PatsyT : A better Link
-
Khirad : Yes, night. And that reminds me to dig up some of those demotivational posters. I’ve lost some diet coke though the nose with these.
-
PatsyT : Well Folks Shall We….Love You All!……..http ://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=HgbYZ 3F4DjM
-
kesmarn : Yaaaayyy, Patsy!! This is gonna be good. On that note I will say good night, friends.
-
bitohistory : Still closing sites everyone needs to look at this site for a little fun. This is from k’es in a round about way. «link»
-
PatsyT : OK it’s official we need a Fight Fire with Satire thread. I will start it in the AM. I have a feeling that it might be fun. Get your ammo ready!
-
Khirad : Sadly, the Taitz endorsement of Angle was like – duh.
-
Khirad : I love the shaggy monsters in those Tea Dummies series.
-
kesmarn : Wow. Between the Orly Taitz endorsement and the Tea Party Express one, that would amount to two Kisses of Death for Van Tran. (Is he related to Ohio’s Man Tan?)
-
PatsyT : Oily … you know whats can cram it!
-
PatsyT : These Dummys have really got it going on… «link»
-
bitohistory : While shutting tabs how about this one? Van Tran will be a shoo in, eh? “Birther Queen” Orly Taitz Endorses Van Tran (CA-47) «link»
-
Khirad : Oh, here’s another tab for you to jack. G.A.Y.S. ((Guys Against You Serving)) – if you haven’t seen it yet «link»
-
kesmarn : Patsy, I’ve wondered about a “Humor” section on the Planet. Someone sent me a collection of hilarious old magazine ads that would be fun to share. It’s kinda nice to lighten up every now and then.
-
Khirad : Lady Gaza in No-electricy-sta n?
-
kesmarn : Betty just called the maid “Lady Gaza” I’m falling apart laughing here. Khirad, where did you find that? That is priceless.
-
PatsyT : Whhoooo Hooo Bito I have never come close..
-
kesmarn : b’ito, it’ll be morning before you get ’em closed!
-
bitohistory : I now have 372 tabs open on my ‘puter. nite!
-
PatsyT : Hey should we do a Satire thread of all of our fav vids ?
-
kesmarn : Good night, b’ito! Sleep well.
-
Khirad : Night bito.
-
PatsyT : Nighty Night Bito… all the Best!
-
bitohistory : Well, Kids it has been both fun and thoughtful–agai n. But I must say my Good Nights friends. peace
-
kesmarn : “Hey, Peep-hole!!” Hilarious!
-
kesmarn : That’s BUFFY!!!!
-
PatsyT : I love Betty!
-
PatsyT : Yes Bito and 9 NINE years of that!
-
kesmarn : Patsy, I think it is indeed. “Old times there are not forgotten, look awaaay….”
-
Khirad : This is perfect: «link»
-
bitohistory : How does one have a person in their household and not have ONE discussion with them about whether they are legal in CALIFORNIA???
-
PatsyT : Is the- I want my country back- really a message… I want my slaves back?
-
kesmarn : We feed them piece work style as they perform their duties to our satisfaction and if they’re still hungry we allow them to purchase snacks at the Biff ‘n’ Buff company store.
-
PatsyT : Ahhh the old days
-
kesmarn : Ever so much and you can fit 2 or 3 to a bed in the servant’s quarters.
-
bitohistory : They eat very little, Buffy, or you feed them very little?
-
PatsyT : Ohhh Buffy that helps with the plumbing
-
kesmarn : Gotcha, Khirad!
-
kesmarn : Buffy feels they have a much better work ethic and they eat very little.
-
Khirad : Roopsie, ‘das ist’
-
bitohistory : Yeah, that seems to be the main point. Her and Carley are yelling jail while Meggie is violating the law.
-
PatsyT : Oooo Buffy do tell are the Sri Lankans better then the Mexcans?
-
Khirad : Es ist mir egal.
-
PatsyT : Mega Sucks!
-
kesmarn : Yes, Buffy thinks people should be arrested for hiring Mexicans but not Sri Lankans.
-
PatsyT : It’s the Meg a Scandal Show Starring (shocking) undocumented workers and Billionaires… Watch as they abuse their “help” and marvel as they try to talk their way around the thing they think other should be arrested for!
-
kesmarn : Heh. Obviously, like Patsy, I do occasionally wander when it looks like I’m still on the site… As gramma used to say, though: “Machts nicht.” I’m okay either way.
-
bitohistory : Patsy, I do the same thing.
-
Khirad : I thin keveryone understands you may or may not actually be there. I really honestly have no real opinion on this. If there were a poll, just make an option which says “meh?”
-
bitohistory : Patsy, you have a better take on the “Meg Dilemma”. But it doesn’t look good out here.
-
kesmarn : Ooops, sorry Patsy, I was away from the ‘puter for a minute there. (Shaking the chills out of my leg?)
-
PatsyT : Oh Bito sometimes I may go on but then have to leave the computer so it may look like I am there but alas I may be driving kids somewhere and left the thing on.
-
Khirad : Yeah, I know, it’s great all around, I just hate giving Meg apologists any ammo. Also, is there anyone here who thinks this was coordinated? I mean, the timing, right after Meg came down hard on the issue she’s now exposed of being a total hypocrite on? I say kudos, if so.
-
bitohistory : The site, not just VoxPop. How about posting a poll? Thoughts?
-
PatsyT : Kes are you feeling your inner Chris Matthews?
-
PatsyT : OK Allred ..no not a fan just neutral there, but Meg has really stepped in it and there are Right Wing Groups wanting her to be arrested and the gal deported!
-
kesmarn : I like to know when Bing and Google are crawling. Gives me the chills!
-
bitohistory : Will meg recover/ And your right Alred? If she is involved…
-
Khirad : I don’t really care b’ito. Sometimes it’s fun to see lurkers. Plus – does it mean they’re on the site, or in this window?
-
kesmarn : I don’t think it’s invasive during Vox Pop, b’ito. Not sure about other times though…maybe not after VP is over, and such. Also.
-
Khirad : I love the Meg Whitman thing, but Allred? …
-
PatsyT : Hmmm How about having a choice?
-
Khirad : You’re right, he should’ve been in a motorized scooter! Okay, I’m done for now. But when I post more recent ones, they’re worth a look. Not all cities are lucky enough to have a cartoonist as ballsy as ours.
-
PatsyT : She is in major TROUBLE OO ooo too bad for poor Meggy.
-
bitohistory : I have a house keeping question. What are your thoughts about leaving up the window that says who is on the site all the time? No? Yes? Invasion of privacy?
-
PatsyT : OK I would love to see his take on Meg a Billions
-
kesmarn : Khirad, that guy really should be in a motorized Medicare scooter to get his mail.
-
PatsyT : Seriously Do they ever get IT?
-
kesmarn : Surely the right must assume he is Adolph Fitz Stalin.
-
Khirad : This goes with the Taibbi article well «link»
-
PatsyT : Ooooo that is a thorn in their sides!
-
bitohistory : This is the link to all his work «link»
-
Khirad : This was a caption contest «link»
-
kesmarn : Khirad, yes!!
-
PatsyT : Khirad they need to be driven … somewhere
-
Khirad : The donkey is like, “dude…”
-
kesmarn : Never, b’ito!!
-
PatsyT : OK lets hope the people of Delaware will go for the logic
-
bitohistory : Well, hush my mouth, I am wrong?
-
Khirad : Well Patsy, this is the People’s Republic del Tucsón. Still, he drives the wight wingers crazy!
-
kesmarn : The look on the donkey’s face in that last one, Khirad!
-
PatsyT : Fitz is an AZ toonist? See you guys have some hope.
-
kesmarn : Whew!! That made me nervous for a while, b’ito!!
-
Khirad : Just trying to share the Fitz love with the rest of them, bito «link»
-
bitohistory : NO, k’es!
-
PatsyT : I thought God gave us a brain to develop and use…. not give up just saying
-
bitohistory : Khirad, Fitz is a great tooner. A gift to Tucson
-
kesmarn : Although…is this actually the case? “Because O’Donnell is running in a special election to fill out the remainder of Vice President Joe Biden’s senate term, the winner of her race will join the Senate in time for the lame duck session.”
-
Khirad : Here’s another cartoon: «link»
-
Khirad : OMG, I’d caught the God part, but not that part. At first I’d compared her “being guided by God” to an Ahmadinejad quote I had handy. But my lord, this is even worse…
-
PatsyT : Bito don’t ever be shy you have a great inner compass.. the links are very appreciated !
-
kesmarn : Khirad, love the cartoon!
-
bitohistory : «link»
-
bitohistory : k’es, I posted a link to it somewhere. But then I post links way too much.
-
PatsyT : Khirad, thats rich perfect
-
Khirad : Wow @ O’Donnell comment.
-
kesmarn : As in “van Beethoven”!!
-
kesmarn : Nighty night, j’avaz!
-
kesmarn : Oh God!! Did O’Donnell really say that? She really should dye her hair blonde.
-
bitohistory : Nighty, nite , j’avaz
-
Khirad : Kes, why not change it to ‘van’?!
-
Khirad : I mean, honestly, how do you argue with a party that says they’ll reveal their plans after the election? They aren’t even pretending they have anything new – the Pledge was their best shot! Seriously, you can’t reason with people who were motivated solely by this crap… «link»
-
kesmarn : b’ito I had a friend whose great grandfather had a “von” in front of his last name and he got rid of that because of all the harassment during the war.
-
PatsyT : Say Kes, If that dirty old oil was left in their back yard they might have a holler.
-
bitohistory : K’es look at O’Donnell, She said that if she were elected that she would be able to vote in a lame duck session History? She doesn’t even know civics 101
-
kesmarn : Patsy, do you notice that the whole BP Giant Spill has slid right down the old amnesia drain with ’em, too? “Take my money, my environment, my health… Neener, neener I don’t care…”
-
Khirad : Night javaz, jam on.
-
PatsyT : Javez, No regrets! Jam On if need be.
-
Khirad : I don’t think my family ever tried the D(e)utch act, they just stopped speaking German for fear of getting sent to an internment camp.
-
PatsyT : OK who should Becky be for Halloween?
-
javaz : Is everyone going to bed now? And will I regret this tomorrow? The husband is jamming on the guitar to Eric Clapton and I think I’ll join him!
-
bitohistory : My G-G mother wold never say she was German,She was Dutch!
-
PatsyT : How stupid do you have to be to not understand that corporations left to run amuck will ruin the economy. They are in it for the Profit! ONLY! I would be cool with that if it were not for the screwing the middle class into oblivion thing.
-
kesmarn : They sit there with mouths agape and let Becky “teach” them with a blackboard and chalk. Whyyyyyyy??? When they slept though school???
-
bitohistory : History= Rayguns was great. Nuff said.
-
kesmarn : And a bite in the butt with a boil on it really hurts.
-
PatsyT : Kes those butts need to be bitten
-
kesmarn : So many Repubs have never — I mean ever — studied any history. “Boooorrring.” But ignorance does tend to come ’round and bite you in the butt.
-
javaz : I think compared to my parents’ generation, who were both immigrants, some legal and my dad’s side – not – but we’ve become a country of whiners and we forget our heritage. This country is worth fighting for, and I know that my parents suffered poverty and starvation, they truly did. They knew true sacrifice when my dad left for war after Pearl Harbor, leaving my mom who was pregnant, and leaving her with food stamps and coffee stamps. Both of my parents were immigrants and they both knew poverty and they both knew what it meant to go without food. They also knew hate, because my mom was German. We forget our heritage and how hard they fought to bring up their children in this country/
-
PatsyT : Oh good we need to talk more about what boils the butt
-
bitohistory : k’es,That one burns my butt, may they all get boils on theirs!!
-
Khirad : Good point, Kes. I think the frog in the pot metaphor works here, but even I don’t buy that. When it starts to boil, I think sociology speaks for itself. When things are no longer bearable, – and for 1 in 7 they aren’t – and many more struggle – but what I mean is it almost needs to get worse for that kind of action. A Great Depression, a draft during Vietnam, lynchings in the South, etc. Right now the corporations can pop us some Soma and teevee to keep us just distracted and comfortable “enough”.
-
PatsyT : Kes Union built the Middle Class they now enjoy
-
kesmarn : Around here, sons and daughters of union auto workers went to college on Dad’s dime (because Dad had fought for union wages). Now they’re professionals, live in the suburbs, drive SUVs and vote Republican. I don’t get it.
-
PatsyT : My Parents went through the Great Depression and they had no fear of Government.
-
bitohistory : Do people ralize that 90+% of people ARE working?
-
bitohistory : Both my parents, grand parents, and great grans went through the depression. My grand father cried when he got called back to work.
-
PatsyT : Nighty Night VegasBabe Have a wonderful evening!
-
kesmarn : Exactly, Khirad. Those lessons are fading. And the deal with the Great Depression was that people took honest-to-god risks — sit down strikes in factories, head bashing sessions with police. Not pretty. Now it’s easier to take a Xanax, pop open a Pepsi and watch TV.
-
Khirad : Nite, VB
-
bitohistory : Nite, VB!
-
kesmarn : ‘Nite, VB!
-
javaz : Never give up on Americans, as bad as it looks now, think! Think! Does no one else here have parents that survived the real thing – the Great Depression – and my God, what we are going through now is nothing like that – and then to top it off, they had World War 2 – we’ve got to suck it up and fight the corporations – IKE warned about it, and that is another thing coming to fruition.
-
Khirad : And my grandma, a social conservative, who lived through the Depression laughed at the assumption that she should trust insurance companies more than the government. She doesn’t care for politics, but no doubt votes GOP. So, I found that really revealing. She understands why such programs as SS and Medicare exist – I don’t think these people do. I think the lessons of that era are receding from memory and we will pay for forgetting them…
-
VegasBabe : alright chilren’…I need to get some zzzzz’s. Work tomorrow. Peace and love to all of you and remember, be careful out there! c’ya next Friday.
-
PatsyT : VegasBabe that is a long link but check it out when you have the time.
-
PatsyT : This all takes work… Obama also said this week, that the Slaves did not sit and complain that they were not free they knew that the time would come and they had to keep going.
-
kesmarn : Khirad, I’ve heard that Beck BS on Hoover vs. Roosevelt too. Have these people who buy that EVER spoken to someone who actually lived through the Great Depression. I have never met ONE survivor who admired Hoover.
-
VegasBabe : Sorry Patsy, was reading the article you linked. Libertarians giving up 100 mil to the GOP??? That seems like madness.
-
PatsyT : There are no Drive Thru Politics
-
bitohistory : Rand Paul is TIED!! Where is the news on that?
-
PatsyT : You know Vegas Babe, I noticed that Pres Obama said that if they are so quick to abandon ship maybe they did not mean it to begin with.
-
javaz : Never give up hope on Americans, and Jimmy Carter said exactly that during the convention when Kerry was running against Bush. Never give up on us as a people. When 9/11 happened, we all UNITED and we can do it again, and I truly believe that we will do it again, but it’s just a matter of time. And this day and age of the Internet, it’s going to happen sooner than we all think.
-
bitohistory : Why are T-bag Rallies cover and Obama’s speeches aren’t covered by the MSM?
-
kesmarn : Jane Mayer oughta get a Pulitzer for that one, Patsy. Brilliant.
-
Khirad : If it’s not Racism, it’s this revisionism with the memes of “liberty” and other Randist claptrap which is lionizing Hoover and demonizing Roosevelt, – where the corporation is a force for good, and all Unions are out to get you. I’m sorry, but how do you reason with that? I mean, honest question, how do you break through to someone so wilfully recalcitrant and bunkered into a Beckistani worldview? It’s like trying to deprogram a cult member.
-
PatsyT : «link»
-
VegasBabe : Well, at HP, MANY a libbruul have complained that he hasn’t done what THEY wanted him to do. Lots of ULTIMATUMS out there, threats to become independents, blah, blah, blah. You know what I’m talking about.
-
PatsyT : If you have not read this one, check it out, from the New Yorker, It really tells the tale of the Billionaire pursuit.
-
kesmarn : javaz, one of the people at the meeting I went to tonight is a college prof and she said that the kids in her classes don’t vote. She teaches literature, but she’s actually spending class time on civics trying to rouse these kids out of their lethargy.
-
bitohistory : VB, the Dems have always been divided. Cable and the net has been skewing things. Abandon the dems/ Obama for what??
-
VegasBabe : Hope for the future your preaching tonite javaz. Ok, I can adopt that mindset. Ok if I do that though from Turks and Cairos?
-
javaz : But think about it, these are older people that have children and grandchildren and those off-spring are not as racist and close minded and those are the people we need to reach
-
VegasBabe : Gracias PatsyT!
-
kesmarn : b’ito, I wish there were a march closer to me. The nearest one is Cleveland and I don’t think I can do that this weekend. I was thinking of trying to get to a debate in town on Monday, though, because the T-Bags are coming out in numbers here and shouting down the Dem candidates.
-
javaz : i know that we all hate teabaggers, because we all view them as racist and mainly old people and I just want to say that that is most likely right.
-
VegasBabe : hmmm…unite khirad? I don’t know…many lefties and libruuls are already thinking of abandoning Obama. How in the world do you think we can unite? I don’t see it. I’d support it but I don’t see it.
-
bitohistory : Khirad that is the attemt of The rally tomorrow. To Unite «link»
-
PatsyT : Go Steelers!
-
PatsyT : Sounds like we all need tools to be able to talk up to them and talk down to them as per individual. The other side seems to thrive on confusion AND fear.
-
javaz : Khirad – sadly right now in our country, and I’m not certain that this is actually a new phenomenon, but in this country, the corporations are winning because they’ve made it US against Them. We have to try somehow to UNITE and fight them, and I truly believe that that is going to happen sooner than any of think.
-
kesmarn : Right, Taibbi says that their resistance to adaptation to the 21st century and their longing to go back in time to a safer place is heart-breaking. But he still doesn’t like ’em!
-
bitohistory : More on “One Nation”, I should have posted it more, I guess «link»
-
VegasBabe : That Matt Taibbi is fast becoming a go to person it seems. He gets quite a few things right.
-
Khirad : I was just gonna quote the bit about 1920s football in having a discussion with a bagger, kes!
-
kesmarn : That Matt Taibbi article that you posted, Khirad, was one of the best analysis of the T-Party head I’ve seen yet. He says they are total narcissists for the most part.
-
VegasBabe : Exactly patsy. I just don’t wanna be a target, if I can help it. It’s out of control. Has been for a long, long while. But let’s look on the bright side. The Steelers are lookin good …LOL
-
Khirad : Here’s the problem, javaz. Ask people, even registered voters, who the Chief Justice is, and see how many get it right. Point is, there are a lot of Low Information Voters on both sides, who probably shouldn’t be voting. I share a Utopian vision where more become informed, but alas, I don’t see a Great Awakening such as has never been seen before in history. Base fears always have been manipulated, and while I support trying to help as many people rise above it as we can, I’m also not above wielding that tool. Quite frankly, I’d rather see more contrast and policy ads at this point. That stuff should be done by third parties later in the campaign to gather up the stragglers and undecideds (whom often deserve to be manipulated IMO).
-
PatsyT : VegasBabe, I feel like they are loose cannons looking for a target and they are getting told to point it in the wrong direction by people they think they can trust.
-
javaz : Vegas Babe – You are so correct – minorities are in for a rough ride, but it’s different now, than it was years ago. Look at the outrage from that kid that just committed suicide at Rutgers. People are outraged, and it’s the younger people that we need, because they grew up with more diversity and are more accepting, and they are very turned off when it comes to the religious right, There is hope, but we got to get the vote out
-
kesmarn : When Paledino, Angle, Rand and O’Donnell are the best they’ve got; that’s pretty pathetic.
-
VegasBabe : Trying to have a serious dialogue with a birther, teabagger or rethug is often like trying to have a conversation with a drunk. You get no where fast and it’s frustrating. I’ve quit trying and there are several folks in my midst who are of those persuasions. As long as we don’t talk politics, we’re good. These are the SAME people who will respond in horror when one of their ilk does something stewpid. But that won’t quite cut it for me, the horror response. They can’t get control of themselves, their ideas or their party.
-
PatsyT : Yes Kes God is the creator of everything even Government.
-
kesmarn : Patsy, yes. God and the GOVERNMENT, no?
-
PatsyT : Kes.. there but for the grace of God go They
-
Khirad : I thought Bill was perfect. In the real world we are faced with real choices sometimes. Not the world as we would have liked it to be, but as it is, and of the practicable choices and alternatives we face. And, in a real world there really are lesser evils, and lemme tell you that in some places like here in Arizona, it is a MUCH LESSER EVIL.
-
javaz : Both sides like to play on our fears, and we’ve got to be smarter than that and put it aside and recognize what’s really happening and isn’t what’s really happening is the corporations ruling the Global Economy?
-
bitohistory : One Nation–Rally on the mall in DC and walk in your neighborhoods. GOTV «link»
-
kesmarn : Patsy, when it comes to reasoning with the T-Bags, I’m getting close to taking it personal. I.e., two of them that I know have family members who are heavily dependent on Medicaid, VA med care, public housing, etc., and one actually works FOR the government. I’m ready to ask them where they think they’ll be when their despised “gov-munt” goes away.
-
VegasBabe : Javaz, in response to your question, I think we’re in for some serious ugliness in this country. The militia’s ALONE freak me out. On the real side, had I the loot, I’d get ghost from the US with a quickness. But I have more years ahead of me before retirement is an option. Blacks, hispanics and Muslims are are in for some trouble. That’s what I seriously believe. More hate crimes.
-
Khirad : I know we play the fear card too. And, stone me for this, but I don’t mind. A lot of people don’t really tune in for specifics. I fear talking down to people on one hand, but on the other, if this is effective then you know what, I don’t care. I’m kinda Machiavellian about this.
-
bitohistory : That may be true VB, but he may help with the GOTV with DLCers
-
PatsyT : Maybe Bill Clinton is feeling a little guilt, but at least he feels… What is our boy George B doing?
-
VegasBabe : One nation? Don’t know it bitohistory. Can you elaborate>
-
kesmarn : Patsy, someone on the Dark Side commented: “It’s impossible to reason with people who can’t think.” That about sums it up.
-
VegasBabe : Ah…common sense from the family who supported NAFTA and eliminated Glass Steagall. I really think it’s time for Billy boy to sit his ass down somewhere and get quiet.
-
PatsyT : Tealiban !! Perfect Khirad!
-
javaz : You know, the left plays the fear card too with the fear of the religious right and militias, and we’ve all got to be smarter than that – seriously – do you really believe that the religious right in this country will be allowed to stone people, or that militias will be allowed to overthrow the government?
-
bitohistory : Anyone aware of the “One Nation” gig around them?
-
PatsyT : BILL CLINTON WAS ON CHRIS MATTHEWS THIS WEEK AND TALKED ABOUT HOW THE THINKING PERSON WILL LOOK AT THE FACTS AND VOTE DEM. BUT IS THAT THE PROBLEM, GETTING THEM TO THINK? HOW ELSE CAN REASON AND LOGIC BE APPLIED TO THIS TOXIC ENVIRONMENT ?
-
Khirad : Tealiban.
-
PatsyT : The Pee Party LOL Javez! it fits!
-
VegasBabe : teaweetodds
-
Khirad : Me? I was just shocked that Dems figured out about nationalizing Boehner like they’ve done to Pelosi and Reid these past few years. I mean, hello? Fer chrissakes, not touting your own achievements, even though not perfect, etc and just trying to plead for another chance is not negotiating with the electorate from a place of strength.
-
kesmarn : Good one, javaz,
-
javaz : Teahadists
-
kesmarn : I like the Charles Schultz clone comic strip about the T-Party called “Teanuts.”
-
javaz : and telling me that it’s rain
-
bitohistory : Can I start a charity to move me out of LD-26?
-
VegasBabe : Hey kes, bitohistory, khirad. Hope all is well with you guys tonite. Anybody check out the Steelers game last week. We’re lookin pretty good …Meanwhile, sad to see we lost Tony Curtis and there is certainly a lotta hate over at HP on Rahm. Wassup with that? Someone said Goldman Sachs….I didn’t get it.
-
javaz : The Pee Party – STOP Peeing ON ME!
-
javaz : We are AdLib free, so we’re winging it!
-
kesmarn : Hi, Vegas Babe!
-
VegasBabe : Patsy T and javaz…good to c’ya you guys. Was here earlier but apparently was toooooo early…it was lonely
-
javaz : YAE!
-
VegasBabe : Javaz I couldn’t agree with you more.
-
kesmarn : Khirad, Terri Proud looks young, but, apparently, according to her comment she is already an adept liar. She will go far in the Repub party.
-
javaz : Hiya Vegas Babe!
-
PatsyT : Hi Vegas Babe!
-
javaz : Maybe I’ll start a Pee-Party – no more pissing on me!
-
PatsyT : No creaming here Javez, this is not food network
-
VegasBabe : hey gang…..how is everybody?
-
javaz : I’ll be creamed for saying this, but I really do believe both parties are corporate owned. The Dems had the perfect opportunity to stand up and vote the Bush tax cuts, but no, not before an election, and I am getting very tired of supporting a party that refuses to grow a spine and stand up for WE THE PEOPLE and I really do think that they are different sides of the same coin, but I’ll still vote for Democrats. But we really need a 3rd or 4th party to take them all on.
-
Khirad : OMG, Terri Proud actually personally responded to a blog about her… scroll down to comments. «link»
-
PatsyT : Jan B had a sign swastika d?
-
kesmarn : I don’t get it either, Khirad. Apparently Harry Reid feels he got a good deal on it, but I’d have to hear the rationale on that one.
-
Khirad : I have NO idea what is going on with that and why. It all seems so counterintuitive … I remember when Webb kept the Senate open, but why would we do it to stop our OWN president?
-
kesmarn : I’d like to learn a little more about it, too, b’ito. I understand he agreed to have something like 4 “fake” sessions of the Senate in exhange for some kind of compromise on what would have been interim appointments.
-
Khirad : Oh, that reminds me, there’s this Rosie the Riveter type billboard for Jan near Miracle Mile in Tucson, and it was vandalized again with a swastika… It’s a big climb too.
-
PatsyT : Javez, Do they like the idea of selfish billionaires making decisions about their lives? Do they want to enrich these billionaires further? Do they think these Billionaires will look out for them?
-
javaz : It’s like when the Iraq war was happening and all the Democrats, except a few said NO, as they were fearful of the Repigs painting them as weak on terror, well the Repigs did it anyway and that worked. It’s getting on my nerves that the Dems never stand up ever, and fight fire with fire.
-
bitohistory : I am not up to speed on the compromise that Reid made yesterday, Anyone?
-
kesmarn : Guess it’s up to Jan Brewer to do all the heavy lying — er, lifting, then, K.
-
Khirad : Obama is completely derelict in his duties here, Kes. I only went through two border stops today.

kesmarn : I thought it was the leftover stuff on the dessert table. I took it, Patsy.
-
PatsyT : Hey I am Blonde explain umbrage
-
Khirad : Just a bit, J, but I don’t wanna get too worked up about it.
-
kesmarn : Hola, Khirad! How’re things in AZ?
-
javaz : is anyone else pissed off that the Democrats never fight back?
-
Khirad : Hola Kes!
-
kesmarn : Hey, b’ito. I told them I was taking umbrage. They said: “Go ahead!”
-
bitohistory : make that BLondie
-
Khirad : She’s our local O’Donnell.
-
PatsyT : Proud Hummmph Proud of WHAT?
-
bitohistory : Must have hurt you, bondie! Hey K’es!
-
javaz : LOL
-
PatsyT : Hey Kes… The burdens of Blondes will never end!
-
Khirad : There’s way to many Kelly and Proud signs…
-
kesmarn : Hey, javaz. Happy 29th!
-
javaz : Hiya Kes!!!
-
kesmarn : Hey all, I thought they’d never stop telling blonde jokes at that meeting.
-
bitohistory : I went for a ride the other day and saw very few Gabby signs. Kelly is a complete wack-job
-
javaz : I think that we should try to talk to teabaggers, and try to tell them that it’s the corporations, because we need to try to make them focus, but Jesus Christ, they are so brainwashed in believing that the rich and corporations create jobs, and they really do believe that they should not be taxed.
-
PatsyT : Khirad, see thats it. Even if they are losing miserably they still fight like dogs. The Dems could use a bit of that- seeing that they have the thinking persons argument on their side.
-
bitohistory : Patsy,
-
bitohistory : They think the gub’ment is worse than Corps. But get you hands off my Medicare!
-
Khirad : I did have a good chuckle through Nogales when a big billboard from his opponent said “boycott Grijalva” – who Nate Silver has as 99% chance winning. Sonoita and Wine Country I dunno about, but all over the presence, even in Patagonia, was full of GOP signs… so, that’s my roundup. Not surprising for SE AZ though.
-
javaz : lol
-
javaz : waht?
-
PatsyT : Bito, you guys have to brush up on your mis-spelling
-
javaz : How do we connect and open a dialogue to tell that the Teabaggers that we are actually right there with them, but make them get it, that we’re all against the corporations overtaking the US?
-
bitohistory : I wrote an email to their caucus saying they need to get in the news. No reply
-
bitohistory : Even If the baggers win all their paces their caucus will be half of the Progressive caucus. But they get all the news
-
javaz : Here’s what we have to figure out – how do we tell them that they are wrong, okay I get that, in that you can never tell a person that they are wrong, because it will make them more adamant in voting against them.
-
PatsyT : Sherriff Joe is on the networks all the time … How does he fit it all in? Are there two of him?
-
bitohistory : Joe, plays the victim so well! Them dam Mex’s
-
javaz : The teabaggers are cutting off their noses to spite their face – as long as it ain’t a Democrat or libural, they’ll vote for them and that is very bad for our country, but then I am preaching to the choir.
-
Khirad : I, as always, blame Maricopa, and Pinal. I was reading last week that Arpaio is sticking Babeu with some of his mess.
-
PatsyT : Well lets go on some AZ
-
bitohistory : Are the T-Baggers going to win their generals, no matter what they wear for H’ween?
-
javaz : Man, since I got Arizonans here, wtf! With that Babeu and his investigation into Sheriff Joe – kill me now and make it quick – damn, there is so much corruption and stinks from here to high heaven – my prediction is that Brewer will be a one-term governor and it’s sad that she’ll win, but hey, we are Arizonans and we hate them liburals and all brown people!
-
bitohistory : The way they portray it down here,KH, I am afraid to go shopping
-
Khirad : Boy did I! And Raúl was a coyote! Didn’t visit the Nogales mayor in his new digs though.
-
bitohistory : He is pretty lib, I think, but if the money is there…..
-
javaz : Did you see headless bodies?
-
Khirad : Phew, I just got back an hour ago from a day trip down along the border. Where is Obama! I saw all them illegals just streaming across!
-
javaz : I don’t know who that guy is, and do you think that he’ll get a job on FOX now?
-
javaz : We are AdLib-less, so what does that mean? Throwing spitballs and being very bad – but what do you people who have cable or satellite think about Rick Sanchez being fired from CNN?
-
bitohistory : Hey Khirad!
-
bitohistory : Will they allow witch/which costumes in Delaware?
-
PatsyT : Hey Khirad !
-
javaz : Hello Khirad!
-
PatsyT : Javez, they want you to feel defeated, don’t let them succeed, don’t let any amount of RW AZ BS get in the way of what you know is true
-
Khirad : That’s what I tried to tell javaz too, bito.
-
bitohistory : j’avaz, the DNCC is giving money and running ads for Gabby and kirkpatrick
-
PatsyT : Javez, I don’t know how you beat back that trend in AZ. In Orange County CA we used to be considered the bastion of RW thought, the tide here IS turning! It can happen..
-
PatsyT : A better link «link»
-
javaz : Here’s something that really pisses me off – was when Kerry was running against Bush, for the very first time in our lives, we donated money to defeat Bush to the DNC. But this just so pisses me off, is that the DNC is not giving any money to help our Dems in Arizona, because they are conceding the races, so why in God’s name would we ever give money again to the DNC if they are not going to help DEM candidates in Arizona?
-
PatsyT : OK, THIS ONE IS FOR A LITTLE FUN… IT IS OCTOBER 1ST AND THE REPUBS ARE HAVING TROUBLE PLANNING THEIR HALLOWEEN ATTIRE BECAUSE THE TEA PARTY IS NOT LETTING THEM USE ANY OF THE GAY STYLISTS TO HELP WITH COSTUMES. THEY HAVE SENT OUT AN S.O.S … SINCE THEY TEND TO HAVE A LACK OF CREATIVITY AND HUMOR I THOUGHT WE COULD HELP THEM OUT. THIS ONE IS FOR JOE BARTON………. .«link» costumes.com/bad -planning-bp-jum psuit-adult-cost ume-one-size-plu s
-
bitohistory : I’m always great and grateful, Patsy. Thanks for asking. 4 plus yeas and still no haircuts
-
javaz : In Arizona, it’s the same ad, but they change the names of the Democrat they are targeting. That’s it, b’ito! Plus 60, and no one knows who is sponsoring them – Hello, Citizens United – Corporate America lives
-
PatsyT : Javez, I have seen some do you have a link?
-
bitohistory : Plus 60? There are running ads down here
-
javaz : Do you guys in other states have the ads against HCR, and they are filled with lies – and they make it seem that it’s an AARP group putting out them ads?
-
PatsyT : Hey Bito How are you this fine evening?
-
bitohistory : It’s a funny, j’avaz
-
PatsyT : Yes lets talk about all about Adlib..AdLib Adlib Adlib Adlib
-
javaz : B’ito. I got it now, and thank you.
-
bitohistory : j’vaz, click the second link I left
-
javaz : Since AdLib is missing, should we talk about him – LOL, just kidding, or should we talk about the elections and have any of you noticed the big money campaign ads against the Democrats?
-
javaz : Patsy, that might be it – something attorney general of health – this reminds me of the time when I went back to the church and our priest was late arriving for mass because he went and saw the Last of the Mohicans – that’s it B’ito! Surgeon General!!!
-
bitohistory : C. Everett Koop, the Surgeon General of the United State
-
javaz : Koop was the head and his goal was for cigarette smoking being wiped out totally by 2000, but now he sells them things on the Tee Vee
-
PatsyT : Health and Human Services?
-
javaz : Got it B’ito!
-
javaz : Hi again Patsy – I think Sibelius is the head of it now and can anyone tell me what that position is called?
-
bitohistory : j’avaz, are you talking about this? «link»
-
PatsyT : Hey Javez, that sounds familiar
-
javaz : Hi Vegas Babe! So, you met people from HP? That must have been so much fun.
-
javaz : Oops, saw the link thing, so hello
-
javaz : B’ITO!!! You didn’t leave a thing to click!
-
javaz : YIKES, just typed a masturbation thing and it didn’t show – does anyone remember the person under Clinton, was it the Koop position, what is the name of health care – but it was a black woman that Clinton fired, sadly, for telling people and young people that mutual masturbation was a good way to avoid STDs? Joclyn Elders?
-
bitohistory : «link»
-
bitohistory : j’vaz, click here for the VoxPop page
-
PatsyT : My dog went to Oxford
-
PatsyT : Ok I went to Oxford too! I just don’t talk about it but on the other subject….
-
javaz : And if anyone believes that I am 29, I can convince you that I am against masturbation and my first date with my husband was on a witch’s altar, and I went to Oxford and am ready to serve the people from Delaware in the US senate!
-
PatsyT : 29 not bad Javez You have a lot millage left on that brain!
-
javaz : Hey Patsy, how do I do this? It’s been so long and it’s freaking my 29 year old brain out on this side page thing! LOL

PatsyT : I will respond to that at the appropriate time…..;-)
