Vox Populi, our weekly live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7:00pm PST. Hope to see you then!

See you soon, ad!
pinkpantheroz

See you then!
AdLib 21 days ago
Did you go invisible???
AdLib 21 days ago
There you are!
AdLib 21 days ago
Hey Harleigh!
AdLib 21 days ago
Hey PPO!
AdLib 21 days ago
Hi glenn!
AdLib 21 days ago
hi, all, how are things/
pinkpantheroz

Hey guys.
Harleigh

Things are well, PPO. Looking forward to some chilling aroound the holidays!
AdLib 21 days ago
Hi Ad, PPO, and Harleigh. How is everyone? Other than being cold, I’m okay.
glenn

How cold is it out everyone’s way this weekend?
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh–long time, no “see”. Are you working hard?
glenn

yes, ad, same here. a bit difficult to celebrate Christmas when it is 95degrees!
pinkpantheroz

going all the way down to 70 here tonite. I’ll need 2 cats
Harleigh

PPO – You forget, I’m in Cali. Xmas is often shorts weather out here.
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh – You might have to sleep with a blanket tonight!
AdLib 21 days ago
the aussies still insist on eating turkey, plum pudding and all that stodge!
pinkpantheroz

working but this week had colonoscopy, 1 day horrible prep, procedure day and the recovery day. yuck
Harleigh

sorry for you H Been there done that. Not nice
pinkpantheroz

See your bellly on telly
pinkpantheroz

lol.
Harleigh

PPO – It’s tradition! In the US, we may be serving borscht for Xmas from now on.
AdLib 21 days ago
It’s 36 degrees here. YUK! I really hate you guys! I got used to that warm weather at Christmastime, after all those years in Florida and the desert; so I miss having shorts weather for Christmas. Going down to Jupiter, FL for my oldest (step)granddaughter’s wedding after Christmas, so I’m looking forward to some warm weather. so
glenn

Well, some Orange concoction anyway, Ad. Pumpkin, perhaps?
pinkpantheroz

Sorry about that Harleigh, you doing okay now?
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh–it’s not the colonoscopy that’s bad; it’s that damn prep!
glenn

yeah but i’m working sat and sun to make it up
Harleigh

no shit!
Harleigh

I mean liquid shit! lol
Harleigh

Harleigh–exactly–no shit!
glenn

heaps of!
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Cool…or should I say warm…that you’re getting some vacation time in FL for the wedding!
AdLib 21 days ago
PPO – The Christmas toast will be with glasses of petroleum products.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–yes, but I just know it’s going to be hard to come back here. Every time I go to Florida lately, I keep thinking I need to buy a condo on the beach so I can go for the winter.
glenn

That’s not exactly a reward for having to go through that.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–petroleum products? What have I missed?
glenn

Ad, served with man-made ice, ’cause there’s none left in nature.
pinkpantheroz

glenn – That’s a good idea, a vacation condo in FL for the winter…you can always rent it out when you’re not there.
AdLib 21 days ago
glenn, get on to that mob who do the House hunters Programs. they’ll find you one!
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Just referring to how Trump is stocking his cabinet with oil company scum. Or would that be scumpany?
AdLib 21 days ago
PPO–right. “Beachfront LIving”. Love it.
glenn

glenn, soooo cheap compared to what houses cost here.
pinkpantheroz

PPO – Ice will be a luxury in the future. Especially for polar bears.
AdLib 21 days ago
PPO – And LA ain’t no bargain either.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–okay, got it. Sitting a little low in my seat tonight, so it went over my head. What a scumbag trump is! And his cabinet is a mess of scumbaggery. And his kids….coffee with Ivanka for $72,000? Hustlers, all of them!
glenn

floriduh is going underwater in the not too distant future.
Harleigh

PPO–yeah, the prices are good in some places.
glenn

Harleigh–that it is. Pretty soon almost everyone will have waterfront property!
glenn

Cons, the lot of ’em. Who would be so dumb as to pay that type of money for a coffee?
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Agreed but that’s the thing. The con won’t stand up for long with a good portion of Trump voters once he’s in office and all this horribleness finally commences.
AdLib 21 days ago
harleigh, at least that will prevent Florida being a consideration in future elections! Good!
pinkpantheroz

The core Trump voters are the ones who believe him when he pees on them and tells them it’s raining.
AdLib 21 days ago
I’m on the highest point in broward county west of ft lauderdale, 13 feet!
Harleigh

So, Ad, what do you think? Think the electoral college will deny trump the election?
glenn

Lucky bastard, H! You’ll own broward by the end of it.
pinkpantheroz

Wow, Harleigh! Do you get altitude sickness?
glenn

nope, they will vote trump
Harleigh

Harleigh – My best advice to those living in FL…stay high. Away from floods, that is.
AdLib 21 days ago
glenn I do when I go upstairs!
Harleigh

Harleigh–LOL!
glenn

Ad, I can’t figure why Fla. is so popular, being in the target zone for hurricanes
pinkpantheroz

warm winters
Harleigh

Good one, H!
pinkpantheroz

PPO–because the weather, except for the hurricanes, is beautiful, especially at this time of year.
glenn

OK
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Agree with Harleigh, the electors won’t and shouldn’t refuse to follow the election. That would be as bad a precedent as what’s happening in NC right now with the Repubs passing laws to prevent the Dem goov from having power.
AdLib 21 days ago
70 at night, 80 in the day
Harleigh

PPO–A lot of Florida’s population is snowbirds; people who go down in the winter and go back north in the summer.
glenn

Ah, right glenn. I can understand that.
pinkpantheroz

many snowbirds are canadians
Harleigh

PPO – glenn answered it, that’s exactly why. Still, it’s going to be riskier to own property on the coast there for rising seas issues on top of hurricanes.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–but wasn’t the electoral college specifically created for someone like trump? Someone who is not qualified to be president? As for NC, I’m just shaking my head at those antics! Talk about scumbags!
glenn

miami beach floods seawater all the time now. great for cars
Harleigh

watch out for those huge pythons!
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Out here, Palm Springs is like that during the winter, snowbirds head there from colder regions. Like the swallows to Capistrano.
AdLib 21 days ago
far west miami has the snakes
Harleigh

Harleigh–right about the Canadians. Many are from MIchigan also. Was up in the UP of Michigan this summer; I can see why they go back to MI for the summer. I was there 4th of July, and I had to wear a jacket to watch the fireworks!
glenn

glenn – Good point and the EC should functioon as a safeguard but our democracy has become so corrupted, it’s constantly a priority to not set precedents that extremist Repubs could exploit in the future. Not that they are always stopped by that but I could imagine the Repubs trying to use the EC to prevent Dems from taking the WH after they win purely for political purposes. If Dems support it first, it’s inevitable they’ll do it.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–the risk is one of the reasons I don’t buy that condo. It would be just my luck to buy one, and have it wiped out by a hurricane, or a flood, or both.
glenn

gubner scott has made it illegal for state employees to mention global warming and now nasa climate study funds are getting cut.
Harleigh

Harleigh – Used to visit Miami Beach for a period and liked it but I can imagine how severe the flooding damage is and will continue to worsen thanks to non-existent Climate Change.
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh – Well don’t let Trump come back to FL, he will fill up the swamps.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–I get what you’re saying about the extremist pubs, but they really don’t need a precedent to act like assholes. Just look at NC, and prior to that, their absolute hold on gerrymandering.
glenn

Alton and Lincoln roads are constantly flooding now with saltwater coming up thru the drains
Harleigh

Harleigh–speaking of your “esteemed” governor, when is he up for re-election? I forget, does FL have term limits on the governorship?
glenn

glenn – Actually, you do make a good point against buying a condo there. A bit to worry about there.
AdLib 21 days ago
I don’t know but state is very gerrymandered
Harleigh

Harleigh – It’s truly insane, Scott is like Nero fiddling while Rome burns and outlawing people from saying the word “fire”.
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh–oh geez! I used to teach in South Beach, right down the street from LIncoln Rd. That’s quite a main thoroughfare to be flooding all the time. But then again, there is no climate change nor is there anything wrong with infrastructure in a republican-led state.
glenn

pinkpantheroz

south florida water management said 20 years ago only 14 inches and it flows over into the glades and no more fresh water. less than a foot to go.
Harleigh

glenn – That’s true. The thing is, each party chooses electors and whoever wins has their own party’s electors voting. So realistically, that many Repub electors wouldn’t refuse to elect their own party’s nominee.
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh – That’s like a nightmare!
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh – This is Scott’s last term. So will Rubio be the next horrible FL gov?
AdLib 21 days ago
then saltwater eats up the pipes and powerline cable infrastructure.
Harleigh

Harleigh–I could never understand why FL had SFWM when governors never listened to them anyway, especially repub governors.
glenn

rubiturd maybe. it will be a POS no matter what.
Harleigh

Harleigh–adding on to Ad’s question–do you think FL will go to a Dem governor after 8 years of Scott? Is Crist still making noises down there?
glenn

crist will never make it again
Harleigh

Harleigh – It’s crazy but Repub run states are going kamikazi. Fighting against Climate Change, health care for their citizens, minimum wage, social safety nets. I think we may see the Repub-run states self-destructing like KS in blind allegience to BS policies against the public welfare. Populations could shift to northern states.
AdLib 21 days ago
red states all suck now for sure. midwest is the worst.
Harleigh

glenn – Agree with Harleigh that Crist is cooked in the state. He’ll never win a statewide election again I don’t think.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–I have a question about repubs and their form of “governship”. Do you know why repubs are so against Social Security and Medicare? I know why they’re against Obamacare, despite it actually being a republican program. It’s because Democrats passed it and they didn’t. I really believe it’s that simple. But I can’t figure out what they have against Social Security and Medicare.
glenn

Especially Social Security, since there are simple solutions that would make it solvent forever.
glenn

if they can SS and medicare floriduh will land with a thud and die almost immediately. Somehow FICA is the cause of all federal debt and deficits. SMFH
Harleigh

Harleigh – They will get the worst from Trump. Meanwhile, blue states may actually do better because when Trump slashes taxes, since red states typically take more than they pay and blue states pay more taxes than they get. It may unfotunately be necessary for many to suffer to kick Trump and the Repubs out of power.
AdLib 21 days ago
Harleigh–Agreed. I don’t understand how old people can be so stupid. I’m old, and I can’t believe people continue to vote for the party that wants to shred the social safety nets. People who depend on Social Security! As you say, SMFH!
glenn

glenn – Yes, the Repubs oppose the social safety net of SS, Medicare, Welfare, etc. because taxes go to pay for them and the wealthy pigs want an America where they don’t have to pay taxes.
AdLib 21 days ago
They may get swept out in 4 years but the shit going into this admin and the asshole congres will pretty much end murikkka. Russia and China will be the winners.
Harleigh

Ad–Not so sure that the suffering will get rid of repubs. They’ll just blame it on the Dems and the stupids will eat it up with a spoon!
glenn

canceling HC and medicaid will kill few million that actually voted for these assholes!
Harleigh

Harleigh – I wouldn’t go that far. The damage will be profound but the whiplash reaction by voters could usher in a more aggressively Progressive government that follows the Trump precedent to make big changes.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–but taxes don’t pay for Social Security. We do. I guess I can “understand” Medicare and welfare, bu jesus christ, do they want us to go back to kids begging in the streets? Don’t answer that; it looks as though that’s exactly what they want!
glenn

BRB
glenn

glenn – Yes, some Trump voters will never smarten up no matter how bad it gets but remember, only a bit over 100k voters made the difference that elected Trump. Just need to peel off a small percentage for Dems to win soolidly.
AdLib 21 days ago
Medicare and SS are not part of the general fund and have no effect on debt or deficits. medicare will go to ins companies and SS to the stack market/banks.
Harleigh

The losers will not get much treatment and will die.
Harleigh

glenn – Well, income tax dooesn’t pay for thoose programs but FICA and Medicare taxes on paychecks do. The wealthy want a federal government that does nothing for the people, doesn’t tax and can be dominated by the wealthy.
AdLib 21 days ago
time for bed…. later guys.
Harleigh

Night Harleigh! Sleep well!
AdLib 21 days ago
There’s no question that the poorer rural people that make up a lot of the Trump vote will be hit the hardest and one could argue, that they should be.
AdLib 21 days ago
Sorry folks, gotta go. this laptop needs replacing as it overheats and drops out. so off to the shops.
pinkpantheroz

Seeya PPO, take advantage of those Xmas deals on computers!
AdLib 21 days ago
Byeeee!
pinkpantheroz

Okay, Ad, I leave for five minutes, and everyone bails! Sorry I didn’t get to say g’night to Harleigh and PPO.
glenn

glenn – Without you, the life of the party is gone!
AdLib 21 days ago
At least in this weather, you get to sleep in on the weekends, no soccer games.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–You’re right about the wealthy not wanting to pay for anything except their own needs. But the wealthy did not put trump into the presidency. The rural poor did. It blows my mind that they did, but there it is. However, what do you reckon the rural poor thinks the purpose of government, either federal or state, is?
glenn

As much fun as it is to watch them play, sleeping in is good too!
AdLib 21 days ago
glenn – I don’t think they know how much of anything works. Remember how the Baggers howled, “Keep your government hands off my Social Security!”? They just follow the propaganda and repeat it.
AdLib 21 days ago
Au contraire, my friend. About the soccer games. My granddaughter is now playing in two leagues. One through her middle school–games are on the weekends. And the other one is an indoor soccer league–games are Saturday nights from 4:30-9:00. They only play one game a week, so the time can be any time between that.
glenn

The middle school games are outside. We just bring plenty of blankets for the spectators; the kids are running around, so the cold doesn’t bother them so much.
glenn

Ignorant people are dangerous. But they shouldn’t be normalized. Many Trump voters are ignorant, racist, misogynist. That should never be ignored. This is a social civil war we’re in and we’ve got the numbers to win as long as they’re motivated. There’s an old quote from The Cotton Club, “If you don’t know you’re in a war, you’ve already lost.” This is war and we shouldn’t goo soft and normalize the abnormal.
AdLib 21 days ago
I guess you’re right about the baggers not knowing much of anything. I remember seeing some of the interviews done in the rural south, and all they know is propaganda.
glenn

Well that’s great, I forgot about indoor stadiums! Outdoor games would be challenging though! In CA, it can get cold but not often enough for there to be a lot of indoor stadiums.
AdLib 21 days ago
I saw a poll that Kes linked to in a comment showing that most oof them think the stock market, employment and the economy all went down under Obama. They have no clue, no truths, they are in a bubble of lies and don’t even question it. This is a war we need to accept and fight against the beligerent and ignorant.
AdLib 21 days ago
There you are!
AdLib 21 days ago
Oops. Hit the wrong key and had to sign in all over again.
glenn

No worries!
AdLib 21 days ago
Yes, those polls are frustrating. I really think that the MSM is to blame for a lot of that misinformation, as well as foxnews, too. It’s all in the way they present the news. For example, even on a liberal site, the headline was about how trump reacted to josh earnest’s comments, instead of leading with josh’s comments. They lead with the negative, plus the comments are buried in the end of the story, and trump’s rantings are given most of the space.
glenn

Plus, the negative things said about Obamacare and the economy were given more space than the actual facts. It should have been headline news every day about how the stock market was going up and up, how unemployment and the deficit were going down and down. Instead, all we heard was what the republicans said about it. When news became a profit maker instead of a loss leader, the American people lost a lot, IMO.
glenn

Excellent point! I agree that a core reason for Trump winning was the MSM using his lies as headlines then only in the body of the article, questioning the truth of them…if questioning them at all or just describing them as equal opinions to the truth. However, these Trump cult members stay in their bubble, it’s only Fox News, Rush, Infowars, etc. They don’t care or know what the NY Times or CNN says.
AdLib 21 days ago
But, as you say, you are never going to change the minds of trump’s ignorant core supporters. The MSM should have been reporting the facts so that independent voters and even some Dems were given the facts, instead of rhetoric, or this g-damn “both sides do it.”
glenn

Hillary has some responsibility in this too, far less than the MSM but she didn’t use the debates to hoone a focused message about the success of Obamacare and his policies, she focused primarily on winning the debates and Trump as too risky.
AdLib 21 days ago
Agreed about Hillary. In her defense, she did try some during the debates to focus on the issues, but once again, what trump said about her personally was more important, in the reporting, than what Hillary said about the issues. I watched it time and time again, and the focus was always on what trump said.
glenn

Maybe it will turn out to be a constructive election because fo that. Who trusts the MSM now because of their immoral and greedy support of Trump? They will have to earn back viewers and trust by being better and more principled journalists. And it will be a ripe opportunity during the Trump disasters.
AdLib 21 days ago
And even the liberal sites did it, and as far as I’m concerned, are still doing it. They have devolved into name calling, and reporting on trump’s every utterance, instead of reporting on what the facts are. Some of them are trying; I like Talking Points Memo for their excellent reporting on what is happening with Obamacare; they are actually reporting on exactly what will happen with the pubs’ bills. But most of them are just blathering on about trump.
glenn

just blathering on about how horrible trump is.
glenn

Yes, it wasn’t easy for her to stay on message with Trump and the MSM flooding the airwaves with lies and propaganda. But that’s what she needed to do, blow up the lies with facts as opposed to calling Trump a liar. He is a liar but spending time on attacking him didn’t educate the ignorant about the truth of OObama successes.
AdLib 21 days ago
True. It was just a mess all the way around. She got caught up in trying to defend herself against trump, instead of taking the offensive. And, she tried to point out the differences between them, which I still think was a mistake. She should have just said what her policies were, and let the voters decide.
glenn

So true, I found HP a real terrible player in the election, dismissing Trump as a racist asshole in every article but not working hard to set the record straight and inform people. I don’t like HP for a variety fo reasoons but their “brilliant” strategy of just dissing Trump only lulled their readers into a false sense of confidence.
AdLib 21 days ago
In fact, the MSM’s ridicule and attacks on Trump only after the Repub primary, may have set up this false confidence aboout Hillary winning.
AdLib 21 days ago
Oh yeah! That false confidence translated to trump voters as arrogant and “elitist”. That was a big part of why trump won, IMO. They were determined to “show” those damn liberals that they should be heard. Dismissing them was a big factor in the trump victory.
glenn

Hey Beatlex! How are you?
glenn

This was an election where a candidate needed a simple populist message. Hillary had many detailed policies but she never had a simple focused message on what electing her meant.
AdLib 21 days ago
Hi Beatlex!
AdLib 21 days ago
Impeach upon the oath of office. He will no doubt be in violation of the constitution
Beatlex

Ad–exactly. Once again, though, in her defense, she was constantly being asked about what trump said, rather than about her policies. And, when she tried to answer with her policies, she was accused of not wanting to focus on what trump said. IOW, she was damned if she did and damned if she didn’t.
glenn

Agreed glenn, the “campaign” against Trump, the “deplorable” thing was a real motivator for his voters.
AdLib 21 days ago
Beatlex–he is already in violation of the Constitution. The worst part of impeaching trump is then we get pence, which isn’t any better. And might be a lot worse, because ryan and mcconnell will just lead him around by the nose.
glenn

Beatlex – Unfortunately, only The House can impeach and they’re RW Repubs who are thrilled about Trump as President. They even applaud the Russian hacking and love Putin for helping them. No impeachment will come but the majority of America will stand up and fight against Trump and Repubs after they see what he dooes.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad–maybe the silver lining to trump’s election is that may finally expose the repubs’ hypocrisy. Can you just imagine if the russians had decided to back Hillary? OMG, we’d be having hearings from now until eternity!
glenn

glenn – Agreed, the MSM cared primarily about the ratings and ad dollars Trump brought. But in the debates was her chance to break through and like Bill and the establishment Dem mentality, they just try to win on the margins and with clever insider tactics than campaign on a single, simple populist message.
AdLib 21 days ago
Sorry, incomplete thought. Expose the repubs’ hypocrisy to independents and hesitant Dems.
glenn

Ad–good point. She just had trouble staying on message.
glenn

glenn – I do think the pendulum will swing back just as strongly to the left after Trump’s one term. And the demographics will keep moving towards Dems by 2020, less Trump voters needed for them too win but many will defect.
AdLib 21 days ago
Should say…trouble staying on message. There was nothing “just” about it.
glenn

Ad–I hope you’re right. I just can’t imagine how screwed up trump’s presidency is going to be, or how much damage repubs will do the American public with their form of “governing.” I see NARAL has taken a page from the tea party’s book and come right out and told Dems that if they help repubs repeal Obamacare, they will be primaried. Good on ’em!
glenn

I think that it wasn’t even her plan to deliver that message. This is my issue with establishment Dems, they play these games instead of understanding that genuine passion for populist issues is more effective.
AdLib 21 days ago
Could be you’re correct. Genuine passsion for populist issues was what propelled Bernie so far.
glenn

Yes, all real Progressives and Dems should stand strongly for their principles and draw a bright line for any Dem pols who would empower Trump.
AdLib 21 days ago
Yes, we need to draw that line.
glenn

Okay, Ad, time for me to call it a night. Always enjoy your insights. Makes me think through mine. Take care, and have a good weekend.
glenn

Obama ran as a genuine populist. Against the war in Iraq, for universal healthcare. That worked well. Bernie did so much better than any could have predicted for that reason. The oold school politics of Jeb and Hillary are an uphill slog now because the public seems familiar with and tired of the machinations of party establishments.
AdLib 21 days ago
Same here, always enjoy our conversations!
AdLib 21 days ago
And, Beatlex, if you’re still here, a good night to you too!
glenn

I hope America wakes up,left and right,a moment of clarity is in order. The path you are on will surely lead to disaster. The R’s will turn on him,or you are in for a rough ride
Beatlex

I do think America will learn from this terrible mistake and make a big swing back to the left in 2020. Unfortunately, as you say, it will be a rough ride until we get there.
AdLib 21 days ago
I have had a sea change in my thinking about the importence of American discourse in MY life.I see nothing worth watching right now.Just in a train wreck kind of way,sad really…
Beatlex

I have fully boycotted American tv news since the election. I will dip a toe back in after the beginning of the year but my respect for the corporate MSM is in such negative territory.
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad,the Trump reign is bound to be a disaster, you don’t see him being brought down somehow?
Beatlex

I agree that Trump’s presidency will be the most reviled in American history but there are no tools to depose him aside from impeachment and Repubs control the House and won’t do that. However, as the country rises up against him, his power can be slashed with just 3 Repub senators siding with Dems.
AdLib 21 days ago
And Dems should be so energized to win in 2020 that it ought to be a landslide. Trump will make Bush’s ratings look good.
AdLib 21 days ago
I think his crimes will be to hard to ignore Ad.Even the R’s won’t be able to abide his idea of governance
Beatlex

I don’t know, the Repubs have proven that they will even cheer the Russians shaping our elections as long as it puts their party in power.
AdLib 21 days ago
They have no principles…though a few senators seem to be already pulling back from Trump and that’s good news.
AdLib 21 days ago
For how long? He is off the dial already.Public opinion will shape those spineless worms
Beatlex

Yes, I think the Senate will have Repubs moving against Trump but too many RW extremists in the House foor that to turn against Trump and impeach him I think.
AdLib 21 days ago
The Nixon affect? Hopefully
Beatlex

Yes except The House was willing to impeach Nixon.
AdLib 21 days ago
They may yet Ad.He has yet to do anything as President, and he is already in conflicts of interest
Beatlex

Maybe. I think though that The Senate is already looking like the best opportunity for Dems to block Trump.
AdLib 21 days ago
Somebody has to Ad.He could cause real damage. And I don’t think either party is game for that

There are a number of Repubs including Tea Partiers that really do want to tear down the federal government. But when public opinion ooverwhelming turns against him, maybe there will be a change in the House’s attitude oon impeachment.
AdLib 21 days ago
He has shown that he won’t play by the normal rules of the establishment. They will prevail.Trump cannot possibly keep his promises to his base
Beatlex

Considering that all of his promises were lies, it is literally impossible for him to accomplish any of them. He will lie and cook the numbers to BS everyone about how he’s kept his promises but you can’t convince people without a job that they have a job.
AdLib 21 days ago
You can fool most of the people most of the time…..you know how this saying ends
Beatlex

Exactly. The con job works well in a vacuum but exposed to the light in the real world of real actions and consequences, it will all blow up in his face.
AdLib 21 days ago
I am serious that I think that he will be impeached. He is a bridge too far for the right to go along with. They would LOVE President Pence
Beatlex

Pence could be even worse than Trump. But as a friendly bet, I would wager one chocolate chip cookie with you that The Hoouse will never impeach Trump. I could be wrong but I don’t overestimate the lack of morals of House Repubs.
AdLib 21 days ago
He is going to be an utter disaster Ad! It is plain to see
Beatlex

Plain to see by us and every rational person around the world. The Trump Cult hasn’t a clue, they believe he walks on water.
AdLib 21 days ago
That has a shelf life I am sure Ad,The Russian meddling is a case in point. They are walking it back
Beatlex

What do you mean, who’s walking the Russian hacking back?
AdLib 21 days ago
The Trump team is.Trump has said earlier that it was the Dems leaking it
Beatlex

Isn’t Trump still claiming “no one knows” who hacked the Dems?
AdLib 21 days ago
His team is starting to walk it back, having parroted Trump yesterday.Nuance,
Beatlex

I saw where Conway accused the Dems of undermining “the transfer of power” by protesting and wanting to investigate what everyone knows, that the Russians did the hacking. They want the transfer of power to go smoothly to Russia!
AdLib 21 days ago
Ad,They have no clue as to how to lead the most powerful nation on earth.THAT is the scary part
Beatlex

And putting billionaires in control of most everything in his cabinet? That’s what the Trump Cult wanted?
AdLib 21 days ago
That will become obvious to even his dumbest of fans in time.
Beatlex

I think you’re right to a point, I think a big portioon of his voters will becoome upset and discouraged but some oof his voters are so unbelieveably ignorant, they will blame UFOs, the liberal media and Bigfooot for all the Trump disasters while continuing to lick his boots. But it will be a very small portion of voters.
AdLib 21 days ago
BUT Ad,He does not have anywhere near a majority of support.
Beatlex

Nope, just had enough to beat an underperforming Hillary. But by 2020? He’d be lucky to get the 30% who are diehard Repubs.
AdLib 21 days ago
What surprised me Ad,was Hilly ignoring Wisconsin and the `rust belt“ states, big mistake.Hillary was not a good messenger
Beatlex

Hillary has always been a poor campaigner. She lost a shoe in to Obama who was 50 points behind her in the December before the primary, nearly lost to Bernie who was a virtual unknown then lost to Trump, the worst Repub candidate probably in history. She was not a winner going in and looking back, it’s less and less surprising that she lost. She came into both primaries acting as though she was entitled to the nomination and acted the same in the GE. Not campaigning in the Rust Belt reflects that smug sense of entitlement that defeated or nearly defeated her repeatedly. There were many factoors why she lsot but this was one of the key ones.
AdLib 21 days ago
Opportunity lost.Biden or Bernie would have won
Beatlex

Yep. I completely agree. All Dems needed was a candidate Dems and working people could connect with. Being honest, Trump connected with voters because of his crass bigotry, Hillary is far more ethical but came off as distant and elite…as well as untrustworthy. Biden or Bernie would have hit that note, pulled enough of those who were mainly voting against Hillary to beat Trump. This is what happens when an establishment elite forces a nominee on a party that doesn’t really want that candidate. Lack of enthusiasm is deadly.

Back to the drawing board Ad! Not for me and you primarily, but supplementary, always good talking to you Ad.Goodnight
