well we heard the speech.

Now all you arm chair QB’s what is your winning plan
that can not fail??

OK, is one part of the plan is having congress vote on some plan they will all get behind?

Yea no one has that one plan that will work but will blame everybody Else’s plan!

But congress has been on “vacation” for more than a month and will be going on another “vacation” in a few days. They are too busy “vacationing” (campaigning) to do their jobs.

HI Nirek love your answer and sad to say your correct.

This time some of the democrats are avoiding their duty by the constitution and their oath of office.

I was watching MSNBC and every pundit and guess said well this will not work. Weather it was air strikes by the US, boots on the ground was a no, that is obvious. etc etc.

I am still waiting to hear a alternative plan that will work.

OH congress may not decide to vote at all.

Then they can say on what every the President does is wrong.

Exactly, the electorate should vote to remove all leadership in congress for dereliction of duty. 🙂

HI MA how are you? Yea i agree.

Being the president and tiring to stop a war that has been going on for thousands of yrs in a short time is extremely difficult.

He can not do this by himself and he will need many other countries involved even to try.

live long and prosper MA!!

Hello RSGmusic!!

I agree with your statement, the President can’t do this alone. I believe he won’t be able to do it with help either. How do you defeat an idea with bombs? Can’t be done IMHO. We are throwing good money after bad, and are involving ourselves in a situation that would best be left to those who live in the region. Assistance yes, Leaders in this effort, never. We do not have the moral authority to lead this after getting it started in the first place.

Ya your correct on the bomb idea.
You are also correct that the USA does not have to lead the coalition.

Here is why we seem to not be able to back out to that point.

THe press would have a field day by saying we the USA have a moral responsibility to the americans left in the countries. We do not leave people behind.
His general plan is ok. Someone will have to bomb to cover the troops (not ours ) that go into to get Isil.

Repeated again. their is no plan that will not be blamed not matter who does it in the USA.

You must be well educated and a teacher of some kind in the past. Perhaps a Professor or something to do with journalism or a job that promotes a company you worked for.

peace and long life MA !!

I think it is a bad idea to go to war over what the press may or may not say. We started this, and did not do a good job of ending it with 200,000 boots on the ground and all the air and sea support in our command. So, how do we expect to do it in the manner in which we are planning now. I believe this effort will continue until the President is out of office, and whoever gets voted in next will have to pick up where he left off, just as he did when Bush/Cheney left office.

HI MA, had to go back to answer again.
Yea your last post is true. The next president will have to deal with this.

It would be the same No matter if the GOP had the presidency. ONE thing is for sure. If a GOP president was in now. we would have thousands of our military citizens in there for 6 yrs. The country would be much deeper in debt and another big recession or depression would all ready be here.

Prosper always!!

Thank you President Obama for making everything crystal clear, and for taking your time to think about it first.

It was what I expected. It was strong and well thought out. There is no other plan except that Republicans would like nothing better than to send troops back into Iraq.

He doesn’t need the approval of Congress, but knowing what a weak and whiny bunch of losers many of them are, now they won’t be able to claim that he went over their heads with this decision. Well played.

Yes Kalima i agree again with your post and you said it well.

NO one will like this plan much but here is the trueth. They the GOP or pundits do not have a better one.

At least he is not rushing like a cowboy.
