Okey doke!
AdLib 7 days ago
Don’t forget to say “Hi!” or Trumpsplosion!” when you arrive!
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey Murph!
AdLib 7 days ago
Hi Ad….
MurphTheSurf3

What’s going on?
AdLib 7 days ago
Recovering from a prolonged illness…nearly a month
MurphTheSurf3

I was wondering if something was up. You were asked about last week here.
AdLib 7 days ago
How are you feeling now?
AdLib 7 days ago
I had the worst reaction I have ever had to Pollen which became bronchitis and a viral infection….sick, sick, sick.
MurphTheSurf3

Sounds horrible!
AdLib 7 days ago
Are you over the infection?
AdLib 7 days ago
Recovering is the best word. Slow….I am close to giving up on a planting season this year.
MurphTheSurf3

The infection lingers per blood tests….
MurphTheSurf3

Hey Murph–So sorry to hear about your illness; so glad you decided to visit with us this week! Hey Ad!
glenn

Your health has to come first. Damn, I assume you on anti-viruls?
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey glenn, good to see you!
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–what’s up with the new login system? I had to prove I was a human to log on tonight!
glenn

Hi Glenn. Thanks for the good words.
MurphTheSurf3

Yes I am Ad.
MurphTheSurf3

Glenn and Ad I got on tonight without a bit of problem….that was nice.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–Since I hadn’t seen you on the Planet for a while, I had asked Ad about you last week. I am so sorry to hear you may not be able to do your planting. I know how much you love your plantings!
glenn

I see so much vitriol from both sides,it starts to seem the same.I was under the impression that progressives were better than the right when it came to civility. I think it is fine to disagree with Hillary Clinton without demonizing her.But many here “HATE HER,AND WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HER!! The unflattering photos and the utter contempt.Remember that the progressive movement is just that, progressive. What Bernie is asking for is radical change. That is cool,IMO Hillary will govern more to the left than you think. But change comes slowly in America. I could be wrong….?
Beatlex

glenn – It’s not a new login, you accidentally logged in as “glen” missing the “n” so our anti-spam software did the double check. Won’t happen again. BTW, I know this only because the system notifies me when there’s a failed login.
AdLib 7 days ago
Glad to hear it was smooth getting on Vox tonight, Murph!
AdLib 7 days ago
I do love it, Glenn. I may be just doing ornamentals this year but the doctors have not cleared me for outside work at all.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–Oops! I must be reading about republicans too much; blaming everyone else for my own stupidity!
glenn

Good Friday evening fellow Planeteers! Hope your week has gone well.
kesmarn

Beatlex – I spent part of the day on a pro-Hillary site and found the same kind of heated rhetoric against Bernie and his supporters as I have seen on some pro-Bernie sites. As you say, it is identical in-fighting on both sides. Unfortunately, it’s to be expected and far from unusual. I do think that as usual, the hostility will subside once the GE gets going.
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey Kes! Hey Bealtex!
glenn

Hey Kes! Hope all is well with you!
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn – Not at all, even I make mistakes on logins! And we are definitely not like Repubs because we admit them and learn from them.
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey, glenn! AdLib and all! Springtime in Ohio. I had gotten some tree saplings for my son (his request) and put them in individual pots outside: cherry, apricot, blueberry, elderberry and red currant. They’re doing great!
kesmarn

Beatlex–I agree with you about the so-called progressives who say they will never vote for Hillary. I do think a lot of them are millenials who just haven’t been around long enough to understand what a disaster trump or cruz would be. I’m not trying to be condescending; but I think a lot of people will come around when November rolls around.
glenn

The politics of emotional contention is on all sides……and the no-info, low-info, false-info culture of so many voters uses that in place of substance…It is a perfect formula for the kind of interaction we see now.
MurphTheSurf3

I expect Bernie will follow through on his promise not to run on a 3rd party ticket and will endorse Clinton. That will prove his integrity and a lot of folks will take their cue from that.
kesmarn

I was at the doctors office….actually there a lot….and I got pulled into a discussion about what Sanders supporters should do….My response was simple: decide who you do not want to be President and do what you have to to make sure that does not happen.
MurphTheSurf3

Kes – How cool!!! My small “crops would compliment yours. Have growing a variety of tomatoes, corn, beans, peas, broccoli, onions and more! Small amounts of each but love fresh veggies! And the artichokes are coming up!
AdLib 7 days ago
Of course, Boehner is predicting that Joe Biden will parachute in at the last minute and take the nom… with Obama’s blessing. Hmmmm…. is it the Merlot?
kesmarn

Wow! AdLib what a great garden! We have some tomato seedlings coming up too here.
kesmarn

Kes, Bernie has made several very straightforward statements that whoever wins the nomination will be supported by the other and that he will work as hard for her and he would expect her to work for him.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad…I am envious.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–the anonymity of the internet doesn’t help as far as civility goes, either.
glenn

Yes, Murph, one of the things I admire about Bernie is that he seems to be a man of his word. And he really has transformed the conversation in this campaign.
kesmarn

glenn – Yes, what many don’t recognize is that many of those legit Bernie supporters (excluding the Repub Trolls posing as Bernie supporters) are not Democrats, they are Independents so they may not feel any loyalty to the Dem Party. But I guarantee that there will be very few Bernie supporters not voting Dem in Nov!
AdLib 7 days ago
Glenn…absolutely.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad…I concur with your analysis.
MurphTheSurf3

Everyone see how folks out here in Cali are going nuts protesting Trump. He is really hated out here, maybe 70% unfavorable? I don’t like the violence though, it does show how hatred can breed hatred.
AdLib 7 days ago
Kes–I hope you’re right. We don’t need another third-party disaster like we had with Nader.
glenn

I saw that 17 were arrested in Orange County, AdLib. The man does know how to polarize. Do you all think Hillary will pivot back to the right in the general election campaign?
kesmarn

Murph – It is a natural syndrome that people in both parties are going through. Sometimes it resolves, sometimes it tears the party apart long term. I think Dems will patch things up but Repubs will be torn asunder for some time to come.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn, a number of his supporters are really hoping he’ll run as an Indie, but I don’t see him breaking his word.
kesmarn

Ad…I am always suspicious of those who turn to violence…..in general in my experience they are opportunists and generic troublemakers….
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–I do hope you’re right about the Bernie supporters. IMO, though, Bernie has to put his full force behind electing Hillary, if she is the nom. I also think that would be a good thing and would help to pull her left.
glenn

Glenn Bernie has promised to do just that.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–I am in favor of the protestors; I am not in favor of the violence. That just trump and his minions ammo for their victimhood.
glenn

Kes – Absolutely, Bernie is not someone who would assist a Trump Presidency nor is he foolish enough to think anything positive could come out of running 3rd party. He’d be seen as a saboteur to the Dem Party and would be blamed for a Trump Presidency. No way, he has power in the Dem Party now and I think he could help change it to a more overall Progressive party.
AdLib 7 days ago
I think that if I were Bernie, I’d campaign as long as possible — even to the convention. He has a lot of political capital now and I hope he uses it. He’s in a position to bargain and he should.
kesmarn

And Bernie wants to be a mover and a shaker in the next Senate…..working for Hillary is working for him and his causes.
MurphTheSurf3

Hah! I think we said almost the same thing, AdLib! He has some real clout now. All those huge rallies meant something after all!
kesmarn

BTW, by duplicating “o”s seem to have stopped! OOOOH yeah!!! Er…uh oooh.
AdLib 7 days ago
Kes–I agree; I think by “losing” the primary, Bernie has still won. He has made the Dem “leaders” defend their positions; and has even made them redefine what “progressive” means. Good for him! I do hope Hillary continues to use humor and empathy in her campaign. I love, love, love the “woman card” she just came out with! It’s absoloutely priceless, IMO>
glenn

Kes – Nothing beats fresh tomatoes. Store tomatoes, especially supermarket, no matter how organic or on the vine they are, never have the taste and texture of fresh grown.
AdLib 7 days ago
Kes, he will multiply his power working with Hillary…..looking to a Democratic Senate…..where he wants to be a real influence….Hillary will owe him a lot
MurphTheSurf3

I do think the DNC has to show just a smidgen of humility now though and start listening to millennials and other groups that they’ve dismissed.
kesmarn

Kes–great minds think alike! I said essentially the same thing above about the DNC becoming more progressive. I still think we have to get rid of Debbie, though!
glenn

Murph – I plant a lot of different things but small amounts of each in a corner garden, sounds far more impressive than it is. Still, I really enjoy it, I know how you must get so much satisfaction over farming on a much larger scale. And you’ll be at it again, just take the time to get better now so you can. More seasons will be coming!
AdLib 7 days ago
Murph–Good point–don’t we always “multiply our power” by working together?
glenn

glenn, I think Bernie may come away from this whole messy season with a truly golden reputation. He’s one of the most trusted people in politics and there may come a day when he feels that this all turned out for the best for him and Jane. I don’t think Hillary will be walking into a perfectly lovely situation by any means.
kesmarn

Thanks for the words of support, Ad
MurphTheSurf3

Agreed on getting rid of Debbie W-S, glenn! Talk about tone-deaf.
kesmarn

Glenn, we do.
MurphTheSurf3

Kes–I agree. Bernie is becoming one of the most trusted people in politics; if he and Warren stay together in the Senate, they would make a formidable team to keep Hillary on track, I hope!
glenn

Kes – I think Hillary sure had planned to move back to the center right in the GE but Bernie’s performance in the primaries and the enthusiasm he’s built up makes that a lot harder for her to do now. I think she may get more hawkish but it will be much harder for her to move centrist oon social and economic issues. In a way, she has painted herself into a very left corner.
AdLib 7 days ago
I hope so too, glenn. I have to say — if she backtracks or buckles, she will be a one-termer with a record low approval rating.
kesmarn

Murph–I second Ad’s sentiments. Please continue to work on getting better so you can have many more planting seasons–maybe even be able to salvage something from this one!
glenn

I agree, AdLib. She will look like just what people have accused her of being if she folds on her more progressive primary positions.
kesmarn

Kes – I think many Repub Trolls are joining the small contingency of “Bernie or Bust” supporters in clamoring for an indie run. But they are a fraction oof Bernie supporters, he knows it would be political suicide to do so.
AdLib 7 days ago
Right! He’s an idealist, but he also is no fool, AdLib!
kesmarn

Thanks Glenn
MurphTheSurf3

Ad and Kes–as much as we complain about the complexities and problems with the primary process; in this case, it has proved to be a good thing by making Hillary “accountable” for the positions she has taken in the primary due to Bernie’s positions (if that makes sense).
glenn

glenn – Right with you. There is a little satisfaction I must admit at Trump reaping what he has sewed but in the end, violence on any side in elections is flat out wrong.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, kids, this has been a crazy week, so I may have to call it a day. Have a great weekend, everyone! More primaries coming up this week. Lucifer in the Flesh will give it the old hellish try one more time!
kesmarn

Ad–I think if Dems and progressives are going to show that there is a difference between the two parties, one of the ways is to show that violence is not the answer; talking and reasoning is always much better.
glenn

Kes – Agreed! Bernie, along with Elizabeth Warren will be two of the most influential and powerful Senators next Congress and if Dems win back the Senate as I think they will, that will make for big things.
AdLib 7 days ago
Kes–G’night. Nice chatting with you tonight. Lucifer and his hellish VP pick!
glenn

Hey PPO–how are you doing tonight?
glenn

It’s deja vu all over again!
pinkpantheroz

LOL! Wasn’t that pathetic? Please, Carly, don’t ever sing in public again! G’night once more!
kesmarn

‘night, kes. Oh, was that supposed to be singing? I thought it was some Masonic sectert stuff
pinkpantheroz

Well, Bernie or Hillary, start picking the drapes and wallpapers
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Trump is so deluded to think being a chauvinist can help his campaign! 70% of women already dislike him, he’ll be at 80% by next month. Impossible to even be competitive with those numbers. What Trump and the MSM are clueless aboout is that the Trump hatefest/namecalling has worked well only with the Repub base. It can’t be replicated in a GE with voters who aren’t such hateful rubes.
AdLib 7 days ago
BRB folks
glenn

hey folks! Heat won. yay. lol
Harleigh

hey, Harleigh!
pinkpantheroz

Big week in election land.
Harleigh

Remember that group of women who voted for Obama in 2012 despited being tried and true GOP- the Lysistrata Ladies—- I keep in contact and they despise Trump and the leader of the group says that they have told their husbands that there will be no signs and no car stickers that support him.
MurphTheSurf3

Kes – Yes, Hillary is on the verge of making a huge mistake. She and the DNC should not act like the new rulers to whom Bernie and his followers should bow down to, they should be smarter than that and show humility, earnestly having a conversation with Bernie supporters and indie voters on wanting to earn their support. Showing some humility now would put her in the WH with a far bigger majority than demanding loyalty from the losing side.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad…I agree.
MurphTheSurf3

I been watching the RWNJ sites and Benghazi went to behind the back burner. lol
Harleigh

BRB
pinkpantheroz

Cool, Harleigh!
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh…the Benghazi committee has not asked the DOJ to launch an investigation based on claim from an unknown person on facebook that they have inside info regarding the aborted rescue mission…..
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Those ladies fascinated me. Very cool to hear that update. I think Trump could lose far bigger than we imagine when you consider all the Repub men and especially women who are coming out to say they absolutely won’t vote for him. I can’t remember this ever happening with a Repub nom, can you?
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh….I meant to say “now” not “not”
MurphTheSurf3

Ad….if anything they are far more outraged this time around…..as one of the ladies said recently “Every idiotic, loud mouthed, woman despising man I know has a Trump sticker…..that cannot be allowed to stand.”
MurphTheSurf3

Harleigh and Murph–I read today that the DOD has also asked the Benghazi committee to quit wasting their time.
glenn

those folks are so stupid and after 3 and a half years and 60 hearings, investigations and commissions have NOTHING!!! all smoke.
Harleigh

Glenn…that’s the sotry.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–good for the Lysistrata ladies! Tell ’em I said, “You go, girls!”
glenn

glenn – What I would really like to see is Bernie using his power to force the DNC to hold open primaries nationwide. Consider that it is such an easy way to really enlarge the Dem Party while the GOP shrinks. If the Dems welcom Indies into the process, they will vest themselves in the Dem Party and whether they call themselves Dems or not (like Bernie before this run), they’ll vote for Dems. Dem Party has about 35% of voters, GOP about 25%, the rest are indies. If Bernie can wrest control away from the Dem Elite and make that kind of change in the party, Dems will start winning on a much bigger scale.
AdLib 7 days ago
Glenn, they impress me everytime I see them.
MurphTheSurf3

those baggers still think that 150 FBI agents are actively pursuing criminal investigations!!! LOL
Harleigh

Murph – Do you think this election may not only damage the GOP party internally but drive a number of Repubs to become Dems, sort of like a reversal of the Reagan Democrat thing?
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–a wonderful idea! You shoud write to the DNC and suggest it. It shows inclusiveness, and also keeps the repubs from thwarting Dem voters in the primaries like they did in Arizona.
glenn

glenn – Not only that but consider that the ultimate nominees or primary winners would be elected from a majority of Dems and indies, would be widely appealing and start off with a base that Repubs alone could not beat.
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh–does anyone really know what is happening with the FBI investigation? And why oh why is it taking so long? WTH are they investigating after all this time? What seems to be the problem?
glenn

Harleigh – The Repubs know they have nothing in Benghazi, the game is to just keep the investigatioon alive to hang over her head. That’s all they’ve got and they know it.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad…hard to say…..here in Mo. Trump won handily but every GOP mainstreamer I know despises the man….I think what is going to happen is that there will be muted support for Trump and the energy of the party will be directed to holding the Senate, holding the House super majority, and expanding state based power.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–I may not be as astute as Murph when it comes to politics, but I think that “dyed-in-the-wool” repubs may not turn to the Dem party; they may, however, register as Independents rather than repubs.
glenn

glenn – Don’t know the details of the FBI investigation, they are keeping it confidential, but I believe the real count is around 4 agents on the case. Sorry Repubs!
AdLib 7 days ago
Murph – But I would guess that a demoralizing, built-in loser as their Presidential nom will suppress overall turnout, the average voter doesn’t get excited about Senate races alone.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–Is there really a difference between what Hillary did with her emails, etc. and what former Secretaries of State did? If so, what is it? If not, are they being investigated also?
glenn

The RWNJ beieve if no charges on HRC for some of her hundreds of felonies and treason them Obama is the part of the plot to let HRC bribe the DOJ…. bla bla bla… and no they have nothing.
Harleigh

Ad…have you a prediction regarding that investigation.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–my prediction is it will be over when Hillary becomes president!
glenn

Ad…the GOP is just so much more disciplined than the Dem and they come out with greater regularity and a case will be made that the GOP must hold the Senate “just in case” they lose the WH….wink wink
MurphTheSurf3

glenn – True, the blindly faithful Repubs couldn’t be moved but I wonder about the reasonable people who are Repubs out there just from adopting their party from their parents oor region, the non-passionate Repubs, especially women. I wonder if they will continue to see the half-right views of Trump supporters that the pols in their party play them for fools and betray them…and recognize that Trump is part of that as well. Maybe they will see that voting Dem is a far better way to get back at them.
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh…my guess is that you are right…..in terms of HRC personally.
MurphTheSurf3

HRC inherited a mess at State from Powell and Rice.they both used private email for work. Powell said that it’s a phony charge.
Harleigh

Harleigh–You got it. I had a “discussion” with a rwnj on a blog recently, where he kept referring to Hillary as the “criminal”. I kept pointing out to him that in order to be a criminal, you have to be convicted of something. I wasn’t the only one, either. Of course, in true rwnj “responsibility”, he never answered any of us who were asking him exactly what court Hillary had been convicted in. I told him that the “court of republican opinion” does not count!
glenn

glenn – Nope, Colin Powell used a private email address, no difference. This is plain an simple, a nothing case that goes nowhere.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I hate to sound like a republican, but then what the hell is the FBI investigating?
glenn

Glenn…good comeback…the court of republican opinion…nice.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I think the investigation will wag a finger at using a private server and the dangers it posed…but it wasn’t hacked and I don’t think anything will be found to be done that was unlawful.
AdLib 7 days ago
The baggers believe lots of way out weird shit and argue for it like it’s true. dumbasses
Harleigh

Murph–thanks.
glenn

Ad….I agree…and part of that agreement lies in what I have read a number of times….the DOS internal security has been awful for so long that private servers were a work around….I suspect the FBI will call for that to be addressed….
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I know the Repub faithful will come out but there are lots of moderate Repub voters out there and many who only come out when they are energized. I think they are in danger of losing those voters.
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh–kinda like they believe that transgender people are “coming for their daughters” in the bathroom!
glenn

Moderate GOP…..know very few of those Ad.
MurphTheSurf3

well there have been more ex speakers of the house get outed as peophiles than trans people and how would anyone know?
Harleigh

glenn – I think there are multiple reasons. The primary reason is that Hillary has been accused of sharing top secret info. They have to investigate that knowing she had emails with data on a private server. Secondly, the Obama Admin can’t let this look like a coverup, especially when nothing wrong has been done so they need this investigatioon for political reasons too.
AdLib 7 days ago
Murph–it never ceases to amaze me that repubs only see a problem with something when a Dem does what a repub has already done. Why wasn’t the DOS security addressed when Powell and Rice used their private email servers? You don’t have to answer; that’s a rhetorical question, or a question to which I already know the answer–IOIYAR!
glenn

Glenn…precisely.
MurphTheSurf3

I really never heard of any problems with bathrooms before the repubs caused the problem… like voter fraud.
Harleigh

Murph – I think the data on Hillary’s private server may have been safer since hackers have hacked into the DoD’ server.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well All…I need to be in bed by 10:30 so I shall sign off…night meds to take.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad…exactly.
MurphTheSurf3

Goodnight.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – We have a number of moderate Repubs out here in Cali, I know some in TX, they’re out there. They aren’t very prominent or vocal, may not even admit to being Repubs but Trump can’t afford to lose any Repubs and many have already announced they won’t vote for him.
AdLib 7 days ago
Night Murph! Take care, pal!
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh–exactly. Transgender people have been using public restrooms since we have had transgender people and no one has has a problem until repubs decided we have a problem. Saw an “ad” the other for a “dick detector” to prevent those “dickish” people from using the restroom! Of course, the only people who need them are dicks!
glenn

Ad…may there be many more…..moderate GOP.
MurphTheSurf3

Good night Murph. Take your meds and get well soon!
glenn

Murph – Actually, they are a dwindling number, the GOP is more and more the party of anarchists, racists and religious extremists. You know, a minority of Americans.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn the state of the art in 2000 is way back in dinosaur days… HRC went into a real backward dept and installed a 2007 server. they are investigating the emails but none were ever received or sent with any classification
Harleigh

Hey my American friends! I have not forgotten you! I just have some personal things I am working on.I am still somewhat engaged.TRUMP? REALLY? New low in American politics
Beatlex

Ad–given the state of the republican party and the state of some states, why aren’t those moderate repubs speaking out? Or are their voices just being drowned out by the nut jobs?
glenn

Tiptoeing between the Tea Party and moderates is very scary, so don’t say anything that might cost you a vote
pinkpantheroz

Beatlex–hopefully, our election in November will prove that only a tiny minority of us have sunk to a new low and trump will be sent packing “never to be heard from again”. At least that’s what he promised!
glenn

If a repub in a weak seat speaks out they get primaried by a bagger. Lots depends on the down ticket races.
Harleigh

Harleigh–thanks for the clarification. As usual, repubs screw it up, and Dems get blamed for trying to fix it.
glenn

Has anyone noticed that things like Wall and Immigration are no longer being mentioned? hmmmmm
pinkpantheroz

So the GOP is being successful at passing only one type of law, the type that solves problems that don’t exist. Voter ID, men going intoo little girls’ bathrooms and women who get abortions and need their doctor to have admitting privileges at hospitals. Next up, a law making it legal to hunt Bigfoot!
AdLib 7 days ago
Though you’re tied up with other things, good to see you here Beatlex!
AdLib 7 days ago
hi beat! same here, dealing with legs and stuff. Hope you’re OK
pinkpantheroz

Ad–repubs are also getting quite successful at using taxpayer money to investigate their own stupidity. And using taxpayer to finance stupid shit like the “ark musuem” and here in GA., private entities like baseball stadiums. You know, same old shit, different day.
glenn

glenn – I think the moderate Repubs out there are a minority in their party and don’t like to stand out. The RW would hammer them for doubting any of the GOP dogma and they know it. Maybe not the bravest folks out there but perhaps the ones that Dems could court and win over.
AdLib 7 days ago
That ark thing in KY is a frickin HOOT!
Harleigh

Ad–Dems have to be careful when trying to win over those moderates. I hope Hillary does not “go nuclear” and uses, as Kes says, some humility in winning them over.
glenn

I have faith that Trump will lose.He is on the wrong side on to many issues, pissing off important voting blocks
Beatlex

PPO – Actually, Trump uses “The Wall” at every speech, it’s a gimmick now for him. He tells the morons in the audience, “We’re gonna build a wall and who’s gonna pay for it?” and they yell back, “Mexico!” It’s like watching a kiddie stage show.
AdLib 7 days ago
Harleigh–isn’t is just? Lots of people commenting on how Noah used power tools and Tyvex to build his ark, since this one is supposed to be an “exact replica”.
glenn

Barnum and Baily stuff AD
Beatlex

Beatlex–well trump does tout himself as “the greatest show on Earth”!
glenn

glenn – Yep, that Ark thing out there is just loony! The irony is that it could be destroyed by a storm or flood from Climate Change!
AdLib 7 days ago
True, Beat. Not getting too many Trump speeches here, Thank Goodness. Media here looking with fascinated horror at the US just now

PPO–the media in Australia are not the only people who are looking with fascinated horror at the US right now. I cannot believe the nonsense that is coming out in these primaries! It’s like a long national nightmare!

glenn – I was mentioning the importance of humility for Hillary moving forward and I do think that could start to attract disaffected moderate Repubs. They see enough oobnoxious self-importance from Trump, humility would be a welcome antidote for them I’d guess. That’s how I mean she should court them, by coming off as fair minded even if they disagree with her. I think they probably disagree with Trump on most things too so maybe this is an opportunity?

Ad–sure hope so. As you said earlier, the difference between repubs and Dems is that at least Dems try to learn from their mistakes!

True, glenn. But Australia has a dog in the fight because of US bases and airfields in Northern Australia keeping the Pacific peaceful. Having someone like Herr Drumpf ass CIC is downright terrifying

Consider this, if Trump loses yuugely to Hillary in the GE, as I am confident will be the case, and if the Senate at least goes back to Dems, how devastated will Trump be at being a yuuge loser? How devastated will the GOP be having to come to grips with the fact that their party has been taken over by lunatics who have damaged their brand? And how much will the GOP be in shreds and in a civil war as elites attack the RWs who supported Trump and hate them? The future for Dems is bright, for Repubs is a massive disaster.

PPO – Tell folks there from The Planet not to worry, Trump’s popularity is ezaggerated by the MSM because his candidacy is printing money for them. The reality is, he has no way of winning. Not a single poll has ever shown him with the potential to beat Hillary.\

Ad, the GOP may no longer exist after next november. Here’s hoping anyway. I’m concerned that trump supporters and those nutjob militias might resort to a form of civil war and become violent.

PPO – They saw what the Feds did to the RW nutjobs who tried too rebel against the US by taking over that shack in OR. Best way to get rid of them, let them rebel then go to prison.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad, hopefully that lesson has been learned and that the Bundys of the US keep their heads down and skulk away.

When the GE begins, I think it will become very clear that Trump has no way to win. And imagine whoever his VP pick is will hurt him one way or another. If it’s an extremist, he’s in trouble. If it’s not, the VP will be handicapped by not being able to say he/she is principled by wanting Trump as President.

G’day, PPO. Feel better and better!
