President Obama will make his 2015 State of the Union speech tonight at 6:00pm PST and PlanetPOV will be hosting a Live Chat that will run simultaneously with his speech and the (now) three Republican rebuttals (known in some circles now as The Whiners Circle).

In the end, no one can maintain their power because of the inverse property of power, every action creates an equal and opposite reaction. Out of the total of 36% of eligible voters who voted in this year's election, even if Republicans averaged a 10% margin of victory over Dems overall (55% to 45%), that means only 19% of American voters voted for Republicans. So Democrats should be running scared because 81% of U.S. voters didn't vote for Republicans?

Capitalism is apparently a continuous merry go round of bubbles and then burst where the economy is concerned, but the too big to fail are bailed out by the too poor and too insignificant to matter when it comes to returning the economy to its former self.

What do you do now that Republicans won a wave election? Just what Republicans did when Democrats won wave elections in 2008 and 2012. Become intransigent and refuse to work with them because America made clear they want a President who'll block Republicans and represent their values. Easy peasy!

Too many Americans have become "dumb" voters, they vote on little more than emotion. They feel upset at DC so they knee jerk vote for the party that doesn't control the White House...even though it is the party they're voting for that has caused the problems that led to their being upset.

Democrats this election have done a good job attracting a lot of big on the record public donors, but Republicans appear to have the big advantage when it comes to big secret donors. $794 Million for the GOP vs. $463 Million for the Dems. That’s a $331 Million advantage for the GOP.
