In the midst of all the hatred and nastiness coming from the right wing over the Presidential election and Trayvon Martin, it seems like a good time to fight fire with water and extinguish some of that anger.

So this week’s theme is about staying on the path of compassion and caring and not letting the hostility of others act as a detour from one’s humanity.

All You Need is Love – The Beatles

Don’t Give Up – Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush

I’ll Be There For You – Bon Jovi

The Space Between – Dave Matthews

Hey there, AdLib,

Wonderful suggestion and great music titles.

I had asked you about my posting an article re the health care issue now in the hands of the Supreme Court, but I’ve decided not to. I was going to offer some information regarding the Federal Employee Health Plan (FEHP), which I am sincerely grateful and blessed to have, as the President’s plan is based substantially on FEHP. Not that either Congress or SCOTUS are willing to tell the general public, but they enjoy the same amazing coverage as do all federal civilian employees.

Imagine, those same representatives who want to take health care from the citizens will lose NOTHNG because their own coverage is secure. They could not care less that they’re throwing everyone under the bus. SCOTUS, on the other hand, which also enjoys the same helath coverage AND retires at the highest pay level they reached while serving ($238,000 for the justices and $248,000 per annum for the Chief Justice)is the annual retirement they will receive for the remainder of their lives. How do you feel about paying Clarence Thomas a quarter of a million dollars a year plus almost free health care?

I did a great deal of research on the subject, added to what I’ve known and enjoyed for many years and will be happy to send some of the links to you if you are interested. Wha tthe WH is not doing for some reason is informing people of what they’re actually going to get. They’ve left the playing field wide open to the GOP to continue embedding in the American psyche the threat of a banikrup country, which of course is crap.

I think I’ll remain quiet at the next two or three VPs so I can get a grasp of when and how to jump ine conversations. It is fun, BTW, if you can survive the centrifugal force.

Take care and talk to you soon.

Bourne
