KT, Harry is such a treat. Makes breathing deep and listening so much easier. I’m not saying it well, but he makes me always feel better

FC, it’s that really smooth voice that does it. It is really evident in the Moonbeam Song.

The Jimmy Buffett version of “Trip Around the Sun”. Followed by the version of Stephen Bruton, who co-wrote the song and who sang it best. Stephen quit riding around the sun a couple of years ago, and I miss his music dearly.

followed by Bruton – at least listen to his interview. He was a master songwriter.

AB, riding around the sun is a keeper concept. Tomorrow morning I’m sitting with coffee and listening to the whole of this.

Food: I wish you could have had the pleasure of hearing Stephen live. I once described him as the “cutest white man alive”. He fell off his white horse to me, but he was still cute and a great writer. Check out others on YouTube. My fave was always Top Hat; some of the lyrics were “I’ve got a big top hat with a crown of thorns, just like you-know-who” and of course the chorus “you can kiss my ass till my hat pops off; goodbye, I’m headed south”. Words to live by IMHO.

A lot of good music in that movie. And another great film from the Coens.

Kes, great movie and great music. And as KT will vouch, one of the greatest phrases? “I swear I thought you was a toad!” Once I take the tree down (not until it begs to be taken out), I think it would be fun to rewatch this movie.

KT and foodchain, that is a terrific movie, isn’t it? Everything about it — the story line, the visuals, the music — the George Clooney — is as close to perfection as you can get.

FC, One of my favorite lines is at the end when the “governor,” declares, “I think I’ll make you boys my brain trust!” Too funny!

FC, I have to admit that I prefer Jeff Beck and Imelda May’s cover of this great song. Imelda is my future wife. (I wish)

You’ll have to buy me a root beer for introducing you to your fiance, KT. 🙂
