Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PDT. Hope to see you then! AdLib 6 hours ago
Hey PPO! AdLib 4 hours ago
Hi Murph! AdLib 4 hours ago
Lets see… Pandemic lockdown – tick, earthquake.. tick, rwnj protests tick. Not a bad week! Hi Ad.! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
HI MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago
Hi Murph! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
Hey PPO. I heard the quake wasn’t too bad for you and Fergie, aside from the scary part. AdLib 4 hours ago
House shook and swayed for 10 seconds, no dmamge visible, except for skewed paintings. pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
I know quakes well as does Kalima. That was a big quake but thankfully not bigger than it was. AdLib 4 hours ago
Hey CL! AdLib 4 hours ago
Hi all – good to see you! choicelady 4 hours ago
Hey Ad, Murph, PPO! choicelady 4 hours ago
Fergie, ex San francisco, woke up, said Oh, an earthquake, and went back to sleep! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
BRB – doorbell choicelady 4 hours ago
Hi CL! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
We have small quakes in CA all the time, most of which I never know about. But a 5.9, that’s a big quake. AdLib 4 hours ago
PPO – as you know, I am DEEPLY relieved you had no damage. Fergie is my kind of woman! choicelady 4 hours ago
So are we celebrating tonight? Biden won AZ for the 5th time! AdLib 4 hours ago
Ad, initially reported as a 6.0, but revised down. It was also 100 miles away and 6 miles deep pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago
LOL – Ad, they STILL are spouting “voter fraud” all over the place! choicelady 4 hours ago
PPO – That’s all good news! AdLib 4 hours ago
PPO – take the 6.0. It has survivor cachet. choicelady 4 hours ago
CL,
pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad, Joe is happy. TFG must be losing it bibgly! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
CL – Because the only way that the Cyber Ninjas could try to save face was accompanying the truth with accusations of cheating. See, Biden won but there were lots of fraudulent ballots, just believe us. And their moron followers do just that. AdLib 3 hours ago
I loved that TFG got 200= less than credited, and Joe got 55 more! Karma, neh? pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
PPO – I heard that TFG wrote multiple comments today on his BS blog but deleted the one from yesterday claiming Biden was trying to deflect attention from the AZ recount. Whoops! AdLib 3 hours ago
Hey Murph! Everything okay with getting on Vox? AdLib 3 hours ago
Will the Ninjas reimburse the state? Yeah right! More money into TFG’s coffers. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
True story – in the 1994 Northridge quake, my hubs was in the circular Holiday Inn off the 405 freeway. He DID briefly wake up during it, but like Fergie, went back to sleep. He was sore amazed, however, when he got ready for a meeting, that there was no water. So he got dressed and found no electricity either and walked down to the lobby. He strolled out of the stairwell and said to the VERY upset staff, “So. What’s going on?” They looked at him in astonishment. He has no memory (he has ADD) of where he went or how he got home. The meeting was, obviously, called off. I do think he will sleep through the end of times. I really do. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad – I had the devil’s own time getting logged in. It continues to deny a valid password, so I keep putting it in until it gives up. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad, i didn’t know he has any kind of blog. Don’t really want to, either. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Everyone hang on for a second, I’m going to try restarting the chat function. Wait until I’m back to post… AdLib 3 hours ago
PPO – I heard TFG has someone front for him on a blog. I first spelled that glob, and i think I’ll keep that. He has a glob not a blog. choicelady 3 hours ago
standing by for Ad. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
choicelady 3 hours ago
Okay, I hope that fixed it. AdLib 3 hours ago
Hope so! choicelady 3 hours ago
This is annoying, sorry everyone! AdLib 3 hours ago
Murph is off air pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
TW!!! You made it! AdLib 3 hours ago
Hi. TW! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Hi TW!!! choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph – Can you comment now? AdLib 3 hours ago
murph, welcome back. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Murph? Is it really you? choicelady 3 hours ago
Goodevening everyone! twilson117 3 hours ago
Hey! Thanks for being persistent TW! AdLib 3 hours ago
A little software burp. AdLib 3 hours ago
I hope Murph can get in. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph, try closing then reopening your browser. AdLib 3 hours ago
I a little snag getting logged in but cleared my cash and that seem to do the trick twilson117 3 hours ago
Thanks for the info, TW. Murph may need to do the same thing. AdLib 3 hours ago
CL, I also like TFG’s whingeing as a glob, rather than blog.! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
It’s getting way past time for Trump to be criminally charged. AdLib 3 hours ago
See how useful that is? Glob. He has a glob for whining. choicelady 3 hours ago
And his crime family. AdLib 3 hours ago
Ad, I’m worried that the Dems are beginning to unravel and lose cohesion, hust when it is most needed. Someone needs to be arrested. Stat! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad – Nope, it’s just on time. They are building the case as a RICO style, turning the consiglieri first, getting them to rat out the Godfather. Trump is the master of weasel words. The evidence has to be airtight. We get ONE shot at this. One. It has to be perfect. choicelady 3 hours ago
I saw video of another anti-masker mob at a school board meeting in IA. Does anyone belive that it’s just a grass roots thing and not an organized operation? AdLib 3 hours ago
Murph – Try clearing your browser cache then closing and reopening your browser. Worked for TW. AdLib 3 hours ago
I was a subject matter expert on a federal case. It took us two years. It took Watergate two years. But we got them in the end. Congress has just made a MAJOR step forward w Pelosi saying, legally and legitimately, there is no need for a debt ceiling vote. The 14th A. assures all debts will be paid. She just gutted McConnell. choicelady 3 hours ago
All, I have a question that’s been bothering for awhile. With everything I read, especially the articles on the audit that’s bust, I keep coming back to this, what is about democracy that people don’t like that they are willing to move toward autocracy? twilson117 3 hours ago
Ad, oh it is organised. A GOP run and distributed defiance of science and logic so as to attract the Sanctimonetaries, Evilgelicals and the raving Looney McChristians out there. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
TW – they want not to have to do anything. They want a Godfather, a Daddy. They want one of their own who will give them all they want, no obligation to work for it or fight for it. choicelady 3 hours ago
PPO – It was very bad decision making by Schumer, as usual, to let The Senate go on vacation when we had more momentum to pass the budget and voting rights bills. Now, momentum has cooled and the corporate owners of Manchin and Sinema had weeks to pressure them into sabotaging everything. AdLib 3 hours ago
In case anyone wants to know where the REAL Christians stand on women’s reproductive rights, here are the denominations that uphold abortion rights. choicelady 3 hours ago
https://www.politicalresearch.org/2020/09/28/annotated-directory-prochoice-religious-community-united-states choicelady 3 hours ago
CL agree with not wanting to do anything, but do you think it’s because democracy is hard? twilson117 3 hours ago
PRRI has shown the religious right has LOST a huge amount of its membership and following. Down from 23% of the population to 13%. Mainline Protestants and their historic Black church allies outnumber them. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – You know that I badly want this to be happening as you’re saying. But the problem is that taking the very cautious and slow approach to all of this will sabotage it too. If Trump announces he’s running for president, how comfortabe will Garland be in indicting him? AdLib 3 hours ago
TW – democracy is an every day activity in a divided nation. People are lazy and want Daddy to tell them what to do, give them what they want. choicelady 3 hours ago
MURPH – Try restarting your computer after clearing your browser cache. Sorry it’s such a hassle tonight! AdLib 3 hours ago
Ad – we get ONE chance. You cannot rush this case against Trump. If he is not convicted because it was rushed, we are doomed. choicelady 3 hours ago
I think GA and NY will deal Trump a major blow VERY soon. Some of it is criminal, too. Gives Garland and DOJ some wiggle room. choicelady 3 hours ago
Our challenge as Dems is to keep the focus on Congress and the obstruction by the GOP. We need MORE Dems so we can get stuff done better. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL I get democracy is hard. It means you have to think and you have to reason and you have to question. But when I read and ask people they mumble and sutter around what it means to them, but claim they want it. So how do they justify this call for an autocaric leader? twilson117 3 hours ago
CL – Yes, I am so pleased at Pelosi stating that the 14th Amendment says all debts must be respected as valid, perfect! But the timeframe to stop Trump and indict him is getting very short. Garland is big on appearing fair, I can’t imagine him indicting Trump during a campaign once he’s announced he’s running for president. We have little time left. AdLib 3 hours ago
Hey Murph twilson117 3 hours ago
TW – I think people need to be taught HOW to advocate. That’s been my job for 20 years. I had great success at it. Now for the young’uns. I have little pull there. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad – Garland is not the least concerned with appearances. He’s concerned with building an airtight case. Where do you get the idea he’s weak? choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – Just my POV but I think that what Trumpers don’t like about democracy is that it favors Democrats. That simple. This seems to be all about dismantling democracy to grab power so the nutball minority can enforce its will and hatred on the majority. AdLib 3 hours ago
DOJ has been feeding the House committee all the docs upon which they are now issuing subpoenas to MAJOR players in the sedition case. choicelady 3 hours ago
Cl so would it be fair to say we’ve taken it for granted and foolishly believe it will just stay in place with any work? twilson117 3 hours ago
Ad – I agree that’s the GOP aversion to democracy. But on the “left”, it’s laziness. choicelady 3 hours ago
I am here just reading along. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
TW – we went through this in the 30s. An attempted coup, and attempted assassination of FDR. Then a REAL assassination of JFK and RFK. Democracy is NOT wanted by the Right. choicelady 3 hours ago
MURPH!!! choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad but if that’s the case then how do they expalin what we have as a form of governing benefits all regardless of political party? twilson117 3 hours ago
PPO – So true! All the GOP has now are stunts and sabotaging democracy. What issues do they have anymore? Pro-life for the unborn and pro-death once they start school? They’ve got nothing but culture wars and autocracy now. AdLib 3 hours ago
Murph! You’re alive! The zombies didn’t eat your keyboard! AdLib 3 hours ago
TW – if you haven’t, read Nancy MacLean’s “Democracy in Chains” to see the grand scheme. Ad – it involves the Kochs. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad – at the heart of the RW opposition to democracy lies racism. They cannot tolerate sharing America with POC. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – Even the GOP women aren’t supporting this extremist anti-abortion BS. The pols like Abbott and DeathSantis are in their bubbles and trying to please the nutjob minority but continuing to push away supporters. AdLib 3 hours ago
yes. I am here but worn out so I think I will just go along for the ride. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
If you’re interested, I’m with a smallish group of people of faith starting an effort to get the prochoice IS prolife view heard regularly. again, here’s the link to our denominations. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL, I think it is simply the panicked manipulations of those who once were the dominant force in the USA who suddenly find themselves in the minority, and are using all the money and tricks they can to hold on to power, irrespective of the damage it does to the Reputation of America in the world. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
CL I will check out the book twilson117 3 hours ago
https://www.politicalresearch.org/2020/09/28/annotated-directory-prochoice-religious-community-united-states choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – Agree 100%! People need to be taught both civics and how to advocate for policies. No wonder Repubs love cutting taxes to defund those types of subjects. AdLib 3 hours ago
PPO – there is no one in America whiter than I am. Did my DNA and Ancestry – I have Mayflower ties, whiter than white. And I welcome POC as a major contribution to our society. I honestly DO NOT GET the opposition. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – I did not say he was weak, I said he cares a lot about the appearance of being unfair. If Trump announces his candidacy for president next year, do you think Garland would want to look like he’s trying to perform a political prosecution? AdLib 3 hours ago
I was raised to be anti racist, but my lineage indicates either we WERE very racist or just didn’t get out much. I am 99.9% European. And my best work has been advocating with and for immigrants, Black communities, against hate crimes, for full civil rights. choicelady 3 hours ago
All then who do we get civics taught when people seem to believe civics is some sort of disease? twilson117 3 hours ago
Ad – I never see Garland doing anything at all – he’s very circumspect – and he zapped Trump on the plea of “ex. privilege” by taking his existing case and KILLING it. Now E. Jean Carroll can sue his pants off. Garland never shows his cards. EVER. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – LOL – yes, they think civics is a disease. But that shows we HAVE to work locally on school boards. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – I think the trap we can fall into is thinking Repubs care about being hypocrites or prejudiced. Look at Trump, McConnell, McCarthy and on and on. They don’t care that they are lying and being hypocritical, it’s all about one thing, grabbing power and denying it to Dems. It’s all a vicious game to them, they don’t see holding office as public service, it’s only about enriching themselves. And their followers are just as warped and unprincipled. AdLib 3 hours ago
Understand, CL. I’m not referring to the ethnicity of the GOP, rather that the Conservative base is steadily shrinking as younger generations seem to be tending Democratic. also, social media has been a game changer as the Newspaper and Media ?Barons have less and less propaganda power. I may be talking rubbish, but that’s how I’m seeing it. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad – spot ON. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL so democracy is something people want, but because they don’t really know what it is they are leaning toward authortarisim and their lack of civics training is the cause. twilson117 3 hours ago
Well said, Ad. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
PPO – I agree those changes are helping and are seen as threatening to the GOP. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – It does involve the Kochs and other plutocrats and sad to say, they are winning. And when it comes to the reconciliation bill, their buying off Manchin and Sinema could undermine that and the rest of Biden’s presidency. AdLib 3 hours ago
TW – I agree completely. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad – they aren’t winning. YET. We can and will push them back, and that’s the line of march we cannot abandon. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – Completely agree with you! Racism is much of the energy behind the GOP and their quest for an autocracy but so is their oppression of women’s rights and helping the poor. So all in all, it’s about domination and reaping the rewards from holding the nations purse strings as autocrats. They see how much Putin has stolen from his country and envy him, in that and other ways. AdLib 3 hours ago
Ad – I see NO evidence anyone is buying off Manchin and Sinema. As Nancy just trashed the need for voting on the debt ceiling, they will find ways around the filibuster and the two posturing Dems. Remember Manchin and Sinema have voted w Biden 100%. It’s the SQUAD that has failed to do so 42 times. Keep your eyes on the REAL chaos agents. choicelady 3 hours ago
Ad I get that. Trump** is con artist and is just in it for the money. McConnell is power hungry and doesn’t want to let go, and McCarthy well he needs to be dropped in the Lya Brea Tar Pits twilson117 3 hours ago
TW – I know McCarthy from the state legislature. He is THE most venal and obnoxious of the pack even if McC has more actual power. The good news is that he is really stupid. And that’s a benefit to us. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – the La Brea Tar Pits are too good for McCarthy. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – Sinema tool $750,000 from Pharma and has now killed prescription drug negotiating in the reconciliation bill. Manchin owns over $1 million in shares in one of the worst polluting coal companies in WV and meets with Exxon weekly. This is the man who should be in control of our energy policy? They are both corrupt. AdLib 3 hours ago
Murph what is going on with those school kids who wrote a petition saying slavery should be reinsated? twilson117 3 hours ago
CL, delicious that Speaker Pelosi cut McConnell off at the knees. More of that, please. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad – that isn’t even true. Corporations CANNOT donate – those were employees. And she’s posturing. I’ll lay odds she votes well when it comes down. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW…WHAT SCHOOL KIDS……? MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
PPO vanished! choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – To be fair, The Squad has voted with Biden 100% as well (except maybe in funding Israel). AdLib 3 hours ago
TW I wouldn’t want to pollute the Tar Pits with that scum. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad – absolutely not true. They voted 42 times AGAINST Biden. Fact. choicelady 3 hours ago
And it by no means is all Israel. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph read the other day some school kids were sending around a petition for reinstating slavery twilson117 3 hours ago
TW – was that in MO? Horrible! Tell ’em people such as I will take up the issue of slavery if they’ll be the slaves. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – All of the GOP leadership should be behind bars for their crimes and betrayal of The Constitution.. AdLib 3 hours ago
Did anyone get a good laugh out of our Hillsong-loving Prime Minister announcing an order for Nuclear-driven submarines, kicking France in the nuts BY TEXT cancelling the 90Bn order with them and saying, oh by the way delivery in 2040???? pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ad – we know it. Garland has been AG for just six months and has done a LOT of good things as he builds these cases. He’s cooperating with the House committee on the cell phone tracking etc. from 1/6. That’s got the 100-plus traitors’ knickers in the proverbial twist. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW – I saw that too. The MO school kids who signed a petition to bring back slavery. I’m sure the GOP machine in the state is looking at them as great potential future candidates. AdLib 3 hours ago
Murph article says it was Park Hill South High School twilson117 3 hours ago
PPO – your PM confuses me. He seems – unhinged. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW…FIRST I heard of it…. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
CL – Corporations can indeed donate but through PACs that spend money on behalf of the candidate. AND…as we know about De Joy, company bosses often push their employees to donate to specific candidates of their choosing and reimburse them. De Joy is such a crook. AdLib 3 hours ago
Someone needs to remind the kiddies that slaves undermined wage earners including skilled crafts people and could well undermine THEM. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL he confuses us, bigly! He’s wonderful at major announcements , useless at delivering! He promised billions of aid for bushfire relief from last year. No a cent in sight! A total Turkey. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Murph: “LIBERTY, Mo. — Officials in a suburban Kansas City school district are investigating after a small group of students posted a petition online calling for the return of slavery. The petition came to light last week after the students at Park Hill South High School posted it during a school-related activity, officials said.” https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/district-missouri-students-posted-slavery-petition-online-80178280 AdLib 3 hours ago
TW…just read the article…near Kansas City….insane. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
You cannot donate TO a candidate. PACs cannot donate to candidates. And that info came from Open Secrets where the donors’ (people) list their employers. There is no corporate money given to Sinema from Pharma just as the NRA did not donate to Bern. We have to do this analysis smarter. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph here is one of the links on the story:https://www.startribune.com/district-missouri-students-posted-slavery-petition-online/600099823/ twilson117 3 hours ago
Muprh I see you have the link. twilson117 3 hours ago
CL – What do you mean “they voted 42 times against Biden?” There haven’t been 42 bills. AdLib 3 hours ago
cl’s off air pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Sure there have been. This includes last term on Dem bills, not Biden, but there are bills DAILY you never hear about, too. choicelady 3 hours ago
I’m here PPO choicelady 3 hours ago
PPO so Nuclear Subs and an upset group of French Business people. twilson117 3 hours ago
Oh, good. Your avatar has gone from my side list pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Ouch – I didn’t see that. choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – And using that as a yardstick doesn’t work. Manchin and Sinema haven’t voted against Biden on things that they block because there is no vote. How many critical Biden bills have The Squad blocked as opposed to Manchin and Sinema? As far as I know, only delaying the bipartisan infrastructure bill until the reconciliation one is passed. AdLib 3 hours ago
PPO – Yep, your PM sure is a genius in making himself and Australia look bad around the world. \ AdLib 3 hours ago
TW texted MAcron cancelling the french order 24 hours after sending note saying looking forward to the construction! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
Getting mad at Manchin and Sinema for haggling is futile. Manchin came up with several REALLY good ideas for the voting rights bill. Sinema not so much. This IS democracy – haggling is part of it. We are NOT the GOP. choicelady 3 hours ago
The point about Manchin and Sinema is that neither has ever been a roadblock to a bill. They slow things. They don’t stop them. Neither does the Squad, but they are craven in their opposition to good principles. They voted AGAINST Afghan refugee admittance to the US. They’re vile. choicelady 3 hours ago
PPO don’t know what to say to that.
twilson117 3 hours ago
I am sorry….falllng asleep here…… MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
OK, folks. Time to say cheerio for this week. Hopefully next week will be better. We get our 2nd jabs on Oct 7. Looking forward to the relief! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago
CL – Right, I think Garland has indeed done some good things. But I don’t know and none of us do, if he may be like Mueller and while faithful to the rule of law, allow protection for the institution and the appearance of conflict of interest be the priority over indicting a criminal candidate for president and former president. It’s never been done before, is Garland prepared to take the massive hit he will if he files an indictment against Trump and prosecutes him as the presidential campaign is under way? AdLib 3 hours ago
Poor Murph – you OK other than being sleepy? choicelady 3 hours ago
Take care PPO twilson117 3 hours ago
CL..just worn down. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
Sounds good, PPO! Freedom!!! AdLib 3 hours ago
Mueller wasn’t a free agent. Garland is. choicelady 3 hours ago
good night PPO! choicelady 3 hours ago
I rather enjoy CL and Ad jousting… MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
Murph coming up on harvest time? twilson117 3 hours ago
Everyone – including those here – screeched when Garland took up Trump’s ex. privilege suit. I knew he did it to kill it. And he did. I’ve worked too long w DOJ not to know you never see the work until they pounce. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW…harvest passing away and now it is on to ground clearance and prep. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
CL – You missed my point, corporations can indeed contribute to candidates directly and indirectly. Directly, as De Joy ordered his emplyees to do and reimbursed them and indirectly by financing ads and campaign activities “independently” of the candidate, that’s money the candidate never has to spend but benefits from as if he/she had spent it. AdLib 3 hours ago
TW and Murph – that’s a lot of rough work ahead, Murph. Do you have help? choicelady 3 hours ago
CL….there is help and it goes well but with age comes greater fatigue MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
Ad – NOI corporations CANNOT donate to candidates. And donating to PACs is not direct because they HAVE to be independent of the candidate. Only the party PACs raise and expend money, but it’s anonymous to the recipient. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph – I get the age thing. I can still do what I did in my 20s, but the recovery takes FOREVER now. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph there is always something to do. How is the new co-op going? twilson117 3 hours ago
CL…good summary. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
Murph – thank you. choicelady 3 hours ago
TW…the association is moving along nicely…..smaller but happier. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
I know the laws on elections and donations because I have a c-4 and HAVE to. choicelady 3 hours ago
Murph – that’s super good news! choicelady 3 hours ago
CL – Have to disagree, Manchin and Sinema have indeed been roadblocks to bills and currently both are. Just because bills may be passed by allowing them to kill important aspects of a bill doesn’t mean they didn’t kill provisions of a bill that the party and country wants. Sinema has declared that she won’t support tax increases on corporations, Dems are now looking at replacing them with taxes on carbon, going in a totally different direction. So she does kill provisions of bills, just as Manchin does, something that the party is undercut by. AdLib 3 hours ago
Well, friends…heading for my bed….wishing you all well. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago
Murph sorry for calling it a co-op forgot you changed it to an association whiich if I recall is more realistic. twilson117 2 hours ago
Ad – what they say and what they do are different. They have NOT killed anything. Nothing. choicelady 2 hours ago
CL – If you’re counting last term, when Trump was in the WH, that’s not voting against Biden 42 times. AdLib 2 hours ago
Good night, Murph! choicelady 2 hours ago
I agree – they voted against DEM bills 42 times. choicelady 2 hours ago
Murph take care. twilson117 2 hours ago
TW…no offense….just something I have to get used to saying myself…….we may transform into a coop but that will take time. MurphTheSurf3 2 hours ago
Night Murph! Get some rest! AdLib 2 hours ago
Muprh go with what works and gets what you and the other want done. twilson117 2 hours ago
OK – I have an early day myself tomorrow. I think I will pack it in. My shoulder separation is much better but getting achy typing again. Off to the Tylenol and ice packs! Have a good week everyone! choicelady 2 hours ago
CL – And is there anything that is more destructive to our democracy and the Dem party than Manchin and Sinema choosing the filibuster over the country? AdLib 2 hours ago
Cl thanks twilson117 2 hours ago
Well Ad it just you and me for a moment. twilson117 2 hours ago
Yep, looks like it. How are things your way this week? AdLib 2 hours ago
Things are okay. Just trying to pull thoughts together on something I want to write about democracy. twilson117 2 hours ago
It will come together. AdLib 2 hours ago
It always has. AdLib 2 hours ago
Yes it will along with the ten other articles I want to write.
twilson117 2 hours ago
I’ve been laying off watching newtwork news which means no MSNBC twilson117 2 hours ago
Heh! I have one mostly written that I’ve been meaning to finish but I’ve been wrapping up a lot of loose ends on various things this week to clear my plate for writing next week. AdLib 2 hours ago
So you know what I mean. I still have those articles on religion I want to get done. twilson117 2 hours ago
Same here, right with you. I did this a while back, while Obama was in office and the press was unfairly hammering him, giving Repubs a free pass, helping Trump and piling on Hillary. I’m back to shutting them off too. AdLib 2 hours ago
Yes, they all say the same thing just with a slight twist. By the way, how bad did Eleder get beat?> twilson117 2 hours ago
Absolutely. It’s always best to be writing when you don’t have tasks on one’s mind that need to get done. Then, without feeling rushed, so much easier to do a deeper dive into what you want to write. AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad is CL a lawyer? twilson117 2 hours ago
Well, that’s a different result than the recall. 63% voted to keep Newsom, only 25% or so voted for Elder. Probably the best way to compare. AdLib 2 hours ago
63 to 25 I would say that’s a sound thrashing. twilson117 2 hours ago
No, CL is a long time force as an advocate for great policies in CA and has spent many years working with legislators and advancing bills and efforts to help the many. She is a hero in my book but we disagree here and there. She is right technically about corporate donations but those rules are evaded regularly by corporations as I described. AdLib 2 hours ago
That’s one big reason why I think Elder abandoned his plan to pulla Big Lie like Trump, no amount of BS could make anyone think he really won. AdLib 2 hours ago
I consider the debate between you too healthy and informative. twilson117 2 hours ago
TW – We are very good friends and we both respect each other a lot which gives us both the freedom to debate with each other. We know there’s nothing negative in it, just honest opinions. AdLib 2 hours ago
Hopefully Elder will slink back to his hole and stay their for the rest of his life. He has no future in politics. twilson117 2 hours ago
I do think Elder will decline in support in CA, as a failure and a loser. But there aren’t really any state Repub leaders in CA, the party has imploded over the years. So Elder may pass for a leader simply because none have his name recognition. But he is a hollow Trump impersonator which the recall proved is not helpful in CA. AdLib 2 hours ago
Elder is an automatic loser in any statewide election in CA. He could run to be a US Rep in a Repub district and win but I don’t know that he would see that as desireable, quite a comedown from running for Governor. AdLib 2 hours ago
I think Elder has far too much baggage for any high profile run on the state or federal level. Too much out there that would be difficult for him to refute. twilson117 2 hours ago
Hey I’m going to call it a night you take care. twilson117 2 hours ago
You’re right, that’s why he would be Dead Man Running in any statewide election in CA. He was and is one of the RW radio hosts who have no conscience and actually come up with pronouncements to shock people at how awful he is. AdLib 2 hours ago
Sounds good, have a great weekend! AdLib 2 hours ago
You as well. twilson117 2 hours ago
