Lights, camera, action…cue the music!
The theme for this Friday’s Music thread is a return to a favorite, music from movies. Feel free to share music and scenes from movies with or without music that are memorable.
Since I’ve hit a lot of my favorites in previous editions, here are some less well known clips:
Lady Sings the Blues – Ain’t Nobody’s Business if I Do

Sweet and Lowdown – I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles

Harold and Maude – If You Want To Sing Out

The Rutles – Cheese and Onions

Your turn!

Your Saturday morning cartoons. Perhaps Osarah bin Palin should watch these. She might learn some history instead of Histeria!.

Don’t know if it’s just me, b’ito, but I think Sarah’s attention might be held by the fact that she bears more than just a passing resemblance to Miss Information. And rightly so.
Love the gnarly potential T-bagger in the last one, with his classic reaction to all of LBJ’s legislative accomplishments: “Ask me if I care.” Although, to be fair, T-baggers do care about LBJ’s programs — in a negative way. They just wanna reverse ‘em all.

One for Prop 19.
Sorry, this video is extremely long. It is a speech by Ms. Sarah Palin on foreign policy and the economy.

Not bad eh? I think she gave that presentation at MIT.

Is “emptyspace” the name of her speech or her function in life?

that when you were walking forwards
that you’d end up further onwards
but things ain’t quite that simple!”
“You
got altered information,
you were told to not take chances,
you missed out on new dances,

Shop of Horrors? Does that bring us to a “Time Warp Again”?
From a film that played for a few days. “jump to your left…”
This should be shown on Saturday Cartoons, or T-Parties

Have to interrupt the movies to say Happy Birthday Robert Plant!
Anyone remember him?
“Dazed and Confused” 1969
This is for both Kalima and Robert Plant.
Viking Kittens.
OK, it’s not a movie-they didn’t exist- first recording of a president?
I watched a movie about the Sepoy Mutiny called Mangal Pandey. Funny thing about the colonial mindset is that in reality it was no mere mutiny, but was the First Indian War of Independence.
Enough history though. Let’s get to the songs!
