In the end, yes. I have never seen a SCOTUS take on so many decisions they didn’t have to but too many more decisions for Trump and they will have undermined all of their own standing and power. I can feel it out there now, anger and resentment against Trump and this tyranny are bubbling and knowing how the economy is continuing to tank, it’s going to turn up to a boil. Even Repubs, farmers, rural folks, are at least upset at him if not turning on him.

The Kimmel “beheading” is having massive reverberations around the country. Now the tyranny is feeling real to many more people. Tons of cancellations of Hulu/Disney +, so much so that their cancellation page crashed. I canceled my subscription to them.

SaY A BIT MORE ABOUT THE COURT….how do you see the court moving…..I have been reading that every justice has decided in favor of a very strong defense of the first amendment in at least one case….all nine…..the point being that there are key areas where even the right wingers will not be able to keep from supporting the constitution. Yes?

Yes, it was a 9-0 decision last time against any infringement on the 1st Amendment but I think that was when Biden was in the WH. Even so, kind of hard not to look like political hacks and frauds if they change their position to allow Trump and his FCC to violate that freedom so blatantly.

Yes, we were planning to go to Disneyland this Fall, we haven’t gone for many years and that is off the table now. Just read an article that the CEO of Disney was set to have a fundraiser with his wife at their home for…free speech in journalism! Looks like it’s canceled now, who wants to associate with a fascist supporting CEO on a free speech fundraiser?

You know me, I am an optimistic person but for the past 9 months, I have only felt my heart sinking lower and lower. But now, after the latest flurry of tyrannical madness, I’m seeing the public wake up more and resent Trump on literally every issue. The people are turning on him with every new insanity he executes. I would propose that from this point onward, every dictitorial move he makes boomerangs back on him and the GOP and as the economy really hammers more people, the anger toward Trump will be incredible and unsustainable.

One big development here is that doctors and clinics are making it clear that they are very worried about many of their patients losing coverage….some have been called out for doing this as endless panic but then they produce the facts that point to thel likelihood of it happening.

Murph – The thing is, Trump is not going to come to the rescue of Red States, farmers, rural hospitals, etc. in any major way because the money he stole from them went into his and his cronies pockets. And if the tariffs are ended by the courts, his whole justification for the cuts to provide tax credits without increasing the deficit, is dead. Though those were all lies anyway, the deficits are spiking now anyway.

So I am thinking there is a relationship between how he is failing worse and worse on every issue and how he is hastening his dictatorship to cement it in. As he becomes more despised by the majority, and the AP poll today said he only has 39% approval, he will move harder and faster to silence opposition and criticism while robbing as many as he can of freedoms. And increasing the police state and military occupation of the US. I do not see how he prevails in the end.

If you recall, this is something I had hoped would happen and it is. Blue State leaders are banding together to cancel the RFK Jr. takeover of the CDC, got the ruling against using the NG against the public, the tariff decision went against Trump, courts are preventing him from firing the Fed Board woman, it is not the case that Trump is getting what he wants without defeats. My proposition is that when the economy catches up with the destruction of it and people are feeling it more acutely, the mobs with torches and pitchforks will be coming for him and the GOP.

I think that if they give Congress’ power over the budget and tariffs to Trump and declare that he can end free speech and persecute his enemies in violation of The Constitution, the protests against them will become huge and states like CA will declare they no longer have the moral authority to declare anything or be obeyed. The SCOTUS only has power if state and local governments obey them. I see civil disobedience against the SCOTUS on the taqble and it will destroy their power.

Murph – Some of the things that I think will be hammering Red States and not Blue States include the slashing of government money they depend on and safety nets they desperately need, outbreaks and epidemics of disease especially among children and the elderly, starvation and homelessness, hospitals closing and doctors fleeing at faster rates, the cost of groceries and energy skyrocketing, it’s all coming. Blue states as you know give more than they get from the Feds and I can see them coming together to refuse to send tax money to the Feds so they can pay for the needs they have because of all the money withheld from them. And what about natural disasters with FEMA robbed and carved down? So much will collapse in especially on the poor and rural, the very ignorant people who wanted this monster in to hurt the rest of us.

Exactly, the destruction of safety nets will hit Red States worse, they don’t have enough of their own money to step in. Suffering will be more intense in Red States though many in Blue States will suffer too. And with shredded safety nets, it’s unthinkable how bad it may actually get.

I think the 3 good SCOTUS justices have already communicated in their dissents that the corrupt majority is acting in a way that damages the court and the rule of law, I can’t imagine they would be surprised to see Blue States and cities refusing to abide by SCOTUS rulings after their lawlessness has crossed the line.

As terrible aas I think things will become by next year, as health insurance is jacked up over 15% in some cases and on the AC, thousands a month, it will unite the country against Trump who will be seen as the villain he is and even with whatever ways he tries to rig the election, I think the mass amount of people angry at him could still provide a Blue Tsunami against him and the GOP no matter wht he tries to do to corrupt the election.
