Southern Discomfort – Code Red

I need to read Marion’s post. I have had a death in my family, and haven’t been able to keep up with all the great posts lately.

But, seriously, yours was a great article. I look forward to your next one.

Friday Music Thread – Peace, Love and Taking It To The Man

Great one! I’ll never forget where I was the first time I heard this– One year before my husband was drafted to Viet Nam.
Yellowstone lake was beautiful that evening!

Exploring Morality

Thank you for posting those quotes. This is my favorite because is suggests a more inclusive consciousness :

The Great Law Of Peace: “All Things Are Our Relatives; What We Do To Everything, We Do To Ourselves. All Is Really One.”

Great post.

I’m sure someone has said this, too, but I’ve always said “Truth is where you find it!”

Race to the Bottom

I still think the majority of people hold these values. it’s the corruption in our government that has it’s taint on every aspect of our lives.

Guess the Oscars!

True Grit probably won’t win, but it was my favorite movie this year. I hope that 14 yr old Hailee Steinfeld wins Best Supporting Actress.

The King’s Speech was great as well. I bet it gets the most awards.

BudgetPOV: You are the Hand that Feeds You (and Your Family)

Nothing more to add. It’s just people don’t know you appreciate them unless you tell them. From your post, it sounded like you needed to hear that.

I was a nurse at Fort Lenard Wood, Mo, 1969, when I saw this movie in a theater crammed with new recruits. It was one of my life’s peak experiences! (and I’ve had a great life!)

» Posted By Gransview On February 25, 2011 @ 5:03 pm

Funny. This is the only movie I ever walked out on.
