Huffington Post Goes NSA on Its Members

This shows you that the site is actually being run by AOL because AOL makes it almost impossible to delete an account with them. It you’re trying to delete an account online, it’s not going to happen, doing through IM with an AOL worker, not happening. I know a couple of people that had to call their credit card company and tell them to not submit payment to AOL before they deleted their accounts. The credit card company required them to put in writing before they stopped payment. Really don’t know what purpose this serves but it really is annoying. I just stopped going to HP because I don’t want to give them the “clicks”.

I knew AH was an opportunist but I still sat and read the SHAME article with my mouth open. It goes to show you what a good PR person can do for a company, product or a person.

Very interesting articles in regards to HP.

Hello Everyone,
I’m a former HP blogger and I’ve been pretty disgusted with the changes made even before the latest debacle aligning with FB. I got pretty disgusted with the site during the Trayvon Martin murder before and after the trial. I read some of the most vile and vitriolic comments I have every read on a site that was suppose to have a liberal beginning. After flagging comments constantly and returning to the same thread a day or two later and the comment was still there it dawned on me that the trolls were probably invited on and were there to stay. Also, the trolls from the pharmaceutical industry putting out misinformation when ever someone dared challenge the validity of a drug or vaccine IMHO was dangerous so I’d not been visiting the site often. I look forward to interacting with members here. From what I’ve read so far, it’s going to be interesting.
