The lesson from 2016 should be, nominate someone who is inspiring to voters and brings with them too little baggage to be buried under. The media types who are Republicans and lean to the center/right or right, are more preoccupied with filling the Dem nomination slot with someone reflecting their more conservative, establishment sensibilities. That is very different from picking the candidate most likely to beat Trump and best bring change to the country.

Trump instructed his aides to always have Diamond and Silk wear name tags whenever they're around him. "The downside in having black running mates to prove you're not racist is having to tell them apart," Trump nodded earnestly.

Many media pundits struggle with object permanence when it comes to the normal, reoccurring process of primaries. Instead of a primary having trust falls and drum circles, the candidates are now actually criticizing each other so they can convince voters why they should be the nominee instead of any of the others. So they can run against Trump. Why is it so hard for them to see that 2 comes after 1?

Trump's madman strategy to dominate debates at any cost actually opened up a huge vulnerability that Biden could exploit in the next debates. It's like in boxing, you may come in with a game plan but during the fight, if you see that your opponent keeps opening up himself to an uppercut, take advantage of it and throw an uppercut.

oe and Mika are promoting Joe Biden’s campaign promise to support the ACA/Obamacare, rather than scrapping it and starting over. Comparatively, they support Biden’s claim, which is also echoed by Republicans, that Medicare-For-All or a universal single payer health insurance system would take away choices Americans now have for their healthcare. That is Joe’s and Mika’s opinions, but it is not factual.

The Achilles' Heel of Trump's schemes to override the votes of the American People is that he needs to be ahead or virtually tied with Biden on Election Night. If at the end of Election Night, Biden is clearly ahead of him and winning the Electoral College, Trump's best chance to steal the election is destroyed. So we must vote to be counted on Election Day.

We vehemently bid goodbye to this nightmare of a year, the quarantines, empty shelves of toilet paper, nurses forced to wear garbage bags, and ignorant white people declaring in public places that wearing a mask and sanity is oppression. Imagine where we could have been right now. A hostage siege still underway in the Capitol. Trump praising them as patriots while emptily claiming to oppose violence. The Vice President of the US and/or Democratic congresspeople tied up and possibly much worse. And while all decent Americans would be in shock and disbelief at what they were seeing, the entire world including America's most dangerous enemies, would be watching and considering how to respond as they witnessed the United States helpless, threatened and demeaned.

The Commission on Presidential Debates announced in the aftermath of Trump's Faux Tourette Syndrome disruption of the first debate and subsequent contraction of COVID-19, that the debate would have a virtual format. So why did Trump loudly refuse to debate in this format?

Looking at the record-breaking early voting and the higher turnout of younger and minority voters, it seems much more likely that Biden over-performs than Trump, winning more than the necessary 270 electoral votes he seems likely to win at this point.
