I had to debate with myself for a while as to whether or not to post a music thread, due to this recent, horrible tragedy. I reminded myself of the healing powers of music and song. This thread is about healing, love, family and friends. It’s also about hope and spirituality.

So, just sit back and listen or add some of your favorites that manage to shine through the darkness and help your heart and soul heal from the pain of life’s unfortunate tragedies and senselessness.

  1. No I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
But the mother and child reu-nion
Is only a motion away, oh, little darling of mine.
I can’t for the life of me
    Remember a sadder day
I know they say let it be
But it just don’t work out that way
And the course of a lifetime runs
    Over and over again

    I just can’t believe it’s so,
and though it seems strange to say
I never been laid so low
    In such a mysterious way
And the course of a lifetime runs
    Over and over again

But I would not give you false hope
On this strange and mournful day
When the mother and child reu-nion
    Is only a motion away,
Oh, oh the mother and child reunion
    Is only a motion away
Oh the mother and child reu-nion
    Is only a moment away

For the children that were fortunate to survive, and their mothers.

Thanks for this thread, Killgore. I agree, silence can be painful, music can soothe and many need that right now. Here’s a set from The Beatles:

    Come Together -- Beatles

    Sun King -- Beatles

Within You, Without You -- Beatles
