Men of a Certain Age stars Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher.
It chronicles three best friends in their late forties dealing with the realities of middle age.
Joe, Owen and Terry – who are now in their late 40s. Joe (Ray Romano) is a slightly neurotic separated father of two (Brittany Curran as Lucy, and Braeden Lemasters as Albert) who had hoped to become a pro golfer but now owns a party supply store, and has a gambling addiction. Owen (Andre Braugher) is an overstressed, diabetic husband and father, who works as a car salesman at the dealership owned by his father, a former NBA player. Terry (Scott Bakula) is a struggling actor, working temp jobs to make ends meet and usually dating much younger women.

(*edit: personal confession; Since Star Trek- Enterprise-Scott Bakula (Terry,) could persuade me to follow him anywhere!)

The guys met in college, and have grown ‘older’ together.
It is filled with one-liners, and oldies songs- so you have to pay attention.
Sorry, it’s not one to have on while surfin’ the Planet.

It is silly, dumb, sad, and real.
It’s listed as a comedy, but you can’t avoid the poignant scraps of real life.
The best part may be when they find out that the norm is anything, and it’s survivable!
There might be some tips on covering your tracks, but I’m not too sure it would be a good idea to give them a try!

Ray Romano writes from the heart, and it sometimes tugs at the heart. You can probably find a life-parallel in one of the episodes.
There are glimpses of the college student; frustrated middle agers; and Fathers who haven’t a clue as to how to deal with their kids, wives, ex-wives, parents, and each other!
Personally, I really like this show- but it might be an acquired taste! Give it a look.

Men of a Certain Age, new season, debuts on TNT on June 1, at 10PM.
Great cast- Good show!
