Found this comment over @ HP regarding Mittens’ birth certificate “joke” @ a rally in MI today:

Bronxdude
Commented 1 hour ago in Politics

“Under Boehner’s failed leadership, the meltdown of the bigoted, misogynistic, homophobic, and xenophobic GOP brain trust charged with restoring America’s “traditional values,” which is code for resurrecting Jim Crow, continues unabated. While touting their morally superior Christian values, and simultaneously promoting themselves as self-appointed messianic saviors of America, these holier-than-thou, self-righteous buffoons underscore the toxic hypocrisy and caustic racism that undergirds the GOP. Because of the hate campaign led by Fox “News”, when compared to Bush 43, the FBI reports a 600% increase in death threats against President Obama, confirming that the GOP has devolved into a rudderless mob hell-bent on maintaining control through hate inspired misinformation. In order to be Republican, one must willingly abandon independent thought, ignore facts, pacify bigots, and never stray from the hate-filled, fear mongering script provided by Mitt, Paul, Sean, Rush, and Trump – de facto GOP leaders. Because Mitt is a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries, Mitt will never support the middleclass or stop lying for political gain. Using McCarthy era tactics, Mitt will label socialist any initiative that benefits workingclass Americans. Historically, Mitt has never wavered in his opposition to social security, Medicare, Medicaid, equal rights, public education, support of the middleclass, school lunch programs, fair housing, etc., just to name a few.”

Now Boner and the Teathuglicans will swing into action and whine, whine, whine. Can’t wait to see the angry mob fly above the radar.

Hi AdLib, nice to be seen!

I think what impressed me the most was Sam Donaldson’s candor. Especially the part about an African American in the White House. It is the bottom line and the reason Teapublicans have their panties in an uproar.

I always said it had nothing to do with the policies of the White House, but everything to do with the family living in the White House.

A bunch of bigoted old white guys and their alter-ego extremists. It is pathetic and a very sad commentary on the inability of many Americans to think for themselves.

Oh for Dog’s (been hanging out in animal rescue for awhile)sake! The GOP (even thems that hate each other)circling the wagons ’round the MAJORITY SUPREMES? Why am I not surprised and, yes, my apologies for pulling this from HuffPoop:

And, I am so out of touch, I can’t remember how to do all the fancy stuff anymore.

PS…what’s the old cliche? He who BLOWS A FLIPPIN’ gasket MUST have something to hide. This bought and paid for party/institution IS NOT/WILL NOT play fair or above the radar once again.

PSS…and thank you Planet Peeps…they’re all cut from the same fucking (please don’t delete me) cloth!

PSSS…I almost resurrected my HP account on this one, but chose not to give them the satisfaction. Instructions/duct tape for the typing phalanges please.

Hello All…

Short of reengaging my long and NOT missed account at HPOO just to voice my opinion (which I REFUSE to do), I did read this today and totally lost it. I’m thinking Shirley Temple, Spanky & Our Gang, Judy Garland, Gary Cooper, and on & on & on.

Regardless of whether I have been around or not, I have always felt safe, welcomed, and accepted for whatever is/has been going on with any of us.

These people are flippin’-NUTS!!

Much to the dismay of my daughter and son in-law, I am seriously considering updating my Ohia license plates to OBAMA 12. Their reasoning is the mentality of some (not all) of the residents of the state…my new car will be victimized. Thoughts?

KQ,

The Neocons would love it if President Obama escalated to tanks and artillery. A third Middle East conflict, involving the US, would ensure he wouldn’t be elected to a second-term.

Kasich, Ohio, and Buyer’s Remorse — a prime example.

Kasich Promises To Help Low Birth-Weight Babies, Then Slashes The Programs That Help Those Babies

Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) unveiled “The Jobs Budget” yesterday — a two year spending proposal that slashes funding for local governments by 25 percent in fiscal 2012, and 50 percent in 2013. Kasich’s callous budget efforts, including his union-busting attack on Ohio collective bargaining rights, have won him boos, tears, and staggering unpopularity within his first three months in office.

But last week in his State of the State address, Kasich touted a “surprise,” promising an initiative to aid low birth-weight babies. Low birth-weight babies face serious health risks and expensive hospital re-admittances. “With a little extra effort, we can make life better for the most vulnerable Ohioans by also giving taxpayers better value,” Kasich said:

Let me tell you what we’re talking about, low birth weight babies face serious health risks. And I know my kids come out at four-two and four-four, my sweet Emma and Reese. But they weren’t the really low birth weight babies because they got to go home. But the ones that have those serious health risks, they incur six times the costs as other babies.[…]

Now, I think we can help these mothers and their babies by staying in touch with them and how about give them the prenatal care they need so that we don’t have more low weight babies born? We can take — we can’t solve it all, but we certainly can solve some of it. And with just a little extra effort, we can make life better for the most vulnerable Ohioans by also giving taxpayers better value and making Medicaid more sustainable.

But Kasich’s budget tells a different story. While reiterating the objective to provide “evidence-based parenting education through the Help Me Grow Program” and “provide safety screenings, parental mental health screenings, and needs-based referrals for 15,000 pregnant women and first-time programs” on one hand, Kasich slashed funding to programs that support this work with the other. He cut the Help Me Grow program — “a program for Ohio’s expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers that provide health and developmental services” — by $2.8 million, eliminated operational support for the Mothers and Children and Safety Net Services, and eliminated state funding for Federally Qualified Health Centers like community health centers which are “important providers of prenatal care for many low-income women of all racial and ethnic groups.”

Most intelligent Ohioans realize the man ran with a hidden agenda. Oops, all the freshman GOP Govs. did. Go figure.

Wisconsin and Learning from Our Mistakes

WI Firefighters Spark “Move Your Money” Moment

On the day that the bill passed the Wisconsin Assembly effectively ending 50 years of collective bargaining in Wisconsin and eviscerating the ability of public unions to raise money through dues, a new front opened in the battle for the future of Wisconsin families.

Bagpipes blaring, hundreds of firefighters walked across the street from the Wisconsin Capitol building, stood outside the Marshall and Ilsley Bank (M&I Bank) and played a few tunes — loudly. Later, a group of firefighter and consumers stopped back in at the bank to make a few transactions. One by one they closed their accounts and withdrew their life savings, totaling approximately $190,000. See a video clip. After the last customer left, the bank quickly closed its doors, just in case the spontaneous “Move Your Money” moment caught fire.

The sedate, old fashioned M&I Bank on the Capitol Square has gained some notoriety in recent weeks. Oddly, a tunnel in the M&I parking garage links to the capitol basement. Dubbed the “rat hole” to the Walker palace, the tunnel was used by Governor Scott Walker to ferry lobbyists into the capitol building to hear his budget address during a time when the capitol was in a virtual lock down in defiance of a court order and after Sherriffs has quit the building refusing to be a “palace guard.”

Now the bank is getting caught up in the controversy again. Word is beginning to spread that M&I is one of Walker’s biggest backers. Top executives at M&I Bank have long been boosters of Walker. M&I Chief Executive Dennis Kuester and his wife gave $20,000 to Walker in recent years. When you package individual and PAC contributions by employers, M&I is number one — at $57,000 dollars. The firm apparently uses a conduit to bundle much of its money to Walker. Flyers, webpages, and Facebook sites have popped up encouraging WI consumers to boycott Walker campaign contributors and “Pull the Plug on M&I Bank.” Other banks whose employees have donated large sums to Walker, such as Associated Bank and North Shore Bank may also be seeing their customers soon.
