Has this ever worked? Have Democrats ever succeeded as a party by agreeing with Republicans, "I suppose you're right, The President from our party IS a dick!"? If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, the Democratic Party may need to hold its next convention in Arkham Asylum.
If you want to correct the error Matthews and so many other people have been making for years now, you will have to stop talking policy and start explaining strategy and the way our democracy functions.
Out of the total of 36% of eligible voters who voted in this year's election, even if Republicans averaged a 10% margin of victory over Dems overall (55% to 45%), that means only 19% of American voters voted for Republicans. So Democrats should be running scared because 81% of U.S. voters didn't vote for Republicans?
It's election night and there's no better place to spend it than in our real time live chat here at PlanetPOV!
I am working for a Democratic State Senatorial Candidate running against a GOP incumbent....and it looks like the incumbent will slide to an easy win despite the fact that he is opposed to what most of his constituents want and need.
From the moment he took his seat, Cruz became the bane of the committee, the brat who acted out because he wasn’t dictator-in-chief. Cruz does not play well with others and wants his own way in everything.
Democrats this election have done a good job attracting a lot of big on the record public donors, but Republicans appear to have the big advantage when it comes to big secret donors. $794 Million for the GOP vs. $463 Million for the Dems. That’s a $331 Million advantage for the GOP.
It's the first day of the GOP controlled Congress and the entire Republican Party is showing off who's in charge around this country. That is, who's in charge of bribery, racism and corruption.
What do you do now that Republicans won a wave election? Just what Republicans did when Democrats won wave elections in 2008 and 2012. Become intransigent and refuse to work with them because America made clear they want a President who'll block Republicans and represent their values. Easy peasy!
I spend a lot of time at whack-a-troll at but one does get a little weary of all the Barack Obama naysayers..so every now and then I like to remind myself (and others) of why I continue to support him.
