There is rural hospital in my area…..it closed years ago but was rescued by the Mercy Hospital System with the help of state funding cobbled together to creat the means to mend the operation and to get it moving. It has become quite the success…..but now there are efforts under way to remove state support if Mercy does not come on board in opposition to programs that care for “illegals” . The Mercy Board has said that such an action would be a betrayal of its mission. War. All of of this in the last week.

oh, Murph – that would be boffo!!! Need a porta potty. I can do this because I’m one block from the park bathroom. But do get SOMETHING. Then campsites. At one point w the garage and gazebo we had 6 people. And we have a wee backyard. I really think that would help. Everyone has electricity now – we expanded the breaker box – for heat and cooling and, yes, entertainment. They live like human beings w pets, significant others (one of whom need to be more discreet at 2 am when she comes around – OMG). AND on top of all that, we now have a garden w basics going in early march.

I was staying with one of my aunts I was about 7 and she asked me if I wanted some lunch I said I would like a sandwhich she asked If I want a P&J I told her I was grown and P&J was for children I wanted a Ham & Chesse she stood there with cigirate hanging out and said, ‘oh so you’re grown now?’ I replied yes, she said okay I will make you a grow up sandwhich. She called me when it was done, and I went to the table and it was a P&J, she said when you get older you can make your own damn Ham & Cheese but here in my House for you it’s P&J. So, I sat at the table and ate my P&J while she walked away laughing.

Can I just say, look at the positivity and confidence here as opposed to 4 weeks ago. Amazing. And I think we may see this as the end result of the unifying that an anti-Trump/Musk coalition of Americans from both parties could bring about. This is what I’ve been talking about when I mention “blowback”. I have to say – this is not onerous. They are good “tenants” and help us around the house. Asking some work is NOT a bad thing. It has been said that people respect what they earn, and I think it’s true. It’s a matter of SELF respect as contributors. They do chores for us (I do pay them) and it all helps us, too.
