Welcome indeed! Wow, it’s been great seeing all the new “faces,” yesterday and the day before. Some of you I know already and some of you I am looking forward to getting to know. You’ve found a great place to hang out, with some
great like minded people.

Pick your favorite tunes that are about being welcome and welcoming others. Post songs about love, friendship, feeling
good, family and togetherness. Have fun and don’t forget to smile while you’re at it. I am looking forward to some great tunes from all of you.

BTW, to embed YouTube videos in your comments, paste the URL then just add the letter “v” after the “http” in it so the URL begins “https”. Our software will do the rest and automatically embed the video.

Joe Cocker – With A Little Help Of My Friend

Pink Floyd – Shine on You Crazy Diamond

The Beatles Hello Goodbye

The Rolling Stones – Just Waiting on a Friend

Killgore, massive apologies on this mixup! This post was accidentally poofed! But as you see, not for good. Now, we have two Kilgore Trout music threads for the price of one, what a wonderful weekend deal!!!

Once again, big fat apologies!!!

I met this band in Singapore in the late 90’s or early 2000’s. They were staying at the Stamford Hilton as was I. When I checked in the desk clerk asked me if I was with the band. I asked what band? She said Def Leppard. I briefly considered saying absolutely….Ended up running into the boys at the bar, had a few drinks. I got some pics, and their autographs for my kid brother which he still has to this today.

I met this band in the early 80’s when I was in the US Navy and stationed down in Florida. They were playing a medium size bar/music joint. Drank some alcohol with the boys, and at the end of the night they let me hop on the drums for a song. A night to remember.

The Guess Who – American Woman

“The day the music died” Ritchie Valens was on the plane.

Think how many other great songs we might have had if that plane had not crashed.

The OKEH Laughing record came out in the late 1920’s (78rpm of course). It has been re-released many times since and Dr. Dimento has included it on several of his collections. I discovered it in the 1970’s when I was in a band and the rhythm guitarist had a 45rpm copy.
