Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm. Hope to see you then! AdLib 5 hours ago

Hi, Ad. Any Rupublicans around? pinkpantheroz an hour ago

hi glenn pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Hey PPO, can’t see all the way to the top, so if you’re here, Ad, “hi” to you too. glenn an hour ago

Ad’s avatar is there, but quiet so far pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Okay, fixed it. So, hi to you. glenn an hour ago

Yeah, I’ve been worried about him this week; hope he’s not close to the wildfires. I think they’re near LA this time. glenn an hour ago

Wasn’t the World Series a gas? Not the games, the fan’s! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

So….how are you PPO? glenn an hour ago

OMG–Loved i! Lock him up! And did you see the fan on live TV who said we have an asshole in the fucking White House? Priceless! glenn an hour ago

Not too bad, glenn, muttering along wit 3 eyes, 3 legs and 3 arms between us and managing pinkpantheroz an hour ago

buy that guy a beer! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Hey hey! AdLib an hour ago

Didn’t watch the World Series, but did watch the MLS playoffs, and disappointed to see my Atlanta United team lose. glenn an hour ago

sorry to see Beto puling the plug, but he really didn’t have a big chance. Senate would be better pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Glad to hear you’re managing, PPO. My best to your Fergie. glenn an hour ago

Ad–you’re here! glenn an hour ago

hiya Ad pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Murph! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Thanks for your concern, glenn. Two fires have been just a few miles away but we’re not in the hills which is where the fires burn so we aren’t as concerned about them coming towards us. AdLib an hour ago

PPO–sorry to say but Beto, with his gun buyback plan, would never have made it! glenn an hour ago

Still, Ad a few miles is quite close enough! Embers can fly pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Hey Murph! glenn an hour ago

Loved the World Series and as I often root for underdogs, very pleased to see the Nats win so convincingly in Game 7. AdLib an hour ago

Ad–I hope you are able to stay safe. glenn an hour ago

And oh yeah, watching Trump’s face drop when he relized he was being booed was the biggest home run of the night! AdLib an hour ago

realized AdLib an hour ago

priceless, Ad. Scurried away after the 7th pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Hey all. Ad, glad that Glenn asked you about the CA inferno…..what needs to be done….what can be done? This is insane. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad–yeah, out of his bubble and into the real world. As the kids used to say, “Too bad, so sad.” glenn an hour ago

Murph–we have to rake the forest floor, dontcha know? glenn an hour ago

Ad, Loved that the Ownners didn’t want his orange puss anywhere near their box. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Beto is a smart man, I think his timing is good, especially if he would reconsider running for Senate against John Cornyn. He’s a good guy, wishing him the best (I contributed to him in 2018 when he ran against Cruz). AdLib an hour ago

Ad…I support Beto as a candidate for the Senate. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

AdLib an hour ago

Ad–I agree about Beto. He’s young yet, so I hope he gets some more experience under his belt. A Senate win would be great. glenn an hour ago

good one, Ad. I saw one where his Secret Service guy looked worried when the boos rang out. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad…was that face tied directly to the booing….the ones I have seen seem to have him ignoring it, standing and waving. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad–Thanks for that pic! glenn an hour ago

PPO – Yep, I stayed up much of the night when they said we could have winds up to 80 MPH, to make sure embers didn’t catch the house on fire. Thankfully, we didn’t down here in LA but they got hit hard up north. AdLib an hour ago

I think that’s the ‘lock him Up’ shot. If not, it should be! pinkpantheroz an hour ago

I see the Nats are supposed to go to the WH sometime next week. Too bad. Wish they’d stay away. But I don’t want to take anything away from their victory. glenn an hour ago

Murph – The photo is from a VF article titled, “All That Booing Revealed the True Face of Donald Trump” – https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2019/10/donald-trump-world-series-boo-face AdLib an hour ago

glenn, agree. I hope they wait for an invite from President Pelosi pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Thanks glenn! We should be fine but so many folks and/or homes in danger. Climate Change is so in our faces now, deniall is suicidal. AdLib an hour ago

denial AdLib an hour ago

Ad–di?hd you stay up to hose down your house? Or just keep a watch? Are you prepared for an evacuation, if necessary? Don’t forget your insurance papers if you have to evacuate, which I hope you don’t have to, but it’s always good to be prepared. glenn an hour ago

did glenn an hour ago

PPO–HA! Pence is awfully quiet lately, isn’t he? glenn an hour ago

I won’t be around in 2050, but it doesn’t look good for low lying areas around the world, or very dry bits pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad…I trust VF MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph – It’s hard to say what can be done in the short term. We don’t have rains like we used to at times in the Summer and early Fall. Then the Santa Ana (desert) winds come in and dry up and blow sparks to start fires more often. It used to be one fire or two, now it’s many big fires each year. AdLib an hour ago

glenn, hiding under Mother’s skirts wondering how he can untangle himself from his Godfadda pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad…that is a good summary……what then can be done? MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad, also there’s less snowfall in the Rockies, leading to less water for Ca. A Worry. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad–forgive me if this is a stupid question, but years ago, when CA had droughts, wasn’t there talk of “seeding” clouds to help rain? Is that a thoroughly stupid idea? glenn an hour ago

I did get pissed off at Mourning Jo-Jo who whined about people chanting “Lock Him Up” at the World Series, as if it was wrong as Trump urging a rabid, racist crowd to chant it about minorities. AdLib an hour ago

glenn – Beto will be back, he is a national name and a man of conscience. AdLib an hour ago

PPO–So, if the TLB is convicted, would we call Mother the First Mother? glenn an hour ago

Morning Joe’s hypocricy has been paraded under a searchlight. Mikky the Mouth now just says ‘WOW’ every now and again. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad–agree. As much as I admire Mrs. Obama for “we go high”, sometimes you just have to say, “fuck it”, I’m going as low as the TLB. glenn an hour ago

Ad….the state borders an ocean…..water that would need to be desalinated, yes, but lots and lots of water…….is anyone thinking along those lines. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

glenn – No, I didn’t hose down the roof, the fires aren’t that close and, not that I thought of them as protecting us from fires, I have solar panels on my roof so less roof exposed to catch fire. Hey, the solar industry should tout that in Cali! AdLib an hour ago

glenn, if TLB goes, White Fang sohould follow, leaving the POTUS seat to Nancy pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad–Yes, I hope we hear from Beto for many years. glenn an hour ago

Murph – I think rebuilding in likely fire zones should be limited but mainly, we need to reduce warming as a long term solution. Not sure what we can really do in the short term. AdLib an hour ago

PPO–So far, though, I haven’t seen much that ties White Fang (love that name) to the Ukrainian scheme. But, yes, I do love the idea of President Pelosi. Republican heads would explode! glenn an hour ago

Glenn….I agree with you…..the political mindset of most Americans is “down and dirty” not high minded. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph, our State of Victoria commissioned and installed a desalination plant at huge costs, then it rained for years! However, now it is needed, so a good investment after all pinkpantheroz an hour ago

PPO – Yes, So Cal gets a lot of water from the Colorado River so lesser snowfall in the Rockies is worrisome. AdLib an hour ago

Ad–do your solar panels cover all of your electric costs? glenn an hour ago

ad….I agree with the rebuilding limitations, much as I do with blocking building in flood plains here. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

glenn – Yes, I remember the cloud seeding suggestions and I do think that may be an idea worth reviving. If we could at least get occassional rain in the Summer and early Fall, it could limit these fires. AdLib an hour ago

PPO….yes the plants are costly but in recent years as tech has improved costs have come down….some. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad, Murph, I would renegotiate all Water sales contracts with companies like Coca cola, major cotton growers and vineyards to pay more for OUR resources. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

glenn – I didn’t even see it as going low. The “Lock Him Up” chant at the WS was sardonic, it was a spanking of Trump BECAUSE he led that chant at his rally. He can use Bill Barr to lock people up. Fans at the WS don’t have that power, another big difference in intent. AdLib an hour ago

Ad, rain or no rain, one way to reduce fires is to have regular clearance of fuel. Not being done because of budget restrictions, but see what you lose if you dont?. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

PPO…good approach. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad…good read on the crowd action at the WS. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

PPO….you are on the mark re. clearing the brush etc. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Murph–well for sure the political mindset of at least 30-40% of Americans is down and dirty…they’re called the TLB cultists. I am really happy with the way Pelosi is actually “going high” with the impeachment process. She is keeping the personal insults (mostly) out of her statements, and talking about how she doesn’t want to hold these investigations and hearings, but the behavior of the TLB leaves her no choice. And, it’s been evident for a long time that she was reluctant to hold impeachment investigations, but the TLB left her no choice. glenn an hour ago

Murph – Great point! Desalination is expensive, there’s a new technology using a molecular film that could desalinate less expensively and clean water but it is still being worked on. We don’t have any desalination plants in So Cal that I know of, probably because we’ve taken for granted the Colorado River water we have gotten since the Chinatown days. AdLib an hour ago

well put, glenn, She did well on Colbert not to dish dirt on TLB, but was subtle enough! She did very well concentrating on the Constiution pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Glenn..I am not suggesting that leadership adopt down and dirty tactics….but I am suggesting that those in the cheap seats speak that language and to censure them for using it because it is unseemly is foolish. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad–do you know if the cloud seeding ever occurred, and if it did, what were the results? The desalination plants are also a good idea. glenn an hour ago

Ad……as you say “taken for granted” but the Colorado ain’t what it used to be either. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

glenn – My solar panels have been very financially successful. During late Spring through early Fall, they cover about all my power plus I bank extra credits. In the Fall through early spring, not as much but without A/C needed, we don’t use as much. I think my savings, including the loan on the panels, is around 40% annually on what we would be paying to the DWP. AdLib an hour ago

Ad, Glenn. PPO….I have a chemist friend who is very concerned about the long term effect of fire retardation chemicals that are dropped from planes. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad–I agree–I saw the lock him up chants the same way you did; the TLB deserved them! glenn an hour ago

Murph – Yes, cities and states should accept the reality of Climate Change and restrict rebuilding in repeated fire and flood areas. Then maybe construct fire breaks in their place out here and water pumping stations in flood areas. AdLib an hour ago

glenn, seeding with Dry ice did work, but only when humidity, dew point and other factors aligned. They tried it in the 60/70s here, but it was costly to use aircraft. Now…. dro\nes perhaps? pinkpantheroz an hour ago

Ad….great stats re. solar……in the sunny climes they do tend to be a valuable choice. I am using them to charge batteries at several spots on my property where power lines do not exist. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

With all the savings from FEMA and insurance after not rebuilding and being flooded or burned out again. AdLib an hour ago

Ad…now THAT is a plan…. MurphTheSurf3 an hour ago

Ad–that’s very cool about your solar panels. Have you recovered the cost of installing them with your savings? I’m hoping that when I move back to FL in a couple of years to have them installed in my house. glenn an hour ago

PPO – Nestle owns a monopoly on water bottling, they should be broken up as a monopoly and restricted from bottling public water as they are “stealing” and selling now. AdLib an hour ago

Ad, uproar here because COCO gets megalitres for cents. They should pay commercial rates like other companies. pinkpantheroz an hour ago

PPO – Trees and growth are everywhere in CA (except the desert) so it would be an unimagineable task to reduce them throughout the state. Lots of homes in hills where fires are more frequent. Great views but now, real danger. I used to think of having a home in the hills but would never do it now. AdLib 44 minutes ago

Murph–I agree…we “common folk” should be able to speak our minds. After all, that’s supposed to be the appeal of the TLB. And I wasn’t implying that you wanted leadership to adopt down and dirty tactics; I was just contrasting the difference between Pelosi and the TLB. glenn 44 minutes ago

Thanks Murph, on the WS crowd take! AdLib 44 minutes ago

glenn – No, I don’t know about the results of the cloud seeding but I have read about it working in some places, I think it’s done regularly in Russia. AdLib 42 minutes ago

Murph–I always think of Agent Orange when I see those chemicals dropped from planes. Also just read an article today that says that more cases of thyroid cancer are showing up in women because of mammograms and dental x-rays. The article also says that one can ask for a throat guard for both your dental x-rays and your mammogram, but you have to ask for it. Interesting…. glenn 41 minutes ago

Murph – Exactly, the CO River is delivering less water than usual, not as bad as the drought period I think but not good. So desalinization is a good pursuit. AdLib 41 minutes ago

Ad, I’ve said it before, but Ca should ban eucalyptus trees. They hold too much oil and explode in fires. They are designed that way to spread their seeds. They were brought in for exotic gardens and spread. pinkpantheroz 41 minutes ago

Glenn….I agree with you…those at the top should speak with enlightenment and inspiration in mind but the gut feelings that rise out of the everyday guy/gal should be recognized as authentic. MurphTheSurf3 40 minutes ago

PPO–Your drone idea is interesting re seeding clouds. As for humidity and dew point aligning, if you have a dry climate and as Ad says, the Santa Ana winds kick in, then the humidity factor is low. Too much for my feeble brain to figure out. glenn 40 minutes ago

Murph – I’ve been thinking the same thing! Watching all that retardant dropped, I’ve grown concerned if it’s making land, air and water more toxic. Don’t know what’s in it, should research it. AdLib 40 minutes ago

glenn, low humidity and dew point – DRY Air. Seeding is no good in dry air – has to be a bit damp! pinkpantheroz 39 minutes ago

Ad, Ammonia compound, mostly which boils off in the heat. Retardant doesn’t put out flames, it slows the firefront down so it can be attacked. pinkpantheroz 37 minutes ago

Murph – I always wanted to get solar but after seeing first hand the financial savings which are pretty big, especially in Summer months when the A/C would push my usage into higher-charged tiers, just avoiding those is a big savings but now my solar pays the bill in full and then some in the Summer. AdLib 37 minutes ago

PPO– Yeah, so that seeding may not work in certain areas of CA–too dry. Desalination is the way to go, I think. glenn 37 minutes ago

Ad…..good deal….I have several pumps and aerators in distant buildings that I did not want to run lines to…so far the batteries have been charged to about 50 percent so I supplement with batteries I charge in my barn…. MurphTheSurf3 35 minutes ago

glenn – Our solar panels were $0 down and about $175/mo on a loan. They generate far more than that dollar amount per month, many times, the full amount of our bill so we’ve been saving money from the start. AdLib 34 minutes ago

The CA legislature should begin looking into funding/supporting desalination companies. It should probably be done at a federal level, like solar and wind power, but if it benefits CA, forget anything at the federal level. glenn 33 minutes ago

PPO – Same story here with Nestle companies (they own most bottled water in the world), they pay the city pennies for public water then charge way more after it’s bottled. And drain water from communities that may need it. AdLib 33 minutes ago

Ad–thanks for the info on the financial side of the panels. I am definitely going to look into it when I build/buy my next home. glenn 32 minutes ago

PPO – I grew up here with eucalyptus trees at my school so have a fondness for them but haviing a low koala population here, we could do without them if it meant less severe fires. AdLib 31 minutes ago

On a familiar topic but worth passing along….Napolitano at Fox News penned one of the best pieces on the Trump Impeachment Case that I have read. I recommend it. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/judge-andrew-napolitano-hiding-plain-sight MurphTheSurf3 31 minutes ago

PPO – That’s a relief to know about retardant. AdLib 30 minutes ago

PPO and Ad–a few years ago, Florida started taking out all the eucalyptus trees along the highways for the reasons you cited, PPO. They take too much water from the ground aquifer in FL. glenn 30 minutes ago

Murph – Very cool and no doubt, saves money! AdLib 30 minutes ago

Murph–yes, Napolitano has been on a roll lately, trying to educate the idiots at fox. glenn 29 minutes ago

Ad, LOL! pinkpantheroz 28 minutes ago

Ad….good article on the fire retardant…..some worrisome stuff there but balanced. https://www.sgvtribune.com/2016/07/23/is-that-red-fire-retardant-dropped-from-planes-during-wildfires-safe-for-humans-and-the-environment/ MurphTheSurf3 27 minutes ago

glenn – Since potable water shortages are really becoming a national issue, I think a national infrastructure plan needs to be put in place to provide water to drier and drought/fire-prone areas. I have this concept about national water pipelines, moving water from reservoirs and lakes in some states that flood and need the water reduction during storm season and delivering to drier states. AdLib 27 minutes ago

Good God, I can’t believe it! Fox with something worth watching? I think I’ll have a lie down, I d]feel faint! pinkpantheroz 27 minutes ago

Glenn…he has. MurphTheSurf3 27 minutes ago

Ad..I think the desalinization plants are, in the long term, a better idea that pipelines. MurphTheSurf3 25 minutes ago

glenn – The key is, instead of paying the power company, we’re paying to own the solar panels which are reducing our electric bills by far more than that payment. And doing a good thing by using less poluting power. A real win all around. AdLib 25 minutes ago

Murph – Isn’t it amazing that it’s more frequent to see Trump nailed on Fox News? AdLib 24 minutes ago

glenn – It makes sense but so many eucalyptus trees out here, that would be a big job. AdLib 23 minutes ago

Well, Folks, I have to love you and leave you. Tayto Crisps are on special at my local Supermarket. Ask anyone Irish if they can do without their Taytos, and they will tell you they would crawl over broken beer bottles to get them! pinkpantheroz 23 minutes ago

Ad–you’ve spoken of your idea about the national water pipelines before; and I think it’s a great idea! We just need to get people in DC who actually care about those things. glenn 22 minutes ago

oops! Sorry. Cheerio! pinkpantheroz 22 minutes ago

Ad–yes, I agree that solar panels are a good deal all around. Can’t do it where I live now because I live in a restricted community, and it bums me out. glenn 21 minutes ago

Fox is taking a different approach than the one that has marked their usual stratagem to be All In…..what do they know? MurphTheSurf3 21 minutes ago

PPO…enjoy the Taytos MurphTheSurf3 20 minutes ago

I too am heading for the door…… MurphTheSurf3 20 minutes ago

Murph – Actually, the concept of national water pipelines have a twofold benefit that pays for itself. Consider the billions in flood damage that’s spent each year and will only get worse. Two problems, one solution. Reduce or prevent flooding in states that are getting flooded worse and worse each year while putting all those billions of gallons of otherwise wasted water to good use. Desalination definitely makes sense as a mid term solution but doesn’t help to mitigate flooding in FL, TX, LA, etc. AdLib 20 minutes ago

Then have a great weekend Murph! AdLib 19 minutes ago

As someone who lives in a state that floods I have to say that predicting where the floods will be is not at all easy…..and that is the key to pumping out enough water to make a difference in the scheme you lay out. MurphTheSurf3 19 minutes ago

Ad–the eucalyptus trees are very prolific; perhaps begin with the hardest hit areas first? Every problem has to be solved one step at a time; although I understand the financial considerations also. glenn 19 minutes ago

G’night, Murph. Great conversation tonight! glenn 18 minutes ago

glenn – That’s frustrating. I don’t suppose the community would ever come together to approve solar panels. It’s not as “pretty” but you get used to it very quickly…and the money saved is more than worth it. AdLib 18 minutes ago

Thanks Glenn. MurphTheSurf3 18 minutes ago

glenn – Good suggestion. AdLib 18 minutes ago

Ad…..I have seen some very attractive panels on homes here…. MurphTheSurf3 17 minutes ago

Murph – But many cities like Houston, New Orleans, etc. flood often. Start with those kinds of cities, unfortunately, many will follow. AdLib 17 minutes ago

Tesla now makes solar panels that look like roofing. I don’t think they’re as effective but they touch all the bases. AdLib 16 minutes ago

Ad…there has been talk of building diversion systems at key points along the Mississippi…..that might be the way to go. MurphTheSurf3 16 minutes ago

Ad–No, I don’t think our community would ever come together to approve solar panels; I had a hard enough time getting my satellite TV approved. However, since I would be the one bearing the cost; I will look into it. Not sure it will pay off for me since I won’t be here much longer; don’t know what is available here in GA. But, you have given me inspiration to look into it. glenn 15 minutes ago

They have pumps already in New Orleans and in FL. So…an infrastructure plan like this could identify the frequent flooding areas and start there. AdLib 15 minutes ago

For Houston the problem lies with ground that is not water absorbent (I have a sister who lives there) which is why floods occur at varying flash points across the area. In New Orleans the flooding is the result of the destruction of the bayous that used to buttress the city from the Gulf. MurphTheSurf3 14 minutes ago

glenn – I would imagine you’d get a lot of resistence, people generally don’t like change. If you’re moving, not worth it but as long as you get a transferable loan for the panels, you can just sell them as a package with the house. AdLib 14 minutes ago

Murph’s point about predicting the floods has merit; but especially in many coastal communities subject to hurricanes, some flooding can be predicted. glenn 13 minutes ago

Glenn…I saw stories today about new efforts in your state to drive voters away from the voting booths by attacking the lists. MurphTheSurf3 13 minutes ago

Ad–I’m sure I would get a lot of resistance; this is a 55 and over community, so the old folks in here aren’t real open to change. Plus, sadly, most of them are repubs, who think solar panels are “socialist”. glenn 12 minutes ago

Murph – The flooding of New Orleans from Katrina wasn’t the rain but the levees breaking on Lake Ponchatrain. That is a massive lake that overflows in storms. And NO is below sea level and shaped like a bowl. The perfectly terrible geography for flooding. AdLib 12 minutes ago

glenn – Yes, consider that flooding in cities like Houston, New Orleans, etc. require pumping water out of dams and reservoirs so they don’t overflow. That’s where a pilot program could start. AdLib 11 minutes ago

Murph–yes, sadly, GA is again trying to stop people from voting. Stacey Abrams is working on stopping it; but with Kemp as governor, it’s going to be a fight. At least this time, they’re not doing it three weeks before the election. glenn 11 minutes ago

glenn – Yes, I get it. Even though most of those folks are on fixed income and saving a big chunk in electric bills would really make a difference in their lives, people who think conservatively don’t hesitate to cut off their noses to spite their faces. AdLib 9 minutes ago

Ad…Ponchatrain used to have a deep ring of bayous on the Gulf that no longer exist. And the levees, are, as you say, inadequate. MurphTheSurf3 9 minutes ago

Glenn…the GOP is totally lacking in honor. MurphTheSurf3 9 minutes ago

Well….this really has been great fun….intelligent and passionate. MurphTheSurf3 8 minutes ago

Ad–Florida does have some pumping out of lakes prior to flooding; especially Lake Okeechobee. The problem is they dump all that fresh water into the salt water estuaries. If they could re-direct that water into pipelines that go out of state, it would be so much better. However, it would be very costly to start. Again though, each solution has to start with small steps. glenn 7 minutes ago

glenn and Murph – But I heard that the names of the voters Kemp is tryng to purge are going to be made public. A huge burden on voting rights groups but maybe they can help to restore rights to some of them. How anti-American! Repubs are anti-democracy, so obvious. AdLib 7 minutes ago

Dumping fresh water into salt water ruins the eco-system of the salt water. glenn 7 minutes ago

Ad…very good point re. the GA lists. MurphTheSurf3 7 minutes ago

Murph – Yes, the levees though have been improved but NO is doomed by rising sea levels anyway. AdLib 6 minutes ago

Ad..NO and Miami and the Keys and…. MurphTheSurf3 6 minutes ago

Ad–Isn’t it amazing that repubs want to stop so many Americans from voting, yet have no problem with asking a foreign government to interfere in our elections? Priorities, I guess. glenn 6 minutes ago

Good night to you both. MurphTheSurf3 5 minutes ago

glenn – Yes, it would need to be strategic and gradual, piping fresh water from flood cities to closer locations that could then pipe their newly excess water to a closer location, etc. AdLib 5 minutes ago

Yep, Miami Beach will be Miami Lagoon in a couple of decades. AdLib 4 minutes ago

Ad–yup. There are many conservatives who think “conservative” means living in the 50’s when women, immigrants, and blacks “knew their places”. glenn 4 minutes ago

glenn – I didn’t think Repubs could be so bold about taking voting away from people, it’s so undemocratic and unAmerican but in the states they get away with it, lots of white follk who also don’t want non-white folk voting. AdLib 3 minutes ago

Ad–strategic and gradual wins the day. Of course, we would need dedicated politicians, scientists, and just plain folk to accept it. glenn 3 minutes ago

glenn – Indeed, it would be a very long term, gradual plan and would need a long term commitment. Something we don’t see a lot in America nowadays. AdLib 2 minutes ago

Alright, Ad, time for me to say “good night” too. Thanks for all the info on solar panels; great discussion tonight. See you next week, and stay safe! glenn 2 minutes ago

Butt once it was complete, as the rest of the world struggles for potable water and with floods, the situation in the US could be so much better. AdLib a minute ago

Really enjoyed it too, glenn! Have a great weekend! AdLib a minute ago
