Murph–this is a pineapple plant that my husband grew from a pineapple that we bought. He sliced off the top and somehow got it to grow. We had one pineapple from the plant when we lived in the Keys, and the plant just continued to grow, so I brought it to GA with me when I moved up here four years ago. I kept it alive by bringing it in during the winter and putting it under a grow light, and then I put it outside this summer and this past week, I noticed it is growing a pineapple again. I’m amazed that it’s growing another pineapple, but there it is!

Dems couldn’t be luckier! Without Trump in the race, it would all be about attacks on Hillary from all the Repubs. Instead, Trump is grabbing the spotlight. As husrt as she is today by the email server thing, it’s a fraction of what it would have been. Thanks Donald!

slm – In every recent Presidential year, there’s a sweep for the party that wins the Presidency, they win more than expected in Congress. The way things are looking now, Dems should benefit big time from the hatred of the Repubs led by Trump and I think they have a much better chance at retaking the Senate because of it.

Murph – Hillary is the same person she was in 2008 and before that. She and Bill need to control everything they can, from emails to the truth and now that most Americans are familiar with that, they look untrustworthy. She has been terrible in her interviews and statements about the email server and the snide crack she made after being asked if she wiped the server, “With what, a cloth?” just made her look dishonest. She is not a great candidate, she could be beaten, she may be. And whoever wins the Dem nom will become President whether it is or isn’t her.

slm – True but as I’ve mentioned, the most important thing for me is that there will likely be SCOTUS vacancies and we need a Dem President and Senate to change the majority there. That alone would be enough of an accomplishment for Hillary or whichever Dem becomes President.

Murph – I like Biden a lot and hope he gets in. That said, Bernie’s accomplishments in the House and Senate are no doubt tied to his very liberal beliefs, one wouldn’t expect most of the policies he’s fought for to get passed so that’s not surprising. Murph – Presidential elections are mostly about the choice between the candidates. In primaries, there should absolutely be discernment, maybe Bernie isn’t the candidate you prefer, I’m talking about the GE though. In a choice between a Repub who could sign into law the worst that Repubs could pass or a Dem who we know wouldn’t…and appoint a liberal or moderate to the SCOTUS, there’s no hard choice to make.
