Happy Friday! Vox Populi is coming your way tonight at 7:00pm PST tonight. A lot to talk about, last night’s Dem debate, the changing GOP picture and the upcoming New Hampshire primary on Tuesday! Hope to see you here!
AdLib 7 days ago
Don’t forget to say “Hi!” or “Trumptastrophe” when you arrive!
AdLib 7 days ago
Trumptastrophe! How are you, Ad?

glenn

Hi glenn!
AdLib 7 days ago
I’m doing well, how are you?
AdLib 7 days ago
What did you think of the debate last night?
AdLib 7 days ago
Ahh, mostly same old, same old, but I’m already tired of cold weather, and it’s only Feb.!

glenn

Hang in there!
AdLib 7 days ago
I think it covered a lot of substance, as usual for the Dem debates. Hey did you notice Chuck Toad asked my question about being each other’s vice presidents? What did you think of their answers? I think Hillary is more willing to consider it than Bernie is.

glenn

What’s up docs and docesses?

KillgoreTrout

Hey KT–how are you?

glenn

Nice sunny 86 today! Hi All

pinkpantheroz

Pretty good glenn, and you?

KillgoreTrout

Hey Pink!

KillgoreTrout

PPO–I’m jealous. Right now it’s 36 and I HATE cold weather!

glenn

chuck toad is an asshole

pinkpantheroz

KT–see my answer to PPO. I’m just not a cold weather person.

glenn

Well, glenn, in July I’ll be shivering. It does get cold in Australia

pinkpantheroz

Wow! Jeb Bush is hitting the panic button in a last gasp, he’s releasing a commercial with George W. praising him…and wait for it…they bought time to air it during the Superbowl! Here it is:

Right to Rise Ad: George W. Bush
Right to Rise Ad: George W. Bush

AdLib 7 days ago
glenn, you live in the south, right?

KillgoreTrout

PPO–agreed about Chuck Toad.

glenn

Evening KT and PPO!
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey Ad.

KillgoreTrout

Desperate ploy from Jeb. His old man hasn’t the best reputation, now, has he? at least he hasn’t been indicted, yet

pinkpantheroz

PPO – In the 70’s here in LA…but I feel guilty for broadcasting that.
AdLib 7 days ago
PPO–I know. I just want to live in Australia in the (our) winter time and in GA in the summer. Gotta win the lottery first, though, I guess.

glenn

KT–Yeah, I live in GA, in a town called Woodstock, about 40 miles NW of Atlanta.

glenn

Same here, glenn, but San Francisco for me

pinkpantheroz

it’s a blamy 32 here in central Ohio. Mild winter so far. Afew days in the low teens, but then it warmed up.

KillgoreTrout

PPO – Not his dad, his brother, George W. Bush! The worst President in our lifetimes is saying that Jeb has “the judgment” to be President! From his mouth?!
AdLib 7 days ago
Sorry, AD!

pinkpantheroz

I don’t suspect you have too many cold days there?

KillgoreTrout

PPO–I like CA too, but since my family is here in GA, that’s why I would choose GA.

glenn

Heb is really a pitiful character.

KillgoreTrout

KT, yes, This far South the climate is almost the same as Britain or Ireland

pinkpantheroz

If I was running an ad to take down Jeb Bush, it would be tying him to George W.! He brought in Mommy yesterday and now the most despised President who destroyed the nation? It really is going to be over for Jebby after NH and he’s appropriately going out with a Hail Mary…er…Hail Georgie.
AdLib 7 days ago
KT–It’s all in your perspective as to what is “cold”. For me, below 40 is cold, and we’ve had lots of those days and mostly nights. Although last week, our temps were in the 50’s and 60’s; we even had two or three days in the 70’s. But it’s supposed to snow next week.

glenn

What about Rubio’s climb? Just as dangerous as Cruz or, (shudder), Trump?

pinkpantheroz

Calling Dr. Freud!

KillgoreTrout

glenn, I think it’s El Nino’s fault.

KillgoreTrout

I think Heb has a mommy complex.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–Do you think Jebbie is going to fade away? I think he’ll stay in it for a while longer, although I can’t tell you why. But that ad by his brother and now brining in Mommy, who once said that we don’t need any more Bushes in the WH, is just pitiful.

glenn

Rubio has a ceiling IMO, he’s a life raft for desperate Repubs who don’t want Trump or Cruz but they don’t represent a majority of the party. The core Repubs don’t like Rubio for his involvement with the immigration bill. And because he runs on DC current.
AdLib 7 days ago
And his brother has a daddy complex.

KillgoreTrout

KT, does the GOP believe in El Nino? Climate deniers and all?

pinkpantheroz

Gee P, I have no idea. Iknow they’re not real big on science, in general.

KillgoreTrout

PPO–The pundits seem to think that Rubio would be the most difficult to beat in a general election. Given that I think he’s a weasel, I just can’t see that, but what do I know? I just can’t understand how an “anchor baby”, a Cuban, no less, can be so against immigration. That’s what gets me about him.

glenn

glenn – If Bush isn’t in the top 5 in NH, I think he may drop out. If there’s anyway he can claim an improvement in his numbers, he stays in because he has nothing but failure left for him when he quits…the only Bush NOT to win the nom and become President. Poor Jebby! Guess he really wasn’t the smart one.
AdLib 7 days ago
Kt, that’s fer shure. Of course, It can’t be God telling them they are disappointing Him.

pinkpantheroz

Rubio, like the rest of the clowns is a big hypocrite.

KillgoreTrout

PPO, god never disapproves of the RW fundies. He’s on their team.

KillgoreTrout

Just read that Saint Bernie has had a cozy relationship with several large banks for 2 decades, getting FREE checking accounts. Hmmmmmm.

pinkpantheroz

Where did you read that, P?

KillgoreTrout

glenn – The pundits are morons. Just days ago, they believed Trump would sweep IA and NH and had a 90% chance of being the nom. Just a couple of days later, some say he is too weak to win it. Now the meme is Rubio would be a big threat in the GE and is the last candidate Hillary or Bernie want to face. Don’t believe it, Rubio is shallow as a cookie sheet, he would fall apart in a GE.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I guess it depends on what you mean by “smart”. Perhaps he can be considered smart if he reads the writing on the wall and drops out; but considering him the smart one in the family is setting the bar pretty low. Although I think the old man GHWB is (or at least was) relatively smart.

glenn

New Yorker

pinkpantheroz

Wow, that’s pretty reputable.

KillgoreTrout

PPO – That’s a comedy article by Andy Borowitz –

http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/sanders-admits-receiving-free-checking-from-big-banks

Sanders Admits Receiving Free Checking from Big Banks – The New Yorker
A chastened Sanders acknowledged receiving the benefit in exchange for maintaining a five-hundred-dollar minimum balance.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, free checking is a feature offered by many US banks.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–agreed about the pundits. They just need something to blather about. I just don’t see how rubio is a threat in the GE no matter what those morons say.

glenn

Oops, sucker me!

pinkpantheroz

The GOPer really don’t have a qualified candidate.

KillgoreTrout

LOL!

KillgoreTrout

PPO–Sure, I get free checking too by keeping a certain balance in my account. Oops, I see Ad told you it’s a comedy article.

glenn

That’s okay PPO, it’s a compliment to the satirist!
AdLib 7 days ago
Blame my missus, she told me!

pinkpantheroz

That IS pretty funny.

KillgoreTrout

KT–agreed. The gop gets to choose between the devil, the Canadian, and the Cuban. Saw a funny meme the other day–if President Obama is considered a Muslim because his father is from Kenya, are Cruz and Rubio considered Communists because their fathers are from Cuba?

glenn

so, is The Rump going to south Carolina?

KillgoreTrout

Sanders better not use any 2 for 1 coupons at the market or he’s in big trouble!
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, New H. Will Bernie clobber Hillary there, and can he keep any momentum after that like in Sth carolina?

pinkpantheroz

Ha! Great question, glenn.

KillgoreTrout

Great observation, G!

pinkpantheroz

Ad–isn’t using coupons capitalist? After all, isn’t Bernie a socialist?

glenn

i hear Bernie has a huge chache of S&H Green stamps.

KillgoreTrout

KT–LOL! I remember green stamps!

glenn

Careful, we’re showing our age.

KillgoreTrout

KT–is SC where the next debate is? Or is it in NH? And will trump participate in the debate? Seems to me he’s boxed himself into a corner if Meghyn Kelly is one of the moderators? How will he spin that one?

glenn

glenn – I think Trump wins in NH, Rubio may come in 2nd place but may not. However, in SC, I think it would be hard for Rubio to come in first which would blunt his momentum. What if Cruz isn’t even in the top 3? And someone like Kasich gets that place. Then they’d have 4 conteders and maybe Jeb makes a last desperate play in SC? What a beautiful mess!
AdLib 7 days ago
boy, No True Scottsman was at the debate last night. The race to purity.

KillgoreTrout

I don’t know just now glenn.

KillgoreTrout

glenn – That is great logic!
AdLib 7 days ago
Amazing right now that there is thundering silence from DT

pinkpantheroz

I want Rachel Maddow to moderate the next GOP debate! Of course, that won’t happen because GOPer fear her.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–yes, it is great logic; but we all know that logic isn’t in the repubs’ vocabulary.

glenn

P, he still in shock because he is now publicly known as a LOSER!

KillgoreTrout

The next Repub debate is tomorrow night! And most of them will be loaded for bear…except Carly, who’s the only one who didn’t qualify to debate. Aw, poor fetus delusional Carly.
AdLib 7 days ago
KT, long may that continue.

pinkpantheroz

Hear, Hear!

KillgoreTrout

KT–No, we cannot have Rachel Maddow moderate the debate because she hugged both Bernie and Hillary after the debate. According to foxsocallednews, that is just NOT done! And Rachel’s response was perfect. She “threatened” to hug the gop candidates, too, if she ever moderated a gop debate! Oh the horror!

glenn

I am so glad that witch is out of the debate. Just looking at her makes my skin crawl. It’s like looking at Ted Cruz. Eeeeewwww!

KillgoreTrout

Well, how many are left, and has Sanctimonium offcialy pulled out?

pinkpantheroz

KT – That would be cool but as you say, the Repubs are too insecure to have anyone but a RW Repub moderate their debates. Hell, our Dems had Chuck “GOP” Toad as a moderator. How cowardly all the Repubs look.
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, they’re even terrified of their own! MK is the DEVIL!

pinkpantheroz

The horror, the horror! Look what happened to Chris Christie after he hugged Obama. BUT, GW kissed a Saudi Prince, and not a word about it from the RW crazies.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–don’t you “love” how the repubs are so much for rules and regulations, except for when those rules and regulations apply to them? Carly does not qualify on ANY of the criteria set up for the debate, but it’s George Stehanolupus who kept her out, dontcha know?

glenn

Yes PPO, Sanitarium is out along with “Why Did I” Ran-d Paul.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn, that’s the party of personal responsibility, don’t cha know.

KillgoreTrout

PPO – True, Fox News and that powerful, threatening monster of a woman, Megyn Kelly are scary too to Repubs!
AdLib 7 days ago
Did Ben Carson get his change of clothes?

KillgoreTrout

PPO–Sanctimonium has officially pulled out, as well as Huckabee.

glenn

KT, did he shit his pants again?

pinkpantheroz

I wish Santorums’s dad had pulled out so many years ago! (shame on me)

KillgoreTrout

LOL, KT. A lot thinnk like that!

pinkpantheroz

p, I hear Xanax will do that.

KillgoreTrout

glenn – Oh…is that what Carly “Millionaire Victim” Fiorina is claiming. Stephanopolis plotted against her by not letting her break the rules? Oh Carly, this goes out to you:

AdLib 7 days ago
KT–It’s a cliche, but it’s still true. IOIYAR! You can kiss a Saudi prince, hold hands with him in the Rose Garden, start a war, wreck the economy, sell arms to the contras, raise taxes, have embassies attacked on your watch; hell, have the United States attacked on your watch; but it’s all either the liberals’ or Obama’s fault!

glenn

always glenn. I mean hey, Obama caused Track Palin’s PTSD! What a demon!

KillgoreTrout

I see the White Nationalists are robocalling for Trump in NH. That should go down well. What next, the KKK doorknocking?

pinkpantheroz

So what do folks here think about what will happen in the NH Primary for the GOP? Will Trump win? Will Rubio build or stall? What will happen when they go to SC?
AdLib 7 days ago
i think Trump will win NH. Bernie will definitely win NH. He’s something like 20 points ahead of Hillary there. Well, of course, it’s New England.

KillgoreTrout

I fear that, now Rubio is on the rise ans the’Establishment’ candiate, the full weight of the GOP will swing behind him and the more conservative voters will jump to vote for him, odious cretin that he is.

pinkpantheroz

Cruz doesn’t have the fundie vote in New Hampshire.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–yes, Carly is claiming that Stephanolus blocked her because he was part of the Clinton administration. Has nothing to do with the fact that she didn’t meet the very low bar set by the republicans themselves. Once again, the party of “personal responsibility” takes no personal responsibility.

glenn

Personally, I want Trump to win in NH then someone else wins in SC, Cruz, Rubio, etc.. Wouldn’t it just be too damn cool if the delegates were so split up there was a brokered convention at the RNC? That would tear the party apart! Me likey!
AdLib 7 days ago
don’t tell anyone, folks, but all the candidates are establishment, except for Trump and Crazy Doc Carson.

KillgoreTrout

KT are there enough nutters in NH to get Trump across the line?

pinkpantheroz

among those on the right, yeah.

KillgoreTrout

Sheesh

pinkpantheroz

New Hampshire is really kind of purple.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–I like your scenario. A brokered convention would really be entertaining. And the pundits would have a field day!

glenn

KT – Is Cruz really establishment? The Estab hates him and he’s stuck his finger (and other parts of his body) in their eyes. He may be the most widely hated man in all of politics today.
AdLib 7 days ago
Just what is a brokered convention, anyhoo?

KillgoreTrout

Is a BC where they actually have to count delegates?

pinkpantheroz

Ad and KT–Not everyone hates Cruz. His base seems to love him and his slimy voice and demeanor.

glenn

They all are, just by way of where they work. I’m using the 60s definition of “establishment,” because I think their use of that word is meant to make one think of the radical sixties.

KillgoreTrout

PPO – Like KT mentioned, Trump ahs been and continues to lead in NH by a huge margin. He could lose, the numbers could change but there are enough “independent” ecxtremists in the NH GOP to elect him. And I saw normal looking people in NH saying they’re voting for him. NH doesn’t care about the IA results, I think they stay with Trump.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–but if cruz were the nominee, what would the RNC do? Not that I think cruz will get anywhere near the nomination, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see what the RNC would do if he were? Oh the entertainment value of watching them having to eat crow!

glenn

thankfully, Cruz’s base is a small percentage of American voters. They’re the creme de la creme of crazies.

KillgoreTrout

KT, recent conventions have been held, just to crown the already decided nominee. Years ago, the convention was the place wheredelgates from all states, spoke, fought, bit and scratched to get their guy nominated. Nowadays it is just a grogfest, but it may change this time. Good

pinkpantheroz

A Brokered Convention is where no candidate has the necessary majority of delegates committed to them through the caucuses and primaries. The first thing they do is have a formal vote by the delegates who are bound to candidates. After that, all delegates are released to vote as they want and all kinds of horse trading, pressure, bribes, etc. go on as the RNC tries to get one person with a majority. There can be many sets of votes that fail to produce a candidate. If that happens though, the GOP Elite will force delegates to choose one of their own and the RW Repubs will set the party on fire.
AdLib 7 days ago
What Ad said!

pinkpantheroz

sounds chaotic, Ad.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–I agree. I just don’t understand the fascination with Trump. I can’t understand why being angry and lying are requirements for being President. And the fact that the anger is so misplaced just blows my mind! Why isn’t anyone mentioning the part that Congress has played in the middle class anxiety? Why aren’t any of our pundits mentioning all the bills that Congress either won’t or can’t pass? Do you remember when President Obama was first elected and how the repubs were all complaining about all those wonderful bills that were going to help the middle class that were “sitting on Harry Reid’s desk”? Where are all of those bills now that the repubs have control of both houses of Congress?

glenn

glenn – I wouldn’t rule out the GOP Estab trying something devious to steal the nom from Cruz if he won it…like get a court to declare him ineligible because he’s not “natural born”. But that too would inflame a civil war by RW Repubs.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I think I’ve asked you this question before, but if the brokered convention doesn’t nominate Trump, do you think he’ll run as an independent? What about Cruz? Or even Rubio?

glenn

did anybody see the old video of Trump dressed as a farmer, sing the Green Acres theme song? Frickin hilarious. It would have even funnier had Mr. Haney (Cruz) been there

KillgoreTrout

glenn, hopefully your questions will be raised as time goes on. Very good points

pinkpantheroz

KT – Indeed, it could become total chaos and genuinely tear the GOP apart. We can only hope for that! Which is why I wanted Cruz to win IA, Trump to win NH and if Rubio could win SC? A trifecta of insanity for the GOP!
AdLib 7 days ago
like three cats in a burlap sack.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–I would so love to have the repubs bring the issue of Cruz’s citizenship to the courts.

glenn

KT–Yes, I saw that video. It was hilarious and painful at the same time!

glenn

ah, thanks P! Too frickin funny. glenn I couldn’t stop laughing.

KillgoreTrout

glenn – You make a lot of great points. When the moronic Repubs blame Obama for cutting the budget of the military or raising taxes or increasing the deficit, those are laws that Congress had to pass first before he signed them and Repubs have had the power to block or change them. The Repub Congress bears more responsibility for all of those things. The Repubs blather as if we had a monarchy where Obama can do whatever he wants.
AdLib 7 days ago
Maybe Trump will make a campaign stop in Petticoat Junction! Woo Woo!

KillgoreTrout

KT… while Hillary and Bernie visit Happy Days!

pinkpantheroz

I don’t how the GOPers can think our military is underfunded the Navy just came out with three Littoral class destroyers, at several billion a piece, a new air craft carrier, more billions and a slew of new tanks.

KillgoreTrout

P. Let’s hope so.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–the repubs blather as if we had a monarchy, but that is exactly what they want. Trump is going to do all these things not specified yet, because someone else would steal his ideas; cruz is going to repeal every word of Obamacare on his first day in office, and no one knows what rubio is going to do because the koch brothers haven’t told him yet. They all want to be emperors, yet complain when President Obama acts like a president.

glenn

glenn – There is no chance that Trump would get the nom in a brokered convention. If he can’t get a majority of delegates, the GOP Elite will make sure one of their own (Rubio?) gets the nom. And no way that Trump runs as an independent, an empty threat. First of all, he doesn’t want to work as hard as he would have to or spend his own money. Second, trying to get on ballots in 50 states at that point, as an indie, would be pretty much impossible. But I could imagine Trump trolling the GOP nom if he lost…wanting to help Hillary beat whoever it is out of spite.
AdLib 7 days ago
KT–but we have fewer horses and calvary, dontcha know?

glenn

glenn, they don’t really like democracy. Damn, we need more hose flesh! And wagons, lots and lots of wagons, and Gattling guns.

KillgoreTrout

KT–Yea, gattling guns! I really love the way they roll!

glenn

King Donald the First. Puhleeeease, I just had lunch

pinkpantheroz

That should be “horse,” flesh! Ooops.

KillgoreTrout

Funny video! The irony about him losing this week in “Green Acres” IA is great!
AdLib 7 days ago
Emperor Trump?

KillgoreTrout

Ad–but he didn’t really “lose”. Cruz “stole” it!

glenn

I always thought Green Acres was bit further south.

KillgoreTrout

Fuhrer Trump! Round up the usual Muslims.

pinkpantheroz

Ad–Oh, wouldn’t that be great if Trump teamed up with his “friend” Hillary again, to beat the repubs? That would be hysterical!

glenn

Trump really reminds me of a modern day mob boss. Same mentality.

KillgoreTrout

KT–Well he did tell his supporters to beat up protesters, and he would pay the legal fees!

glenn

glenn – So it makes a lot of sense, why Repubs revere Putin. They want a dictator for America but only if it is one with their views. They attack Obama as acting like he’s a king because they think that those with opposing ideas should have no power while they should have all power.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn, I think they’d end up killing each other.

KillgoreTrout

Yep.

KillgoreTrout

glenn, Poo Iddle Donald, out-cheated by a rival? That has to be a first in so many ways. Welcome to the Bigs, DT!

pinkpantheroz

BRB

glenn

Trumps in the NFL now!

KillgoreTrout

glenn – And that is another huge and delicious irony. The rubes who are the Evangelicals in IA supported Cruz because his values were the same as theirs. And he’s a liar and a cheater. Praise Jesus!
AdLib 7 days ago
Jeebus! It’s funnier!

KillgoreTrout

But super creepy.

KillgoreTrout

KT – Actually, I think Trump is a coward like mist bullies, not a real tough guy like a mob boss. Would a mob boss be afraid of Megyn Kelly?
AdLib 7 days ago
I just meant he seems to think like one. I believe he really does. It’s that same mentality.

KillgoreTrout

And I thought Trump was such a sharp businessman and negotiator…then how did Cruz outsmart him, beat him and make him look like a loser? What do you think Putin would do to him?
AdLib 7 days ago
Trump just hires muscle when he needs it.

KillgoreTrout

Ad, Sprinkle him over his rose bushes, later of course.

pinkpantheroz

Trump was too busy thinking about Trump! Hoisted on his own petard.

KillgoreTrout

I saw on TDS a segment that Trump was ridiculed in the past for having tiny fingers. Baby hands. Will look for a photo to see if that’s true but it would be so fitting, he’s like a spoiled brat of a baby. I’d suggest that if anyone actually punched him, he would collapse into a cowardly heap of tears.
AdLib 7 days ago
i guess the artist of the deal got hoodwinked.

KillgoreTrout

Check out how stubby Trump’s fingers are, like baby fingers:

Whoops, here’e the article:

http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2015/10/graydon-carter-donald-trump

Why Donald Trump Will Always Be a “Short-Fingered Vulgarian”
In his November editor’s letter, Graydon Carter reveals the presidential candidate’s thin-skinned response to a favorite 25-year-old epithet.
AdLib 7 days ago
Graydon Carter in Vanity Fair wrote: Like so many bullies, Trump has skin of gossamer. He thinks nothing of saying the most hurtful thing about someone else, but when he hears a whisper that runs counter to his own vainglorious self-image, he coils like a caged ferret. Just to drive him a little bit crazy, I took to referring to him as a “short-fingered vulgarian” in the pages of Spy magazine. That was more than a quarter of a century ago. To this day, I receive the occasional envelope from Trump. There is always a photo of him—generally a tear sheet from a magazine. On all of them he has circled his hand in gold Sharpie in a valiant effort to highlight the length of his fingers. I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow because, to me, the fingers still look abnormally stubby. The most recent offering arrived earlier this year, before his decision to go after the Republican presidential nomination. Like the other packages, this one included a circled hand and the words, also written in gold Sharpie: “See, not so short!” I sent the picture back by return mail with a note attached, saying, “Actually, quite short.” Which I can only assume gave him fits.

pinkpantheroz

PPO – How funny! Wonder if dogging him about this could drive him crazy?!
AdLib 7 days ago
PPO–the short-fingered vulgarian indeed! Loved it when I saw this the other day.

glenn

Any relation between finger size and “manhood?”

KillgoreTrout

PPO–You mean drive him over the edge? He’s already crazy!

glenn

KT – You’re so right, I think there would be a long line to punch Cruz in the face if it was legal. Could make a fortune selling punching bags with his image on them!
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad, we can but try. How about Donald ‘Stubby Fingers’ Trump?

pinkpantheroz

KT–I keep hearing rumors about that relationship, but having no experience in that matter, can’t answer that!

glenn

PPO – How about calling him “Stump”?
AdLib 7 days ago

P, why be cruel to Elton?

KillgoreTrout

Ad and PPO–I like Stump! Sounds like a mob boss name to me!

glenn

KT – Considering his need to build tall buildings, I’ll bet there is definitely a connection between his short fingers and something else that’s small.
AdLib 7 days ago
True, KT, I take it back. Sorry, Elton!

pinkpantheroz

Stump it is!

pinkpantheroz

Trump is the master at over-compensation.

KillgoreTrout

I’ll look into it! The Ted Cruz punching bag, the woorkout that youu can’t resist!
AdLib 7 days ago
Now, if we could only Trademark Ted Crude and Marco Rubbery…

pinkpantheroz

BRB

pinkpantheroz

PPO – Let’s get those trademarks!
AdLib 7 days ago
how about a toilet bowl with Trump’s face at the bottom. Take a dump on Trump!

KillgoreTrout

KT – And to go with that, a plunger with Trumps face on it so his suction shaped mouth is on the bottom of it?
AdLib 7 days ago
PPO–Saw an article the other day about cruz’s logo. You know, the one that says TrusTed. Seems someone looked up TRUS on the internet and it means TransRectalUltraSound. So, we should just call him TransRectalTed.

glenn

well, he does suck.

KillgoreTrout

glenn, that’s hilarious. One could be used to look for his head. I know it’s up there, somewhere.

KillgoreTrout

glenn – That is very funny! I was first thinking of a truss, which of course is an item you wear when you have a hernia.
AdLib 7 days ago
KT–Somewhere on the “intertubes” is a picture of trump’s mouth as a urinal. It’s hysterical! But so fitting. But you can’t take a dump in a urinal, can you? Guess pissing on him is almost as good.

glenn

glenn, only when you’re drunk enough.

KillgoreTrout

KT–Exactly!

glenn

Garbage bags with Trump’s face printed on them?
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I was thinking of a truss, too, but the transrectal ultrasound is so perfect!

glenn

Here’s that image:
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–thanks. I knew someone would find it.

glenn

Perfect! I wonder where that photo was taken.

KillgoreTrout

I think the urinals were an art installation and someone photoshopped Trump’s head in.
AdLib 7 days ago
KT–It was taken in the Trump Tower!

glenn

Ah So!

KillgoreTrout

Trump Sour.
AdLib 7 days ago
Come on, America! Take a Dump on Trump! (You know you want to)

KillgoreTrout

So what do you think will happen between Bernie and Hillary in NH and on from there?
AdLib 7 days ago
Well, Bernie is definitely going to win NH. What else might happen, I have no idea.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–I think it will be a another close one between Bernie and Hillary. Speaking of which, will the Dems end up with a brokered convention if it continues to be close between Hillary and Bernie? Didn’t I read somewhere that Hillary already has a lot of delegates already committed to her? Is that possible before the primaries?

glenn

Will Bernie win NH? If so, by a big margin? If he doesn’t, will the MSM see Hillary as the winner for making it close? They sure didn’t give Bernie credit for that in cutting Hillary’s original 50 point lead over him in IA to a fraction of a point.
AdLib 7 days ago
I don’t know glenn. Bernie leads Hillary by at least 20 points, in NH.

KillgoreTrout

glenn – I don’t know, I could see Bernie beating her soundly in NH. Then they go to NV where she leads but Bernie’s momentum could make that and SC tighten up. Do you think they will be battling to the end like Obama and Clinton?
AdLib 7 days ago
KT–Haven’t seen those polls, but I have seen where Bernie is cutting into Hillary’s lead nationally. You could be right; I think NH is Bernie’s territory, as it were.

glenn

Oh it is. It’s New England. That is Bernie country.

KillgoreTrout

Ad–Yes, I think they could be battling to the end, just like 2008. However, I have no idea who would come out the nominee in the end, do you?

glenn

KT – Not just NE though. Check this out from today, what glenn was referring to, Bernie has virtually tied Hillary nationally:

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/268362-sanders-tied-with-clinton-nationwide-poll

Poll: Sanders nearly tied with Clinton nationwide
The Quinnipiac University poll finds Clinton leading Sanders within the margin of error.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn, right now, I think it’s anybody’s guess.

KillgoreTrout

well good peeps, time for me to say good night. See ya later!

KillgoreTrout

KT and Ad–And, once again, from what I am reading, it’s the young people who are the impetus behind Bernie, although he seems to have a lot of “little people” sending him donations, so he may pass Hillary.

glenn

G’night, KT. Have a great weekend.

glenn

Who would’ve thunk it a year ago? Even 6 months ago? I’ve kept the last week of Jon Stewart on TDS on my DVR and after watching another weak episode of TDS with Trevor Noah, went back last night to watch The Master at work and in August of last year, Stewart was talking about how the Dem primary was like a Bataan Death March to Hillary’s coronation. And now? Really amazing.
AdLib 7 days ago
Night KT!
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–I know. Who would’ve thunk it? However, I think it was also because, at that point, Hillary was just about the only one in the race, wasn’t she?

glenn

Bernie was in but back then, nmo one thought of him as anything but a novelty that had no chance.
AdLib 7 days ago
glenn and Ad, I still think Bernie’s run will run out of steam after SC.

pinkpantheroz

Why do you think so, PPO?
AdLib 7 days ago
Check out the article above, Bernie is rising nationally, in a virtual tie now with Hillary when he was at least 20 points down just weeks ago.
AdLib 7 days ago
I don’t think that Bernie will be able to command the kind of money that Hillary will throw at him. Add to that the negatives that will surely come from the GOP about his ‘comminist’ Socialist line.

pinkpantheroz

PPO – Bernie outraised Hillary last month. He pulled in $3 million in one day right after the IA Caucus. He’s got a lot of donaors and money.
AdLib 7 days ago
PPO–But Hillary has just as many negatives, according to the gop, at least. You know, they will continue the email and Benghazi nonsense, not to mention Bill’s BJ and Vince Foster.

glenn

Also, would the DNC risk all on him? I believe likeability won’t get him across the line with Dem Stalwarts

pinkpantheroz

PPO – I’d suggest that the kind of people who think democratic socialism, as appears in all other democracies, is the same as being a commie, would already be voting for the Repub anyway.
AdLib 7 days ago
I feel the Dems will go the way of pragmatism, with someone who has vast experience in Washington.

pinkpantheroz

PPO–And most of Bernie’s donors, from what I read, are repeat donors. IOW, they are sending him money a little at a time, so even though they’re small donations, they add up when they’re done over time.

glenn

Then again, you never know. How many gave Barack Obama a chance early on against her?

pinkpantheroz

PPO–While I think you may be right about the DNC, the little people who are backing Bernie may make them change their minds.

glenn

PPO – Hillary has an advantage definitely, with her experience and support from the Dem Establishment. She is most likely to be the nom…but then she was in 2008 too.
AdLib 7 days ago
One way or t’other, its going to be interesting, to say the least.

pinkpantheroz

What seems to be happening so far though is that the more people see of Bernie, the higher his national polling goes. Most folks know Hillary so she can’t do the same. I can see a scenario where Bernie can win the nom and the GE.
AdLib 7 days ago
To me the bottom line is I would be happy to back either candidate. I think Dems have two strong candidates, both strong in their own ways. As far as Hillary’s experience is concerned, hers may be more varied than Bernie’s but Bernie has been consistent in his beliefs for all of his political career. I consider that a plus!

glenn

I remember pundits saying categorically that the Dems and America will never elect a black man with the middle name of Hussein.
AdLib 7 days ago
Ad–and the repubs saying that they were going to make him a one-term president!

glenn

Is “socialist” a scarier word than “Hussein”?
AdLib 7 days ago
Time for me to go, folks. Great conversations tonight! Take care and have a great weekend!

glenn

glenn, granted and a good point, but would he be able to keep those beliefs true in the furball of Washington?

pinkpantheroz

Seeya glenn! Sleep well!
AdLib 7 days ago
Cheerio, glenn. see you again soon. Good night to you as well, ad. Great chats as usual
