see u soon pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

See you shortly! AdLib 4 hours ago

Evenin’ Ad, good afternoon to you PPO. Anybody home? glenn 4 hours ago

Hi, glenn! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Hey glenn! AdLib 4 hours ago

we’re a bit slow today. Must be all of the Rudi rubbish! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Don’t mess with Madam Speaker! glenn 4 hours ago

I never can remember Madam Speaker, or Madame Speaker? glenn 4 hours ago

I hope Rudy is indicted sonner than later so this ongoing traitorous garbage can be slowed down. AdLib 4 hours ago

Did you see Colberts ‘You don’t mess around” ? Classic! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

No “e”. AdLib 4 hours ago

Madam AdLib 4 hours ago

PPO – No, havent seen Colbert yet have it recorded though. AdLib 4 hours ago

Yeah, Colbert’s parody song was fantastic! glenn 4 hours ago

You’re in for a treat, Ad! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Ad–it’s just a clip…not the whole show. It’s funny as hell. glenn 4 hours ago

The intro clip pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Thanks Ad, good to know I was right the first time. Whatever she’s called, she is a bad ass. Still not sure rushing the impeachment is good, but her instincts have been right on so far, so I’m not questioning her. glenn 4 hours ago

Murph!! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Hey Murph! How are you? glenn 4 hours ago

I’m watching it now, BRB! Hey Murph! AdLib 4 hours ago

Hi folks……doing ok MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Well, actually, I am questioning her; but I trust her instincts… glenn 4 hours ago

It’s good but brief: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx2CnMptUfA

AdLib 4 hours ago

Murph–just okay? Anything we can do to help? glenn 4 hours ago

Ad–pretty good, huh? glenn 4 hours ago

Ok….is….well, ok….nothing awful, nothing glorious…. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Just a small update then I’m done. My brother is finally home and out of the pysch hospital. glenn 4 hours ago

Glenn…I did not know about your brother. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Murph–okay then! Hopefully, we can cheer you up a little, or at least get your dander up a little! glenn 4 hours ago

glenn, good for him. Hope it all works out OK pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

I hope the lockstep worshipping of Trump has taught us never to throw all in with any politician and to always be discerning. So yes, I think Pelosi has been doing an excellent job with impeachment right now and I support her but sounds like she’s still pushing conservative incrementalism on biills including the prescription bill she’s pushing through the House. So, we’ll see as we go. AdLib 4 hours ago

Murph–Yeah, I talked about him a lot last week. That’s the reason I was gone from VOX for a couple of weeks. I was done in FL trying to help him. glenn 4 hours ago

PPO–Yeah, me too. It’s pretty much all up to him now. glenn 4 hours ago

It was fun but maybe a bit too literal as it went on, not rhyming and hitting beats as well or being quite as playful. Started out great though. AdLib 4 hours ago

I wrote an article today for New Yabz on Facebook about the plight of small farmers and how they continue to place responsibility for their plight on those aligned with agri-business and bad trade policy. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Strange thing happened to fergie this week. She had 2 friends from San Francisco, a classmate at USF and a hubby f another fiend. We’ve just heard they both passed away within 24 hours of each other, in UK and USA. Relieved sadness. they were both victims of Alzheimers, so a blessed release from suffering. pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Ad–agreed. We should never worship any politician. They are only human, after all. Except for the TLB, of course. Calling him a human is an insult to all of us! glenn 4 hours ago

glenn, glad to hear your brother’s home now, hope he’s feeling better. AdLib 4 hours ago

Glenn….last week…..I know I was somewhere but where….the weeks are a blur. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Murph–and do those small farmers know who is responsible for the bad trade policy? I’ve read a couple of articles lately where many of them are pissed at the TLB, but they’ll still vote for him anyway. Makes no sense to me, but I’m not a republican. glenn 4 hours ago

Murph – Those Repub farmers are too heavily invested in believing that Trump is fighting for them and their savior. It’s now a matter of self-respect that they can’t admit the truth, they would feel too humiliated. So ignorance is chosen instead. AdLib 4 hours ago

I lost someone this week as well….one of the elderly I provided care and support for. We were in the process of moving him from his home to a skilled nursing facility…..he knew he needed the care but hated the idea of dying in a strange place….so just a few days before he was to move….he passed in his sleep. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

PPO – Please pass along condolences to Fergie for me. Yes, Alzheimers/Dementia can be very bad in its later stages but along the way, I think it’s harder for family and friends. Those with it are oblivious to it. AdLib 4 hours ago

PPO–Relieved sadness is such a compassionate way to describe their passing. glenn 4 hours ago

glenn…..(and Ad)…to turn their backs on Trump they have to face up to their own stupidity and the fetid ground upon which they stood when they endorsed him. And they can’t. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Sorry, Murph, but at least he was in familiar surroundings pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Thanks, Ad. He’s still texting me 20 times a day, but it’s alright. glenn 4 hours ago

PPO….and Glenn….I too find your wordsmithing “relieved sadness: a very fine description of that which is bitter sweet. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Passed on and thanks returned, Ad and glenn pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Murph–just glad that you’re here with us this week. glenn 4 hours ago

Thanks glenn. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

glenn – That’s the trap and I see a lot of it in discussions of Dem nominees, supporters can be absolutist followers and vicious towards any other candidate they see as competing against their “savior”. I do hope Warren is the nom but I wouldn’t post nasty attacks on any other candidates to further that. AdLib 4 hours ago

Ad–I guess ignorance is bliss, in the case of some of those farmers. glenn 4 hours ago

Glenn…what is really sad is that their ignorance is actually a blight. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

Ad, I thought it a mistake to paint Bloomers with the billionaire label, coming from a fellow Dem. pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Sorry to hear that Murph! AdLib 4 hours ago

Murph – Exactly and only insecure people can be so rabid as followers so admitting they’ve been fools and manipulated is impossible for them because they’re so insecure. AdLib 4 hours ago

Ad–Indeed that is the trap. I saw many nasty comments about Harris when she dropped out of the race. It was sad to see Dems attacking each other over “purity”. I agree that Warren is the best for the nom, but I wouldn’t even attack Biden if he was the nom. I think he is bungling the issue with his son in a big way. He just needs to be calm and keep reminding people that his son has never been charged with any wrongdoing, and did not do anything wrong. glenn 4 hours ago

glenn – I know how that can be. My mother has dementia and before we found an assisted living situation for her, she would call me a dozen times a day, forgetting that she called me before. AdLib 4 hours ago

Ad, yes it curdles the blood of the insecure to admit they were wrong. At least, so far, I haven’t heard many Dems say ‘Told you so!” and thats a good thing pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Murph–although it’s sad that he died, it’s a “relieved sadness” that he was able to go in his own home. It sounds as though he died peacefully, so that is also a blessing. glenn 4 hours ago

Murph–I like it…ignorance is a blight! glenn 4 hours ago

I have been watching a good bit of the impeachment hearings…..the case against Trump seems so solid, but i realize that nature of core case has little to do with how all of this is being received by Jane and John Doe whether they lean left or right…..lacking much in the way of organized knowledge about the nature of government and the particulars that Mueller and now the Dem led committee have revealed..those on both sides are not ready (or perhaps even able) to respond appropriately. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

glenn – I think “ignorance is desperation” in the case of these farmers. They need to be ignorant or else admit they’re idiots for believing Trump. They are voluntary lemmings, knowing they’re following their leader off a cliff but too afraid to be seen as admitting they’re lemmings. AdLib 4 hours ago

PPO – Bloomers? Bloomberg supporters? AdLib 4 hours ago

Ad–yeah, the TLB’s cultists are just like him. Never admit you’re wrong. As you say, it comes from a deep insecurity. glenn 4 hours ago

Bloomberg! finger trouble pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

glenn – I would see myself as dishonest not to argue why I have reservations about other contenders but I would never think of being as nasty as so many on Twitter and Facebook are to savage other Dems to promote my choice. AdLib 4 hours ago

Fergie is furious that Biden is being attacked from within as well as from Trump. Playing into Trumps game to diminish his opponents. pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

HI fergie! ( she’s just gone to answer the phone! pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Murph – We should recognize that someone or something could come to light that blows Trump out of the water, like Parnas having taped conversations but barring that, the impeachment hearings should at the very least, lay out for American voters that one party is fighting for law and order and truth and the other is a criminal enterprise trying to resist law and order and truth. AdLib 4 hours ago

Hey Fergie!!! AdLib 4 hours ago

Murph–I think Dems have done very well with the hearings in the Intelligence Committee, but I truly think they have dropped the ball when they continue to let the TLB get away with obstructing justice with not testifying and not allowing any of his minions to testify. So, although, I wish Dems would bring the TLB’s obstruction more to the forefront, I think the obstruction by the TLB and his minions is the most egregious example of “not responding appropriately”. I believe Dems’ response to the TLB’s actions was pitch perfect in the hearings. Again, I just wish they were more forceful in the TLB’s obstruction. Just think how many repubs would be literally foaming at the mouth, if it was a Dem president obstructing like this. glenn 4 hours ago

Ad, I think that even one event shhould have had impeachment all over it, but so much has flooded the air, that people are overwhelmed pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

Again, Ad, voluntary lemmings just cannot admit they were wrong. As my grandmother used to say, “They’d cut of their noses to spite their face.” glenn 4 hours ago

glenn – The Trump cultists are no different than the Jim Crow racists in the past. They are resolved in their support of Trump and the racism he represents. Nothing will change that and candidates like Biden and Buttigieg who claim that they can win racists over to the Dem Party are either foolish or dishonest but it will never happen. The 2020 election can only be won by whipping up Dems and indies, not by chasing racists. AdLib 4 hours ago

Just read: “Ukraine Politician Who Appeared To Push For Info About Joe Biden Was Just Arrested Amid Giuliani Visit ” Priceless! What will poor rudi do now? pinkpantheroz 4 hours ago

One of my long time acquaintances here in ultra red Mo. is a judge, a republican judge. Attorney who had a strong civil practice and was elected to the bench. He has been returned to the bench in four elections since. He is very conservative and quite rigid which is why he sees no recourse for the Democrats to press fully and widely on the case against Donald Trump. He has become increasingly vocal about this saying that GOP who care about the Party have to stand up for what Republicans have claimed as their core identity: strict constitutionalism. At first he was discreet but he has become more and more direct in stating his position. He told me today that he has been informed that he will not be endorsed for reelection in 2020 by the GOP central committee and that there are GOP attorneys digging into his record as a judge and as an attorney to find clubs they can bludgeon him with. Attacks on social media against his wife and his children have become a regular feature of their lives. Neighbors have stopped speaking with him. He has been informed by the chief judge that there are a number of requests from attorneys (prosecuting and defenses) for changes of venue from his court to another. MurphTheSurf3 4 hours ago

glenn – The only thing that Dems can do to go after Trump admin who won’t testify is to use inherent contempt and they seem to be worried that since it hasn’t been used for a very long time, a court could claim it no longer a power and they could lose the threat of it as well. I disagree, they should pursue it but they shouldn’t postpone impeachment for years as the courts and appeals drag on. AdLib 4 hours ago

Ad-I think we should all have reservations about any candidate. But as you say, reservations and nastiness are two different things. After all, no candidate is perfect and will do everything one person wants. Not to mention, not everyone wants the same things. I saw a poll today that shows that over 60% of Americans want the same things that are on the Dem platform, but most repubs won’t vote for any Dem, no matter how much s/he is aligned with their views. Again, it’s the lemming effect! glenn 4 hours ago

Bingo, Ad! I’m so sick of Dems trying to chase those stupid cultists. No matter what Dems offer, they aren’t going to change, so Dems need to get other Dems and Indies out in droves! glenn 3 hours ago

PPO – So true, Trump’s insanity has overloaded the public. So much slips through the cracks now. WHo’s talking about Jeffrey Epstein’s suspicious “suicide” anymore? So many things every day, like trying to drink from a firehose. AdLib 3 hours ago

Murph–yup, that’s what happens when you go against the cult. Total banishment! glenn 3 hours ago

glenn – Exactly, they are cutting off their noses to spite their faces. Blind, impulsive anger oblivious to how they are harming themselves. AdLib 3 hours ago

Hi all and thank you for all your caring wishes. Now I am furious at the Dems of all flavors heaping shit on Joe Biden for his take down of that “plant”. This is exactly what Trump and Co wanted. This is why they went after Biden and the the Ukraine deal. The Dems are falling for it!!! How dumb can they get. I loved Joe for coming out with all barrels blazing. I don’t care if it was “facts” or “fat” or “jack”. The guy was a ‘plant’. Fergie1 3 hours ago

well said! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Here is a tidbit from judge friend…..there is some indication that unsuitable candidates for federal judiciary seats are being advised by conservative legal groups that they believe that if Dems get control of the government they will press to impeach many of them…..I cannot tell if this warning is meant to get the nominees to back away or out or to dig in and fight even harder. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph, fearmongering and diversions are all that is left for a lot of Republicans. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

PPO–rudi needs to stay in Ukraine. It looks like repubs are ready to throw him under the bus to protect the TLB. I’m reading “A Warning” by Anonymous right now (it was an early Christmas present from my nephew), and the author relates over and over again how the TLB has no character, no morals, no courage, and no temperance. glenn 3 hours ago

PPO – And that newly indicted Ukranian will have Giuliani as company in prison. AdLib 3 hours ago

Ad, we so wish! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Fergie…. I join you in your anger…..the most important thing above all else is that the Democrat nominees do not feed the GOP Hate Mongering Dragon with the bodies of our own advocates and representatives. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Hey Fergie! Good hearing from you. Yeah, I really did love Biden for cussing out that guy. glenn 3 hours ago

Well put, Murph! glenn 3 hours ago

glenn, yep. Gloves off and bare knuckles from now on. MAGAts don’t bother with silly rules, so the occasional kick in the goolies will get their attention! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Murph – This judge is proving the fascism of the Trump GOP. There is no dissent allowed, only brownshirt-style lockstep marching behind Herr Fuhrer. As I wrote in my post, the GOP is now an enemy of our democracy. AdLib 3 hours ago

I just saw that John Dean is suggesting that the House Impeach Trump but NOT send the articles to the Senate….continue to investigate up to the election….if he wins then send it to the Senate. If he loses, hand over the materials to prosecutors. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

PPO–Exactly! Except our “kick in the goolies” (that’s a new one on me) is based on actual facts. You know, the TLB is actually obstructing justice over and over again! glenn 3 hours ago

glenn – This is what needs to change, the kneejerk alegience to a favored candidate and the hostile opposition to any who would dare to compete against them. Dem or Repub though in today’s Trump GOP, one can’t be decent and win election. AdLib 3 hours ago

I’m on Twitter and the vitriol from all quarters is abhorrent. They don’t even spend as much time castigating the crims in the WH. All washed away in one second soundbits but keeping this going for days about Joe saying he lost his cool and should know better, blah, blah, blah. All fodder for the GOP. And the bloody Bernie bros are at it too! Fergie1 3 hours ago

Murph–oh, l love Dean’s scenario! Also, there’s the possibility that if it does go all the way to the election, Dems could pick up a few more Senate seats, which would make conviction a little easier. glenn 3 hours ago

glenn – Right, give up on the hopeless, they will not be attracted away from Trump. Focus on building up voter turnout from the Dem inclined. That’s how we won in 2018. AdLib 3 hours ago

quote from sally Albright about Bernies Mob: ” pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

If this keeps up, Bernie will destroy the party while bringing us no closer to the “unity” we seek but that neither side really wants pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Agreed PPO. Albright is absolutely correct. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Ad–Not sure about that decency claim. I think you can disagree with an opponent’s policies, but you can attack the policies, not the person. We need to get back to that, and let the TLB handle the nastiness. IOW, showcase the difference between the two, not only in policies, but in decency. glenn 3 hours ago

Ad….as you might imagine by judge friend and I agree on very little but both of us respect the others experience and intellect. He was educated at George Mason University (which has named is Law School the Antonin Scalia Law School) but regarded the Tea Party and MAGA movements as fundamentally dishonest intellectually. He is clearly out of step with the party he is associated with. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Fergie – Though I am a Warren supporter, I went after another Warren supporter yesterday for trying to attack Biden for allegedly saying “fat” which he didn’t, he just stumbled over his words. I asked him, “So if Warren stumbles over a word and it sounds like an insult, should Warren supporters and Warren be demonized for explaining that?” AdLib 3 hours ago

Excellent Ad. Perfect analogy. Any response from that Warren supporter? Fergie1 3 hours ago

Murph – That is realism, many of these unqualified people Repub Senators are turning into judges will impeach themselves because…they are unqualified and will make unethical decisions. That fear is well placed and only logical. AdLib 3 hours ago

Fergie–it is abhorrent, isn’t it? I just can’t believe that some Dems think we have to get down in the gutter with the TLB to win. IMO, we need to show people that being out of the gutter is so much better! glenn 3 hours ago

Murph – I saw that suggestion from John Dean but I would argue, lets get the purple state Repub Senators on record covering up for a criminal president. The House is not prevented from continuing to investigate Trump and even bring another round of Impeachment hearings and articles. AdLib 3 hours ago

glenn, I agree and normally follow Michelle Obama’s mantra, but now and again, I have to forcibly restrain myself from doing Grevious Bodily Harm to some Fools. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Well Glenn, my ethics would agree with you, but it’s no longer “Miller Time”, sometimes it’s fire with fire and if that takes you to the gutter to get the bastards out, so be it. Fergie1 3 hours ago

I was at a dinner party last week and a woman in the group said “If Liz (Warren) is not our candidate then count me out.: There were nods from several others (women and men) but then the most respected woman in the group, a regional leader, said: “Those words are the omens of our demise as political force standing against Trumpist Fascism. For the sake of our daughters and sons, think.” MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph–you know, people like your friend, the judge, are the ones who baffle me the most. Why would you stay with a party that is completely out of step with what you believe? I know that turning to the Dem party might be too much of a stretch for him, but why not get out of the republican party and register as an Indie? Especially given the lengths the republican party is now going to in order to protect the TLB. Why does he stay a republican? glenn 3 hours ago

“You don’t Mess about with Fergie!” pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Pelosi speaks! Fergie1 3 hours ago

Fergie – I have seen supporters of most campaigns spitting venom at Biden, Warren, Buttigieg, Sanders, etc so it is real but there are also many Russian bots out there whipping up this frenzy. Many people have little self-control and are easily whipped up. Everyone needs to cool their jets, argue on issues and substance and quit taking the bait on the petty BS meant to tackle all Dem candidates to the ground. None of them (except Tulsi) are bad people. AdLib 3 hours ago

Glenn….If you are an Indie then you are a “none of the above” no standing, no place, no future. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

PPO–Yes, grievous bodily harm is very tempting! glenn 3 hours ago

PPO – With all respect, you’re referring to Bernie the way we’re talking about people referring to Biden. Bernie will not destroy the party any more than Biden would. I don’t think Bernie has proven he appeals to more than a minority of voters so I’m not worried about him winning the nom but none of these candidates are destructive as Trump is. Even if they didn’t make the best president, all would be better than Trump. AdLib 3 hours ago

One of the things that makes both The Planet and New Yabz inviting for me is that both are well guarded against trolling….trolling from the left or the rights, from real persons or psuedo persons, is the essential ingredient in the poison that marks so much public debate today. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

glenn – Decency is no longer permitted in the Trump GOP. Can you think of one Repub who has been publicly respectful of any Dem candidate or politican? AdLib 3 hours ago

Fergie – Nope, no response from that Warren supporter because there is no sensible response except, “Sorry, I was wrong,” and that’s not what Twitter users are known for. AdLib 3 hours ago

Fergie–that is the dilemma of today’s politics, isn’t it? Get down in the gutter with them, or try to take the “high road”? It’s a shame that our ethics have to be situational nowadays, but when you’re down in the gutter the only way out is to step on other bodies. he only way out glenn 3 hours ago

ignore the last four words in that last post. Thought I had deleted them. glenn 3 hours ago

Did anyone see Trump calling Trudeau “two faced”? Deflection much? Fergie1 3 hours ago

Ad, I was quoting Sally Albright. My view of Bernie is that I don’t see him as a ‘proper’ Dem, and yes he has some good points, but his socialistic mien does little for his capability to be the Dem Nominee and dilutes us, yet again. His Bros don’ to him ant favors, either pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Yeah, the TLB really got his knickers in a knot, didn’t he? And all Truedeau said was that the TLB’s team jaws dropped when he came out with his nonsense! glenn 3 hours ago

Sorry meant projection. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Murph – I tend to think that people who say, “My candidate or else” just want attention. I’ve seen Kamala supporters say that after she quit the race, Bernie, Warren, Biden, etc., supporters of every main candidate claim, “My candidate or no one.” They represent an egocentric and needy minority whose words don’t matter in the end. AdLib 3 hours ago

As many of you know I have a number of friends in the UK….the very idea that the most insulting of politicians, DT, would leave the NATO meeting because of gentle jibes from other leaders had them shrieking in laughter at his thin skinned buffoonery. As one said: :He makes Boris look even handed and noble.” MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Ad–agree 100% on the “cooling jets”. glenn 3 hours ago

BRB glenn 3 hours ago

Agreed Ad. Well said. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Kamala’s and Corey’s not catching fire has baffled me. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph – Thanks for saying that. I have no patience for trolling behavior no matter which side of the fence it’s on because it’s dishonest and manipulative. Not to mention hostile. If anyone should be able to argue something on the merits, it should be open minded people as many Dems are. If lying, insults and propaganda are the best someone has, they have nothing of value to offer. AdLib 3 hours ago

Murph, Spot ON! He can’t stand being ridiculed, especially by those his political equal or superiors. Throw in Princess Anne having a giggle and the pin is out of the grenade! pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

PPO….Pin out hte Grenade. BOOM! MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph, not me. I said months ago that Kamala was shallow and trotted out canned comments. Sorry, never took traction with me. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Fergie….I liked her style… MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

PPO – Bernie brings positives and negatives with him into the primary. I don’t support him and I don’t expect him to get the nom but his more liberal views did push Hillary to be more iberal (she started her campaign as a George Bushian Dem, attacking Obama to kick off her 2016 campaign) and is doing the same this time around. No, he is not a committed Dem and that’s why we see him stuck at around 16% nationally, he hasn’t risen or fallen, his numbers are flat. But I don’t see him ruining the primary or the party. He has made Warren look more mainstream, which she actually is, and that could turn out to be his best contribution. AdLib 3 hours ago

Ad–once again, well said. We have GOT to stop letting the TLB set the tone for our politics, and get back to arguing policies. glenn 3 hours ago

Fair enough Murph. She just never pressed any buttons for me. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Murph–thin-skinned buffonery describes him to a “T”. glenn 3 hours ago

Murph – I think Kamala did have race and sexism to overcome but she didn’t run a clear campaign, she changed her stands on HC and other issues and seemed not to have a real message until towards the end of her campaign. Cory Booker is a bit too distant and rehearsed, he lacks that genuine nature Obama had. Plus Booker is a corporatist Dem, opposing many issues a majority of Dems support like a wealth tax and M4A. AdLib 3 hours ago

Sorry that’s it for me – I’m so slow. But will leave you with the vision that Boris actually combed his hair for the laugh-fest. Fergie1 3 hours ago

Murph–Kamala and Corey not catching fire is, in part, I believe, because of the media. They aren’t “highlighting” them like they do the others. Plus, for some reason, the TLB hasn’t insulted them as much, so they haven’t caught fire with the media. Because…as we all know…the media amplifies every insult, every barb thrown by the TLB, so Harris and Booker are just left on the vine, so to speak. glenn 3 hours ago

Good points ad, and hopefully his contribution will gain us a strong Dem Candidate. ANyway, the shopping beckons once again, so I’ll sign off and say cheerio. pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Cheerio to you both, Fergie and PPO. We’ve loved having you here tonight. glenn 3 hours ago

PPO–always a pleasure chatting with you as well! glenn 3 hours ago

great to be here, as usual. I really love it. G’night

pinkpantheroz 3 hours ago

Thank you Glenn – you’re all gems. TTFN. Fergie1 3 hours ago

glenn – Yes, we need to refuse to join Trump and his like in the gutter. We should confront such disgusting tactics with sunlight and brilliance, as Obama sucessfully did. Let Trump and Dems who would mimic him be shown as humiliated. We will prevail on principle and resistence. AdLib 3 hours ago

One last thought….I was at a bank today working on loans related to the co-op I still (reluctantly) lead….a banker there who struck me as a smart cookie was asked by another banker how he explained the health of the U.S. economy (because he apparently is a doubter). The banker’s answer….yes the economy is chugging along fueled by 1.3 trillion dollars borrowed from your kid’s and my kid’s future….how could they fail given no cost free fuel. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

I see the party is starting to break up. A good night. Glad I came. I need to call for a Uber ride to get home now as I am intoxicated by the high octane dialogue. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

glenn – Fergie makes solid points about Harris though, she was very rehearsed as her first debate showed. I was down on her after seeing her Twitter feed the previous year, ignoring the news of the day to tweet about some generic and easy stand on an issue. It was so out of sync and obviously contrived. AdLib 3 hours ago

Murph–the TLB’s use of the so-called roaring economy as a reason not to impeach him has always baffled/sort of amused me. Having a good economy is not an excuse for committing crimes. glenn 3 hours ago

Also, ADP came our with job numbers for the quarter that were a fraction of what Trump’s Admin claims. He lies, why wouldn’t his numbers? AdLib 3 hours ago

But it is good to see that some bankers are realizing just how “good” (or not) the economy is. And, where are all those deficit hawks in the republican party who were yelling at the top of their lungs when PBO was bringing the deficit down? glenn 3 hours ago

Glenn….the real strength of an economy is when future indicators point to deep, long term, productive growth across all sectors with the most action taking place in the middle. Not at all what our current economy is moving toward. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Ad….ADP? MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

glenn – The evidence is stark that Repubs only whine about the deficit when they can’t use it to make wealthy people wealthier. They are frauds and Dems should NEVER listen to them about deficits ever again. AdLib 3 hours ago

Ad–hope you’re correct wit sunlight and brilliance, and prevailing on principle and resistance. I believe we are making cracks in the adoration of the TLB. Hopefully, saner heads will prevail. glenn 3 hours ago

Murph – Check this out: https://www.adpemploymentreport.com/ AdLib 3 hours ago

Well this saner head needs to lay his on a pillow and ready for the day to come. Good night one and all. A pleasure. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph–I agree with you about the strengths of an economy. We’ve all always known, that for all his bragging, the TLB doesn’t have a clue how to run an economy, much less a government. , glenn 3 hours ago

ADP is a payroll company that tracks employment broadly. Their employment numbers for the quarter only totals 67k. Not over 200k as Trump’s Admiin claims. AdLib 3 hours ago

‘Nite, Murph, sleep well. glenn 3 hours ago

Ad….so you doubt the BLS numbers? Are there indications that those numbers have been cooked. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

And, I’m checking out, too, Ad. A great, lively discussion tonight. I so look forward to Friday nights. G’nite. glenn 3 hours ago

How have other number crunchers taken to the ADP numbers? MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Nite Glenn. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Yes, I saw one analysis of it that shows the GM strikers going back to work as added in to employment numbers as well as the temp holiday workers. These are not really gains or permanent. Employment numbers should tank next month. AdLib 3 hours ago

Ad….yes….that could be IF the BLS has been corrupted….in general BLS has stood as a bastion of numeric integrity. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

They may be misrepresented again but recession numbers are all over the economy now so this employment number is inconsistent. AdLib 3 hours ago

I need to look into this. For now though….to bed. See ya latuh! Bye, Ad. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago

Murph – But I remember Reagan manipulating it and other presidents, dropping people off the charts as unemployed for a variety of reasons including ending miitary service. AdLib 3 hours ago

Seeya Murph! AdLib 3 hours ago

Ah yes, the Reagan game. As I said, I need to look deeper. MurphTheSurf3 3 hours ago
