Americans' current confidence in Congress [7%] is not only the lowest on record, but also the lowest Gallup has recorded for any institution in the 41-year trend.

Studies of how much Americans understand the workings of the government at all levels show that most have only the vaguest idea of how bills become laws. Thus Obama's support among Hispanics has eroded because HE has not gotten immigration reform through Congress.

The idea that Obama did NOT do anything on LGBT equality is something that HP has been suggesting almost from the very beginning of his first term. The same goes for his record on job creation. At the very moment that his historic decisions were producing their first effects, HP was eagerly joining the GOTP choir that was crying 'Where are the jobs?'.

Throughout American history, Republicans have always stood for supporting the goals they speak up for...then attacking any Democrats who accomplish them!

First , let me say I am not a big fan of labels like "conservative" or "liberal". I believe they are misleading at best. Second, I have some questions and would appreciate some answers.

The House can vote the articles. The Senate can hold a trial. No conviction but does that matter?

POW trades have happened for almost all wars. Those who argue that we should not trade for our soldiers don't seem to understand that if we leave them and don't try to swap for them we will have trouble getting people to join the service.

Why isn't the Media all over the the New York Magazine Story of Lindsey Graham PLANTING the game changing 60 Minutes Story? If they don't, then we must.

It is hard to decide what is more horrible, that a major news network would rally for a mass shooting of law enforcement officers and citizens or that Right Wingers were literally giddy at the opportunity to "begin the revolution" by wanting to kill police in order to steal land and violate laws.
