When you’re in the midst of greatness, you rarely know it until afterwards. It’s natural to just accept and enjoy when something good is going on, not recognizing how rare it actually is. That applies to our remarkable President Obama as well as to a singular comic genius who has made an indelible and lasting mark on our country and society.
Of course I’m talking about Carrot Top.
But Jon Stewart is also pretty funny and it is a major drag that we will be deprived of his wit, insights and conscience on a Daily Show basis.
To commemorate Jon Stewart’s final appearance this past Thursday on the show he made into a comedic and political force, this weekend’s music thread is all about comedy, in music, films, tv, whatever makes you smile.
