391_lgSeriously, I am having doubts that any of this has anything to do with resolving the nation’s health care issues.

I see almost nothing that would substantively reduce the national cost of health care.

I am becoming convinced that about a third of the money we spend on health care is wasted.

Our “healthcare” system is fundamentally broken. We have health and malpractice insurance systems. Private profit healthcare insurance keeps insurance rates up and bloated malpractice insurance rates keeps the costs of unnecessary testing up. What is actually paid out in tort claims is a very small percentage of costs but the insurance rates providers pay is a much larger factor.
