There is a clinic in my area where the doctors have. been advising patients to let their representatives know that the care they get there with benefit program from the national government and the state of Mo are essential to their life….apparently the word got out to the powers that be and…..the clinic is closed.

Murph – Unemployment keeps rising, inflation keeps rising, if Trump’s budget passes, the economy will tank and the US’s financial standing will crumble. I see zero opportunities for the economy and American society to be in a better place by next year or 2028. This is a Smash and Grab presidency, the game is to steal everything including the kitchen sink from Americans, there are no positive impacts on the American People in the pipeline and that’s intentional. Murph – My assumptions incorporate the lessons of the 2024 election. As TW nailed it, people are stupid. I do not count on them to be following ANY news about how Trump is destroying this country. I think this stupid segment of the population only respond to their own negative or positive experiences, they don’t care about their neighbors or the country. So if egg prices were enough to push them to Trump, it seems just as likely that a recession, rising inflation and unemployment and losing their homes and farms will be more than enough for them to vote again with their dumb feelings but against Trump then.

Murph – Why I think we can hold off Trump’s ongoing attempts to destroy democracy, he announced he is looking at stopping most major federal funding in CA and Newsome responded by saying CA may then withhold sending tax money to the Treasury. Murph – Having lowered my opinion of the intelligence of a big swath of the country’s population, I don’t know that the non-MAGAs that elected Trump will learn about how the country is being brought to its knees but they will know when they’re laid off, can’t afford groceries, and are being evicted from their homes for non-payment. At that point, they will turn against the people in power which is Trump and Repubs. So as I always say, this is a waiting game, for what we know is coming to hammer the fools into suffering. Then they’ll flip as always, just opposing whoever is in power and wanting to replace them with the other party. Dumb Politics, it’s kind of always been the American Way.

TW – Yes and Trump has had far more cooperation from the institutions in the US we count on to protect the people, MSM, law firms, universities, etc. But…the pushback is growing, the negatives and falling polls are spooking Repubs about re-election, and the number of groups being outraged and turning against Trump are growing. TW – Yes, these are scary times but Garcia was just brought back to the US from El Salvador. The courts are still exercising their checks and balances on Trump’s power and much as he’d like to, he can’t sustain rejecting their rulings. There are limitations to Trump’s power and if courts do as they likely will and take away his tariffs, Trump will look so much weaker.

Murph – Right now, I am seeing growing incidents of communities coming out and disrupting ICE raids, chasing them away, chanting at them to go away, and it’s working. One thing to remember, whether its ICe or the military, these are people who have families and friends and the idea of attacking and harming the people in their community or communities similar to them, will be a powerful defense for the people as they protest.

Murph – I agree that many of The Stupid or The Vulnerable will not come out and protest but they will come out for elections. There are many who will join protests but I don’t think massive protests are necessary as long as people are upset with their lives under Trump, 2026 and 2028 elections will be where the biggest protests take place against Trump.
