Harleigh
Harleigh – Yep, unfortunately, many people need to suffer greatly before they will begin to use their brain and stop voting against their own interests.
AdLiban hour ago
There wouldn’t be a civil war. The militias would crumble against real firepower.
pinkpantheroz
true
Harleigh
Harleigh–I think we have to do our civil war at the ballot box; ballots, not bullets. Although I wouldn’t mind slapping a few trump supporters; I don’t want to shoot anybody. As we have all said tonight, the GOTV is going to be the most important thing we can do.
glenn
handguns don’t do well against tanks and choppers with high tech intel
Harleigh
Right on, glenn’
pinkpantheroz
PPO–yeah, they’re all cowards. Remember that “poor” little white supremicist who was crying on camera because he was going to be arrested?
glenn
Harleigh – I think the poor people who support Trump are just so obsessed with his representing their racism and hatred. When they begin to really suffer, their ignorant and brainwashed enugh to find a way to blame Obama or Hillary for it. But they will know the truth deep down and while they’ll never admit it, they will not come out to vote Repub, their enthusiasm will be gone.
AdLiban hour ago
Ad–I think that will be the way the problem is solved. The trump supporters will just not come out to vote, and if we get enough Dems out, then we can crush them electorally.
glenn
Ad, perhaps they might try one last gasp at voting GOP, like the Insane ones who keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result
pinkpantheroz
when these people realize that the ER is not a doctor office a 2k a pop and their snap card has zero and the utilities have been shut off and their kids are dying along with a spouse the may think about it. muhahaha
Harleigh
glenn – Yes, I think this is a case of accepting that those who have screwed-up thought processes can’t be influenced by sensible thoughts. Those still supporting Trump are delusional and in a mental bubble, they are lost and should be treated as the adversaries of our democracy that they are.
AdLiban hour ago
Well, gents, I’m certainly glad I finally got to join VOX tonight, after a few weeks away, but it’s time for me to call it a night. Good night all. Hope you all have a wonderful New Year’s Eve celebration, whatever it may be. See you all next year!
glenn
