In tribute to the low wattage of mental power generated at the GOP Debate this week (they are conservative, maybe they were just trying to conserve?), the theme of this weekend’s music thread is thinking. Memories, ideas, wishes, imagination, concern, all the remarkable things about the human mind that amazes us…and totally bewilders Republicans.

Think – Aretha Franklin

I Will Remember You – Sarah McLachlan

In Dreams – Roy Orbison

Free Fallin’ – Tom Petty

Wish You Were Here – Pink Floyd

Imagine – John Lennon

I don’t know if anyone has heard of Utah Phillips, but “Moose Turd Pie” is a classic in learning on the run. Funny, good time stuff. He wrote about hobo life and train songs.
