You’ve blogged about important issues all week, you’ve earned a chance to relax and recharge. It’s Music Time.
So, this week’s theme for this thread is all about putting aside the weight of the world’s events for a while and just enjoying being alive on this amazing Planet. Share the songs that just make you happy, that make you want to dance, make you smile and make you sing along every time!
I’ll kick off my picks with one that’s become one of my 7 year old’s favorite songs, she calls it “The Big Baby” song because of the CD’s cover art:
Tubthumping – Chumbawamba
What a Wonderful World – Joey Ramone
Mr. Blue Sky – ELO
Brand New Day – Sting
All You Need is Love – The Beatles

And now for something completely different…or some “things”:
If those waiters don’t stop singing and start waiting on customers, they’re going to get a little behind…

Another fun toe-tapping oldie, surprisingly from Pink Floyd, San Tropez:
OK, Tim is one of my dearest friends in the whole wide world. This video does NOT showcase him at his best (I’ll post others that do), but since we are NOT being serious, here we go (and remember -- this is sarcasm):
Hey, I thought this land was for me? You too? Damn socialists!

May I join you in the Swing Department? With a twofer, Bing Crosby and Andrew Sisters in Accentuate the Positive as played in The Singing Detective (one of my favorite tv productions of all time):
Well if your gonna dance—Take your Clothes Off and Dance
Why did so few people listen to him in ’68
